You are going to love! It is a lot of fun and Kevin Bacon is amazing. They did a remake in the 2000's which was very good too, but you have to see the 80's one first. It was so cool, on I think it was 25 or 30th. anniversary of the making of Footloose, Jimmy Fallen Show had Kevin Bacon do his iconic Footloose dance! After all those years he didn't miss a beat. They had a cast of other dancers and really did a great job. It brought joy to my heart. You can probably see that clip on youtube. I hope you enjoy it. You were asking for 80's movies, anything with John Cusack in them is very stereotypical "80's teenage movie". Also anything with actress Molly Ringwald. That might help give you something to go on. Have fun exploring the 80's.

Did you ever see the original music video for the song yet? Deniece Williams is in it. Have you checked out other songs by her? She was already an R&B /Soul legend when they released this song for the movie, it became her biggest hit and one of only a few pop hits that she had, though she had many many R&B hits ..

If you haven't seen it, check the scene with Kevin Bacon angry dancing alone in a factory letting off steam after he gets told off by his family for having the nerve to want to dance in their town where dancing is illegal. He GOES OFF! Iconic movie moment. This video is when Kevin Bacon had to teach all his friends to dance for prom because they never danced before. Fun fact: the big goofy best friend is Chris Penn, Sean Penn's brother, who died many years ago.

Of course you noticed Kevin Bacon teaching this character in the movie how to dance. But did you know who he was teaching. He is Chris Penn the brother of Sean Penn. Sadly Chris died awhile ago from heavy drug use. Chris was in a lot of movies including one of my favorites Behtoven 2 and he played a guy trying to steal st.bernard puppies.

YES! Be SURE to watch the move-AND only the ORIGINAL from 1984 starring Kevin Bacon- not the awful remake one- some good tracks on the soundtrack- Iconic cult classic movie! Another 80’s cult classic MUST is “Dirty Dancing.” Again, ONLY the original in the 80’s starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray- many huge hits on that soundtrack as well- One song that Patrick (the lead actor) wrote and sung, called “Shes like the Wind.” My favorite! RIP Patrick Swayze ❤️🙌🏻 (gone waaay too soon 😢). ❤️💜👍✌️

I thing Denise willams was a gospel crossover artist. This very song was the crossover song. Kenny logins who you saw in we are the world I think did the soundtrack for footloose. It might have been this song or this one and others. Denise did a gospel duet with classical gospel artist sandi Patti Sandi Patti sang god bless America at the 200th century celebration for americas July 4th, 1976 path Independence Day. Sandi didn’t do much pop but Denise was wanted so much in the pop worldly I think like Patti Denise was classically trained. She’s not just singing pop she’s singing proerly

This is my least favorite song of hers because she is a human volcano of a voice and this is fun but does not even begin to show it off. "Silly" (a masterclass of a song) "It's Gonna Take a Miracle" "Too Much Too Little to Late" ......My favorites are her gospel songs "I Surrender All" and "Sparrow"

Sorry, y’all, this was awful. It’s not your fault, but the vocals were sped up. Also, you (or maybe just this terrible version) cut the song just before she hits the most amazing note in the end. Those last notes are everybody’s favorite part. 😢
