Trust me, I didn't want to leave this place. Minutes turned into hours... everywhere I looked I had a massive nostalgia rush. One of the best arcade halls I've ever been to 😇🕹️👌

Great video mate and a great time for you and your kis. I'm from the UK but been in Australia for the last 16 years. Asteroids was the first game I ever played in the arcades....born in 75. I hope I can get back to the UK someday and have the same experience with my kids. Much love x

You and your kids would absolutely love the Arcade Club and to top it off there's one in the seaside resort of Blackpool so could be a great little holiday - I'm going myself in Aug 😇🕹👌

What a great place to visit! and amazing that these days you can play these games on the the good old pc or online! Spend a bloody fortune on them back in the day. Glad you two enjoyed your day out 👍

Ahh cool thanks man, yeah we had a great day out. I was telling the young lad that I used to have around 50p when Ii went to the arcades and I had to choose 5 of my best games and 'get good' otherwise it was home early. Grafting out the skills hehe... amazing to revisit them all again and re-live the nostalgia with free play! Mind you I did pretty well with 1 credit still for an old fart 😇🕹👌

You should definitely go there sometime soon, it's well worth it! My only tip is to go on a cool day, don't leave it until the deep heat of summer... as apparently it gets stifling hot indoors 😇🕹👌

That Arcade game hall looks retrospectively awesome 😺👍🕹️. STAR WARS looks amazing 😺👍. DONKEY KONG 😹👍🕹️!! And the music of BUBBLE BOBBLE... OH YEAH 😺👍!!! Commodore 64 is there, too 😺?! OOOOOH... YEEEEEEAAAAAAH 😹👍!!! HYPER SPORTS is one of the best arcade sports games, i have ever played 😺👍🕹️. Definitely as brilliant as TRACK & FIELD. Thanks for sharing this retrospectively awesome video 😺👍🕹️.

Absolutely! Those were the best days ever... the smoke filled arcade halls of the 80s, noises blaring everywhere... kids running amok - great days we can replicate once more thanks to the Arcade Club... minus the smoke :) 😇🕹️👌

There's one of these in Norwich, I went there for my 45th birthday 😂 what a great day. I played Chase HQ for about an hour.

The plan is to try and get to them all although Norwich is probably a 5 or 6 hour drive for me it'll be worth it 😇🕹👌

I live close by so been here a few times. Absolutely love the place, the pinball machines are great, the Japanese rhythm games are awesome, the classics like Donkey Kong, Pacman (I play that one alot), the newer arcade cabs with Tekken, the Mortal Kombat line, the foods good, alcohols cheap, what more could you ask for 😁😁

I love the Yorkshire Amiga club and am hoping to be over in Sheffield for the next meet ❤️ yeah I think the Bury club is the flagship for the franchise, a huge 4 floor mill! Loved it 😇🕹👌

This looks great we have been to Arcains in Liverpool which is also amazing, 3 floors full of retro gaming. However, my partner has a raspberry pi with every single game on so it's a shame to pay when we have them all at home. 😂

Very true, I have them all on Hyperspin at home - but I do love the nostalgic feeling when going to an actual arcades to play them on the cabinets. Play Expo in Blackpool.os another venue I love attending each year 😇🕹👌

Ahh I'm definitely going to the Blackpool one next - and hopefully Leeds at the back end of summer. This one though is definitely the flagship, knackered after walking those four floors hahaha definitely recommend it big time. What an ace day 😇🕹👌

7:08 Just my luck. i check footage of the arcade to see if the high scores for Sega Rally are showcased (even if briefly) so i can see if my Top 3 time is still there, and when the camera cuts to it, it's showing 9 - 16. My timing is that of a cartoon character. I remember that all i wanted to do was beat Lakeside for the first time, and i got far more than just that. great video though. (if you do remember your trip at all, was the name HAM on the leaderboards still?)

@@CheekyCommodoreGamer if you wanna know how the search has been going, there's been no luck. either i find someone who didn't bother to record the machine, they came in at the wrong time, they didn't shoot at the correct angle, and there was even one guy that displayed the full screen as he was playing it, but because he was zooming past it like he was on a rollercoaster and his camera was really bad the text was basically invisible.

Now by me unless your at a movie theater or a bowling alley they have these half ass arcades that only has the new games. Which are good but I wanna play a game of strider or q bert .

Exactly! Thats precisely the way I see it too. As soon as I heard the Double Dragon or Daytona theme tune... I went into nostalgia heaven for a little while haha, love those games and the attract mode music just brings it all right back for me 😇🕹️👌

How was the sound of the cabs, went to the blackpool one yesterday and most machines either had the sound off or very very low volume, completely ruined the experience for me. Also only had 4 astro city cabs which was very disappointing, there's tons at this one!

Yeah they have a full line of them on one side of the room. I really should have covered then but to be honest I was so overwhelmed with the nostalgic arcades I completely forgot. Doh!! 😇🕹👌

I suppose it all depends on the day. As you'll see from the video I got lucky with the day - but we went first thing in the morning. So I'd recommend go early for sure 😇🕹👌

I must admit... thats exactly what I did to be fair. I mean, the new stuff looks amazing and the cabinets are huge and multi-coloured with flashing neon lights and all... but just give me a regular, zero lights, pure loud arcade cabinet anyday. Oh and stick Double Dragon in it for me too 😇🕹️👌

@@CheekyCommodoreGamer The uprights are classics just brings back so many happy memories for sure. What I liked is the Goliath cabs when the arcade operators didnt have a dedicated cab for and the generic goliaths were the cheaper option just little things that add to the nostalgia of the place.
