So great to see all the changes to the yacht. The crew did an amazing job getting it all done in short amount of time. Now it’s time to get the winter Caribbean season underway. 🛥️🥂

Great Videos! Quick question: Why couldn’t you use the engines in the beginning at the maneuver in the harbour and had to rely on the tug drivers?

Amazed how well run this yacht is. The owner doesn't scrimp on maintenance, repairs and upgrades.

I know this would never happen because obviously they have every reason to be discrete and preserve their privacy, but wouldn't it be fascinating to hear from the owners themselves and gain at least a glimmer of an insight into their experience owning this magnificent property and how they've come to entrust it to this consummately professional crew?

there's a reason they say that the cost of maintaining a vessel is between 10-20 percent of its purchase price yearly. the owner doesn't charter to make money. he charters so he can spend 6 weeks a year on his boat and it costs him nothing to do so. the charters pay for the crew and maintenance. by not continuously updating and fixing things immediately you are just kicking the can down the road. they say the 2 happiest days of boat ownership are the day you buy it and the day you sell it. this boat will need to be sold one day. it makes it a hell of a lot easier to sell a boat if it has been looked after well its entire life and believe it or not whether it has been used consistently. a boat that doesn't go to see is a boat that's rotting away in a marina. some boats become marina queens and the costs are the same whether or not the boat runs or not, its just the engines and all mechanical systems are not made to not be used.

We try to do as much as we can ourselves. Only getting in outside contractors when specialty skills or tools are required. 🛥🥂
I spent a week on Antigua some years ago. I asked the guide about the houses between the airport and resort looking so shabby, and she said they don't bother going super flash as they have to regularly repair after big storms. She also pointed out the houses mostly had some nice cars parked outside, so not to worry about the locals because they were doing OK. My other big memory was the man who patrolled the resort at night carrying a shotgun. I asked why he needed the gun and he said it was for cows that roam onto the grounds. Yeah, right! Anyway, Loon is looking super sweet after the refurb, and goodness knows what it all must have cost? Especially the Bridge update. I've already seen the new tender video, and that's dream boat all by itself. Paul had the throttles pegged with all 1700hp pushing the boat to 50MPH. Google tells me that was using 560 litres of fuel per hour, and Paul must have been a good half hour at WOT. That must be a couple thousand dollars in fuel cost!
I love how proud the crew is of the yacht and of its improvements
Welcome to the new Loonatics. Nice to see yet another Aussie on board.
She's looking good. Captain Paul heaves a huge sign of relief when the tug men got Loon back in her slip. Nice to meet the new crew members. The Loon sense of humour is there too 😊
Alex showing off the bridge 😎 think we will have to get into that engine room and give the tour next time 😂
The guy at the end who was actually shy, I like him.
As a South Australian I was a buzz to see Aussies on your amazing vessel. I've enjoyed all of your presentations tremendously. Thanks very much and as per the norm I'll look forward to your next presentation. Kind regards

Thought engineering would fill us in on what it took to get the main engine restarted. There was mention of a high pressure fuel pump when it shutdown at sea. Otherwise, it's amazing how much was done to the ship. Looking forward to more video...
The Loon is an amazing Super Yacht and her crew work's together so well that you can see the pride that each member has of her. Absolutely Special ❤
damn boats are so hard to maintain ! they were maintaining a lot before the upgrade and still needed changes. huge respect to the whole team!
Great job the boat looks amazing and the new signage looks amazing. We look forward to meeting the other 2 crew members. Tristian is doing a great job and look forward to seeing more of him. The engineer’s deserve a call out also well done in getting the work done. A cool video would be seeing the new crew learning to kite on how easy it is 😩
Great video welcome back Capt Paul. Blair great you had a good vacation. You forgot to mention the engine that broke down on journey to Florida crossing Atlantic. Will be nice to meet all new crew. looking forward to next video

Really impressive on all fronts! Amazed at how much maintenance work the crew does. Strong work boys and girls! 💪👍

Loved the video, the new bridge layout looks great clean unobstructed view now from the moment you enter the door to the bridge. Would possibly like to see more of the engine room operation / as an ex mechanical engineer I still enjoy getting to know how all the oily bits work along with the piping & cross pumping. Both engines up & running 😊 safe & happy cruising for the season to you all .

Looks awesome without the domes. Years ago I did a bareboat sail around the BVI out of Fat Hogs Bay. It didn’t seem to matter how far we anchored off any island the nighttime mosquitoes were horrible. How do you keep your guests from feeding the mosquitoes?

I love how the tug is struggling on the bow. No wonder Paul is a bit skittish!
great video again! Could I ask what kind of sewage treatment unit you have installed?
Love all the ''LOONS'', such a great togetherness. Did Alex get the HP fuel pump replaced on the engine that failed on the way over from Gibralter? Surprised there was no mention of that. Keep up the amazing work and enjoy Antigua.

What are the roles of a Bosun, Purser and why are the ETO and first officers rotational?
What kind of internet speeds do you get with Starlink?
Where are your engine and generator exhausts? Under water? Big silencers / mufflers, it seems.
Does the Loon have a lift between decks for guests?
are you coming to the cayman Islands this season
Will Antigua be your home base in the Caribbean or do you move around? Also was just curious how you manage the passport/visa situation while in the ship yard? Is the crew free to come and go in and out of the ship yard?

I really enjoy the crew interviews. However, you didn't interview Franco. Is he camera shy? I was also trying to follow the crew bios on your website and there were several whom you didn't interview. Plus you interviewed Alex, but he's not featured on the website. I find I'm getting invested in M/Y Loon and her crew so I enjoy reading about the various crew members and where they're from. Do the Croatians feel left out on jokes due to all the South Africans on board? Again, thanks for producing this incredibly interesting vlog. I look forward to each of your new episodes showing what life is like onboard a super yacht!
It's a shame there isn't a better forward area for seating whilst underway or whilst stern to in the Med
What has happened to the old crew? Have Henro, Lauren and others left Loon to go onto bigger and better things or are they just on holiday temporarily?
Blair you did Corey dirty by using the NZ flag next to his name when he's an Aussie lad, and even better a QLDer!
