Welcome to the Ultimate Expedition!
Journey over grueling mountains, hazardous swamps, and bone-dry deserts on a distant world far from civilization - it is just you, your fellow adventurers and the amazing, jet-powered hover-buggy you built yourself. Explore, crash your vehicle, build a better one, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find along your way.
Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

I think that happened because of a physics optimization games like to freeze physics objects if they aren't interacted with and aren't moving fast enough for a long enough period of time I'm guessing it barely hit the requirements and got frozen in place

YESSS IVE MISSED EVOLUTION SO MUCH!!!! There’s a couple challenges you could do for example you have banned blocks ( planes without modular wings etc ) or how far out to sea you can get on the high seas map.

Day 2 of asking, Dear Scrapman, I have an idea. The challenge would be to go as fast as possible in either kp/h or time from corner to corner of the grid map with a set power core limit like maybe 50 or 100. I think this would be an interesting challenge due to the need to balance aero, acceleration and the power limit.

I think one of my favorite videos was when you guys built gliders to see who could go the furthest. Maybe see who can build an ornithopter with some kind of objective?
Something I would like to see is a dog fight evolution, the one who wins has their craft used obviously, i think it'll be cool.

Yay! Trailmakers evolution is back!
Love to see the evolution back! You should try a multi-video evolution, where you continue evolving a previous video’s vehicle. You could even set a new goal and evolve the vehicle for a new purpose, like evolving a helicopter into a plane.
a one wheeler evolution would be amazing
I always loved these but I’ve never seen one that isn’t over two years old. I’d love to see these come back because this is what introduced me to you and it has always been nostalgic, however modernised or new editing/details there are.

I don't think he sounds better, just that it's louder now. "New" editor probably equalizes the audio better than Scrap did. Very often back when Scrap used to edit all his videos, Moonbo's and kAN's audio were SUPER low

@@johnderat2652 Yea i remember that but i dont know... I remember a while ago going to Kan's channel and he still sounded a bit weird to me. I might not remember correctly. But yea the sound level helps a lot.

Yzuei's "peak evolution" gave me an idea. Land vehicles where your only thrust is the giant rocket engine.

Huh, that is an interesting twist that Yzuei sort of mentioned. I wonder how a devolution race would work where each round the worst vehicle moves on to the next round instead of the best. You would still try to win each race, but would have the extra challenge of having to fix whatever the other person messed up with. I feel like it would add an interesting bit of chaos.

Rocket bike evolution. It's like bike evolution, but you have to start with one of those Saturn V rockets and you're encouraged to use something other than wheels (either hover pads or skids), but you're not allowed to outright fly.
