Love how Ellis is just a chaos gremlin and Andrew is in full tech assist mode. All those years in tech support came through✌️

Most phone fixing places I go to turn away most customers because it's a liability to repair people's products and they'd rather you buy the warranty so they could cover it with insurance and scrap it rather than fix it.

Easily one of my favorite videos yet on this channel. “We’ve got Cholula” about murdered me. Likewise “Is the phone off?” “No…” But my favorite line is absolutely “OH! Swag…!” So much fun to watch. Thanks for this one…!

I really loved both teams, but i would kill to see David trying to fix a broken phone too.

Pretty surprised that it might be an unpopular opinion (judging by this comments section) but i love Ellis's addition to the team. Don't know why but his jokes and replicas just hit something in me, definitely can relate) Cool guy, and love the overall dynamic inside the teams as always

Not gonna lie, Ellis might actually be a very good addition to your team cause he fulfils a niche of jokes that people like myself and I'm sure others find funny + Marques if your reading this man thank you so much for always bringing out high quality content you really inspire me to always make the best youtube videos possible, keep it up!

Always enjoy seeing Mariah in a video. Definitely showcases that the studio isn't just all men.
Both teams were amazing, I think it's a tie tbh. Although I like the chaotic sibling energy of Ellis and Mariah It truly is about the friends made along the way 😂

I love the old versus the new. Marques and Andrew are a seasoned team. Mariah and Ellis are the new edition...and they were under the circumstances formidable!
A good activity as a team and overall a good experiment. Nice work guys!
Wow love seeing you folks getting your hands dirty in the repair movement! Also mad props for those repairs. Those are not easy and pulling them off this well the first time is pretty remarkable.

New found respect for repair people!
It was really nice seeing more of the team having a good time! They all seems like cool and fun people.
The audio of this video was perfect. Levels, EQ, everything!
Did the same to my old iPhone 8 plus, replaced battery, screen adhesive and the head speaker that been sounding awful after all of those years. The experience to do it myself is unmatchable! Now I love my old phone even more) not even thinking to buy a new one. The ability to fix things that you own one-ups the value of it to yourself.
This is fantastic. I’d love to see this kind of content with basically any other piece of tech
Great video. It’s fun watching y’all figure stuff out in real time.
Such a fun video, loved it! 😍❤️ Need more videos like this in future but with different team members! 👀 Mariah and Ellis definitely aced this one! 💪
Do we have any isopropyl? Alcohol? No…we have Cholula 6:37 😂
This is so much fun. I’ve done this on older models and it’s cool
Great video- I think that many people are just too intimidated by what seems like a complex process when, in reality, they are perfectly capable. Would have liked to see a quick sidebar on right to repair and the larger sustainability issues around repair vs. buying new.
To be fair I'm a little dessapointed nobody mentioned "like a little Lego" when popping out the ribbon cables connections hahahaha
This was a very helpful ad! Was able to get my tool kit even though the discount code didn’t work. Thanks guys !!
I now officially have great respect for Zach!
Good job for both teams! Nice work you all
Really great video! Maybe if you do something like this again it would be more fun if both teams were doing it in the same room. Feels more competitive and although there would be "cheating", that would also be more fun to watch
Great job with the outro. It's like I was watching the man himself. That was a really fun video too, something different to spice things up. 10/10
This was a really good video. It was not what I expected, which is probably why I like it so much.
Well, great work to both of the teams you guys did well in repairing those phones
Bro code always works without even seeing each other's face. Loved it! ❤❤
Mariah is grrrreat, love her energy! ❤🎉
I just got my first ifixit kit last night and I love it! Super high quality! Also, first like ;)
This is so refreshing to watch loll great chemistry between everyone too
Idk how to spell her name but she’s awesome. Mariah and Ellis had me laughing. He’s right, it’s about the journey but she has a point… boy we trynna fix a phone 😂
18:20, I love how the studio channel producer is just chilling in the background 😂
I used to do this for people back with iPhone 3, 4 and 5. Seem a lot easier now.
ellis is a hidden comedic gem
This was fun to watch. I wouldn't mind more videos like this one. Good episode guys! Also, what's up with that coffin in the middle of the office?
Ellis is just the most likeable person ever, I adore him!
This is honestly a good team building activity.
Mariah and Eilis are the perfect comedy pair!!!!
Ellis is such a vibe... he has a Gen-Z kind of energy that I totally resonate with😂😂😂❤
Elis is such a great guy. The guy can literally say anything and have me rolling on the floor in laughter 😂
love that they used the iFixIt music!
Have used iFixit guides, and tools for a number of years. Great product/service.
I have been using Sony Xperia phones exclusively for the last twelve or so years. Since we don't have authorised fix shops here in Ghana, I've been pretty much fixing my phones myself for just about that long. Cracked glass back panels (I hate them glass backs! Plastic FTW), screens, charge connectors, batteries, I have done all that. I must admit that with all these years of 'experience', I know my way around the internals of phones to get many replacement jobs done in an hour tops without first reading the instructions, and about 20 to 30 mins if I read the instructions beforehand.
A few months ago I fixed my Huawei Mate 20 Pro simply because I didn't want just to throw it away and had spent nearly £1000 when I bought it around the release date here in the UK. Changed the funny bottom speaker, which was integrated into the charging port, the back panel and the battery. I also fitted a new display which I got cheap from AliExpress, 3 times cheaper than the original display, unfortunately it came without the underscreen fingerprint reader so I managed to transfer the reader from the old display onto the new one successfully. I didn't use iFixit repair kit and still managed to get it fixed like new. I'm surprised that you tech guys have never fixed any phones yourselves 😂 The video is fun to watch and well done to all of you, the whole team. Keep up the good work and I as a massive fan to all your channels would be happy to see more competitive and fun videos like this one. Greetings from London, UK. 👏🏻
as someone who worked at the genius bar and repair iPhone for the past 6 years this was super entertaining! The 13 Pro adhesive really is a pain for sure!
I replaced the screen on my iphone 11 recently and I was really surprised by how difficult it was to get the guitar pick under the edge of the screen to start. The suction cup I was provided with was too weak and would pop off just as I started to see a gap big enough to slide the pick in.
It's kind of tough when I hear people say oh I've heard horror stories about repair shops this coming from a reputable repair shop. And that's the key you have two read reviews before you take it to any repair shop. Too often people will take their phone to the most local guy who says they can fix phones and then they get screwed over. Read reviews people please
I've fixed a couple of my own devices and computers a few times using iFixit and their website, and they literally deserve so much praise. Awesome awesome awesome business.
A red coffin? It can be a serious press package 😅
15:54 when they said 2 hours I was like dang I did these in 20 minutes 😅
Wow I am impressed with this, this is great

the only thing i fix myself was an old laptop when i spilled a drink on it, the iFixit tool kit is definitely clutch

Is nobody going to mention the coffin in the background?
Asurion next to me are superb at fixing phones. And they are certified. They made my fold like new. So, it’s probably the rare case of bad fixes getting into the press. But, I think majority results will be great.
Great idea
I love fixing phone and electronics.
doing this daily, adhesives are the bane of my existence! 40% of the repair time is actually spent on removing the adhesives
This was definitely entertaining to watch 😂
Ellis taking the blue plastic straight to the face is me giving in to my intrusive thoughts
This was so much fun to watch, glad I waited till I got home from work before I watched this, it was so worth the wait ❤
Love you guys
why the heck do you have a red coffin in the studio? Also great vid.
When this channel uploads, I'm way happier than when Marques's channel uploads
Fun clip, i think i would love fixing my own phone now! 19:10 about what Mariah said, is true. When i used to repair my phones i've had in the past, they used to be lagy and slow for some reason. YES, it was third party repair. So today for instance, i have a iPhone 12 and the back glas is broken (yes, i rock without a case, why in the would would you make your phone bulky) but i'll stick with it till it probobly dies🏎Ride or Die

@@Manganellia1 Yeah! Just your tone of voice combined with gestures made it very nice to watch. Reminded me a lot of how Marques does it.
I'm a Civil Engineer, with no experience with tech hardware, but I have fixed many phones since the iphone4, replaced many iPad screens and batteries since the iPad 2, and a couple of Macbooks thanks to Ifixit. Their Guides are perfect.
I've said this, if we ever get a disc golf game we need marques in it. Maybe a dbrand disc as a special thing for his character?

I remember changing a battery in my Nexus 6. For some reason, the connector did not connect initially 😅
Honestly at the end Marques was giving off new parent vibes like "look at what we made". So beautiful.
Great video 👍
Ellis saying swag at about 10:00 really caught me off guard, haven't heard that in years.
Ellis: We have any isopropyl? Mariah: Alcohol? [Off-camera]: We’ve got kahlua?
Cool video guys and gal good job 👏👍🙂
