Yo, get this: You need clear body panels. See through. Acrylic clear plastic can be molded, provided you get it evenly hot enough and then push it in to the shape you want it in. Then have lights on all the cool technical stuff beneath the skin. That would be soooo sick, brah. Edit: and slap the occasional fish sticker on.

Then burns the heat shrink with a lighter instead of a heat gun... I prefer the butt connectors with solder and shrink built in for bike installs.

Changing colours while riding is illegal. A static colour is fine though. Just a heads up. Edit: When it changes between red and blue it'll grab eyeball's.(as far as I know you can't have changing lights while the bike is in motion. When it's stationary you can do any combination)

Depends on where you're riding. Here in WA anything that is "not a natural color" light is prohibited but I don't think it's a primary offense so they can't pull you over unless you do something else stupid.

If you have proper crimping tools (like$20 on Amazon) crimping is more reliable then soldering to join and splice wires. There is a reason that manufacturers use crimp splicing in OE harness. Also anyone who cuts crimp on ring terminals off to soldier them onto wire ends should really not be giving advice.

If you know how to solder properly it's better than any crimp, but most people don't know how to properly solder a wire connection. I use crimps though because they're quick and good enough for most uses anyway

Solder damages wires worse than a heat shrink but connector. The factory automakers use heat shrink butt connectors for harness repairs
