We’ve Got a HUGE Problem 😨 We’re Leaving the RV AGAIN!?
The RV Renovation is done! But now we've got a big problem. We’ve been trying for weeks to get our RV into a shop to get a few mechanical issues sorted and keep hitting dead ends. And just when our tow vehicle gets done with its engine upgrade, disaster strikes! So we’re completely changing our plans and desperately trying to get everything sorted so we can finally hit the road for good.

Don't forget to weigh Clementine and Ruby (and measure Clementine's height) and tape the numbers to the dash so you know what bridges to avoid.
If you are flat-towing, periodically check the brakes on the RV, as they are now stopping more mass than originally designed for.

Napa auto parts has a line of brake products called their Fleet line. It was designed for ambulances and police cars and the heavy duty market. Really great quality.

LOL that RV will not even know that little Suzuki is back there.
Keep your windshields covered in RainX, and the sticky bug guts will wash off easier. Not to mention the RainX really improves visibility in bad weather.

Antiseptic wipes actually do a surprisingly good job of both those things.

Also, I always use the RainX brand wiper fluid, you can get it at WalMart.
You guys have such a sweet positive outlook and easy manner way of sharing and presenting. Glad you guys and Ruby safely completed your first adventure together. Little story about driving a stick... When I was fresh out of service as an Army officer and about to enter law school in the metro NY area, I needed to get a "new" car to replace a big gas-guzzler I had in the service. With my dad encouraging me, I ended up buying a cute used Datsun 510 hatchback with manual transmission. One problem: I didn't know how to drive a stick shift. My dad said, "By the end of today, you will." He took me out to an abandoned Air Force airfield and, yep, by the end of the day, I could drive that thing, even up and down hills. A year later, I even taught my new boyfriend how to do it. Fast forward 42 years later, and that Datsun remains as the only manual transmission car that "boyfriend" and I have ever owned, but I know I could still drive one if I had to. He's not sure he could...
Allison - “oh it’s so tiny!’ Uk viewers; it looks quite big. And, you’ve going to tow it?

I'd hate to see what you thought of my Nissan Patrol.
I am always impressed by how resilient and resourceful you both are. I really felt the frustration you both must have had over the whole transport issue. Glad to see you now, so close, to the full RV road trip experience though! The culmination of such a long process deserves a massive celebration, so congratulations in advance!!

This is all drama!!!
Hi guys. Fabulous road trip. I'm a single (widowed) woman in my early 60's. Six years ago I made my second cross country trip by myself, well my sweet dog, Bear..my poodle was with me at that time.... he's resting now. I have begun my new journey with my little rescued Shih Tzu. She's about to turn 12 in a few months...Guess I figured us two ole girls can have just as amazing road, travel experience as we want. Not cross country again by myself, but oh how I love seeing as many beautiful State Parks, the amazing scenery. My last trip was from Arkansas back to home in Seattle. Cross country was from Seattle to a friend's house in North Carolina. I was driving a 1988 Jeep Cherokee...she never gave me a minutes trouble...until the trip home..some valve got stuck and my engine was roaring sitting still. Oh funny, but a quick fix, and I was back on the road. I have one quick question...I'm new to your site, and at the end here you told us some creative ways to pay for the traveling. Perhaps it's too personal to ask, I respect that...but I've always wondered how young, obviously retired?, how do you have the funds to pay for all of it? I sincerely think it's wonderful you can pay for everything you need to keep the adventures going...and you see others doing all this traveling...but they never say how are they paying for everything. At $100 at a time to fill your RV tank...I can't imagine at $4 + a gallon of gas now...ouch. Anyway, me and my little dog with be going camping soon. In the great Pacific Northwest we haven't really warmed up yet... Be safe, and may the road go on forever 🐦🌷
So you’re going to tow, and you have options on how to do it, but a good trailer may be your best option. You can’t back a vehicle being towed with a tow bar, and while that may not sound like a big deal, it sure could be when it’s the least opportune moment to unhook. And if you choose a trailer you could have storage compartments on it that increase what you can bring with you. I love camping and the adventures from it, but you all are doing more than that, you’ll be living in it, so more space may be a great thing. Just something to consider. Love your videos! And love that you all are from the Bluff!
You guys are adorable. Congrats on getting Ruby and Clementine together. I wish you great adventures with them.
You two are amazing and gracious ❤️ keep trucking along with the positive outlook you have in all you face.
The engine compartment looks great. Sorry for the troubles, but don’t forget that even when you are sidetracked you can still have an adventure.
I would replace the tires with the smaller factory sized ones. Bigger tires can effect handling and gas milage. Especially since you're towing her.
Ruby!! Perfect! You guys are all set now for your road adventures. Cant wait to follow along.
When I had my samurai a few years ago, about once a year or more the cable would break. The first time that happened I went to the dealer and they ordered me one. It was way expensive for a 2 ft piece of cable. The next time I went to the hardware store and bought a 10-foot piece of cable the same size and everytime it broke I could fix it within a couple minutes. I always kept the cable and a couple tools in the glove box. Love your videos!

Oh jeez. Good to know they go out somewhat frequently...we'll have to get another one to carry along with us, or just get some cable like you 👍
The twisted T upgrade will also allow you to shift into 2WD Low. So as you know you have to engage the manual locks on the front wheels to be able to use 4WD, but if you don't feel like doing that, you can keep the locks in 2wd and shift into 2wd low and you'll be surprised what you can go through, especially with that motor. There's a ton of forums online that cater to these trucks. Zuks off road is a good one.
I was having deja vu watching your trip back to TX! In March, I flew to Tampa to pick up a 1993 Geo Tracker (same car as you-really) to drive back to Iowa! I had no A/C either…and no fan/vent/defrost! I had to make 2 trips to O’Reilly’s and a trip to Jiffy Lube before I could even leave Tampa! I ended up buying a 12V fan and clipped it to the passenger overhead handle to blow at the window. Then my “soft” top started to blow off on the interstate, so I had to find a clamp to keep it down for the 20 hour drive! I was by myself…aside from my Bluetooth speaker! Oh, and manual transmission and NO CRUISE CONTROL!! My right calf started cramping on the first day! I feel you! I made it home with no mechanical issues, and I’m working on “Sunny” bit by bit! Will be a great TOAD! Keep up the great videos!
I am so happy for both of you because it's finally time to almost get on the road with Clementine & Ruby
Great job! Now you're ready to roll! Have fun and be safe!! Love from SC, Jane❤🙏
Nice to meet you my lady, Ruby! Happy trails.
AWESOME! One of those wind deflectors on the end of the hood could help the buggy windshield. Not always sexy but could help when towing too and just remove when just taking the short jaunts. Can't wait to see the total package in action with The BEANS!
Ruby! Hooray! Awesome name! And driving stick is so fun--you will love it, Allison!!
Y'all's tenacity is inspirational. We're going to buy 🛵, no tow vehicle too many issues. Happy and safe travels.
Thanks for bringing us along! Love Ruby and Clementine!
Love Ruby! Well done for keeping a positive attitude through the rough.
You guys are so positive. Very refreshing.
I knew this is going to be a great video and welcome to the family Ruby it's an endless Adventure but an exciting one all the time
Ruby was my suggestion so I love it. I have a Ruby also (2009 Chevy Trailblazer). Good Job guys you are having too much fun!!
Great name, great video. Stick shift is so easy once you get the balance right.
So sorry you two had such a rough time. But that's behind you now.
With the experience of a LOT of night driving in the Australian Outback (with stonking great big driving lights on my large 4wd wagon) the BEST thing for bugs on windscreen we've found is antiseptic/antibacterial wipes. Firstly, it takes them off well (some will need more scrubbing than others) and gives the screen a little coating that seems to help them not stick and use as much washer fluid to wipe them off. Then, then extract time you stop, just wipe over with the wipes again and go for it.
Cool little truck! My cousin had one back in the day that he modded a bit for off roading. It was tons of fun.😁
Found you guys from watching Travel Beans. Such a great couple , enjoy guys and good luck on your adventures 😀

Welcome to the adventure, Graham! And thanks so much :)
What and Adventure it was. Glad you made it back safely. Ruby looks good and strong.
Why did you not drive the RV to Florida. Spend time on the beautiful beaches, snorkel the coral reefs, eat delicious seafood, go to Key West. You past up a great opportunity in my favorite state.
It's fun to watch your adventures, as always! Ruby is a lovely name
can't wait till you travel around, really miss seeing sights and your restaurant food & coffee critique
It was such a relief that Clementine hadn’t broken down. That’s what I thought from your title. Anyway, so glad everything worked out! And she looks like a Ruby, too. Awesome choice! Safe travels ☺️
Love Ruby, great name and lovely little motor 👍🏻👍🏻
I didn't know you guys were on gutted so excited can wait for it to debut in a few weeks
Ooh I hope our Pearl the Van gets to meet Clementine and Ruby on the road someday!
Love the new intro graphic with Ruby in tow! ❤️
I enjoyed that thanks , hopefully Ruby will work out well for you . Can’t wait for the next video.
Just hopped on to your Vlog, you all seem so fun and take setbacks in stride. I am now hooked!

Congrats on 500K subscribers 👏 🤩🤩
What a great "Combo Combination"...Two great Oldies......should put together a "Caravan Trip" to Quartzite, AZ....ONLY with "Good looking Oldies" like ours.,...HAPPY TRAILS....YOU TWO.!!!
"Vintage Air" makes self contained A/C systems that mount in cab under the dash so you don't have all the underhood components to deal with. They come in a variety of sizes and BTU's for different vehicles and vintage smaller cab cars/trucks/Hot Rods so you can get one that works for Ruby.
My gosh! It is beautiful! the vehicle.
that company sucks. sorry they ghosted you guys. you are handling the challenges with so much grace. can’t wait to see all your adventures with Clementine and Ruby!

It was the exact situation we were trying to avoid, but what can ya do? 🤪 At least now we have them both in the same place and are that much closer to finally setting sail!
Allison with her Michael Jackson imitation, priceless! LOL!!!!!
Awe, Ruby, love it!!!
You should actually name the transport company so no one else would have same issue.
LOL Allison, smiling, looking at the camera: "Now. . .they're dead to me." Ruby indeed! 😎
You two have the best attitudes when disaster strikes!!! So glad you made it back to Clementine with Ruby!!!
I just returned from a two week road trip in Albania with a manual transmission rental car. It was so much fun to drive a stick after 30 years. When I got back to St Louis it took me a couple days unlearn the muscle memory of driving a manual.
Thats a good buy, its been converted to a Sidekick 16-Valve 1.6L fuel injected engine. A lot more power then the carbureted 1.3L stock engine.
Nice upload. Interesting to watch. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
That is my favorite Sammy ever!! Not only awesome find but what was done to it is perfect 👌

Thanks! We are so happy and lucky to have found her! We were searching forever for the perfect one and had almost given up when we finally came across the listing 😍
So much going on. You must be exhausted driving so many days. Wow. Take care.
It will be neat to follow how your tiny house style unfolds...enjoyed Route 66 trip, old diner (barbecue sauce ecstasy). Suzuki did work for fuel efficiency, so maybe get anointing of "business decision" corporate model... flexible to future proof that works.
I remember seeing a home made air conditioning contraption where they used larger diameter PVC pipping and hung the open ends out the window facing the front and drilled holes on the piece that ran inside the vehicle to let the air blow on the rider
Wow, what an endless adventure just on this video! You guys need a break! You worked so hard on Clementine, I hope she gets fixed up very soon. Looking forward to the next video!

Thanks, Pam! If we can just get a mechanic to fit us in, we'll be all set 😅
I was in Orlando visiting Universal and we decided to extend our stay but the first hotel was booked and we ended up staying at a really cheap Motel 6 that was less than up to date. The staff was super nice and Motel 6 accomodations for dogs is so super awesome. Also it was only 4 minutes from the theme park so another bonus. Sometimes you just gotta roll with it.
Such a cute car! We had a very similar cute little Suzuki Vitara in Portugal - similarly no ac! Such fun to drive.
Used to live in Pinellas Park and St. Pete have a 88 1/2 all stock used to drive mine to Lakeland to the Green Swamp all the time.
Well done guys 😁🤗

We can't wait for our little citrus gals to be on the road together ♥️🧡
We are in the boating community. You would not believe how much difficulty friends of ours have had making arrangements to have their sailboats shipped via tanker from Mexico to Vitoria, Canada. Contact, no contact, and when they got the deal in place, they were told if they had to have the sailboat sailed to Mazatlan or Mazanillo (you do not get an option …you have to show up in the port the shipping company designates and there is not much advance notice). It is very stressful making the arrangements, including having a motor boat following you so you have a ride back to shore since the sailboat is going on the tanker without you. Then, you have to drive to Victoria and arrive before the tanker arrives, so you can take delivery of the sailboat. One couple we know had their sailboat positioned on the bow of the tanker (again, you have no say in where the placement is). The tanker took on a large wave and the couple found their sailboat with a lot of water inside it when they took delivery. As you say, an endless adventure!
Y’all. This video feels like my life so often. Last Sunday my tire blew, the plug didn’t last, and the donut went flat when I drove it down the street. Today we had to get a whole new tire put on. Crazy world crazy world. Grateful I don’t go through this alone
I had a feeling it was ruby. Perfect name for her! Safe travels
Love the name Ruby, feels so obvious once you hear it
Hi really really enjoyed watching your video and the to pick up the Suzuki loved seeing them side by side lol really looking forward to seeing your next video keep safe 😷👍🏻
Ruby works. Happy Trails.
Enjoy adventures with Ruby and Clemintine!!
If you don’t have it yet, get AAA Premier Level Roadside Assistance . It’s for RV’s too.
You said Hella.... as an SF native it warmed my heart just a tad... Love the suzuki, keep it up
Hi guys; quick suggestion: maybe consider switching your power steering to electronic power steering so that you can use the pulley from the power steering for an AC compressor OR use an AC kit from an electric car
That is definitely an awesome looking Samurai!
We stayed at that Ramada hotel last week before our cruise and it really feels like how you described it. It was awful! And soo sorry you had to stay in Perry. Hope you didn't hear any banjos!!
It's mad how the wheels on Ruby are like twice as big as the ones on Clementine!
well at least it was the gas pedal and not the brakes that fell down 😨😜 admire that you guys keep the mood up no matter what, Allison&Eric tha BEST ⭐️👏👏👏:))
I feel your guys pain. My wife's car transmission dropped out and now mine is starting to act up.
haha 'sometimes you just want it to end'..the best hahahaha
Oh my gosh! I’ve eaten at Bruce cafe many times!!!! Good ol southern comfort food.
You guys are great. I also travel a great deal and have adventure issues but compared to my friends and what they have to dealing with, stage four cancer, Covid, problems with relationships etc I only feel blessed that my problems having to do with a hotel in Paris or a flat tire that makes me an hour late. I will take Travel problems any day over other issues.
Take care. 👍👍
The light at the end of the tunnel 😁
Thank you for another video that made me sit with big grin on my face for 20 minutes! But please note that I truly feel for you regarding all the [BEEP] that has hit you.
I almost didn’t want to watch it! But I knew you would pull through you’re the irrepressible endless adventurers 😎
Yet again another Endless Adventure!!!! Thank you
yuk Perry Florida , we were stuck there with car problems also, not fun
Lived in Perry Florida for 6 month. A unique town for sure.
What a lovely Samurai.
Saw a guy with a Model T street rod put a small room ac through the rear of the car. Powered it with a generator on a platform in the hitch! Cheap, tacky and effective.
I love that you added the Suzuki to your intro
Would it be an Endless Adventure Video without something going wrong 🤔 I don't think so because it is always great watching you solve it🤣 Seriously... hopefully no more issues. Awesome video as always
I wish that we could have seen Ruby here in Pearl River La. Oh, and y'all too! Lol! Love the name
Ruby is a great name! Fitting too. With Ruby and Clementine, you guys are building a little family!
❤ Ruby the pocket Rocket ❤ you guys definitely get your fare share of challenges...and then smash right through them!
So sorry that you had to drive from the FL panhandle to Texas without ac in 100 percent humidity.
I LOVE driving and have driven overseas and all over Australia/NZ and I have no idea how to drive a manual either!
