With a castor oil and petrol soaked rag attached to the fan and a bb gun firing bb's at your dome to simulate bug splats. Some IC engine noise would really help with immersion too.

With a Headtracker it would be more perfect. But it's really really nice done!

i think if you could transmit a near 180 degree spherical view, and then when you turn your head just show slightly different parts of the view. that would be cool. no need for a tilting camera of any kind

@@22Tech you would have to have something with good graphic power on it to process all that in realtime. It's possible just going to be complex to configure that. Unless some one has already done it.

@@DesertFernwehthere are ready to use sets, it's a transmitter on your goggles, wich talks to a reciver for that, or flight controller or so. Than you only need two servos for the gimbal on the camera. And I mean when they can build such a nice simulator chair, this can't be a problem.

Build a platform so the cockpit is not on the floor, just about chair hight.

@@bubblezovlove7213 whoa. You have a cool idea there. You hang it from the ceiling, and then you put a big weight at the bottom so it's fairly stable when the controls are level. But then you move the weight around below you by moving the controls. This not only adds weight to the controls but would also tilt the aircraft around in regards to the controls.

That's crazy ! You should definitely put a vibration generator that increases in frequency with the throttle so it sends sounds and vibration through the metal structure making it very realistic !

This is not a new idea, turning damaged fuselages into simulators. Used to control R/C, I'm sure someone must have tried it, but that's less common. I'm glad they're doing it though. It'll be interesting to see how they accomplish "full motion."

Peter actually used to be a part of the fire test crew back in the old days of the channel so most likely yes.

Question. Has like any company approached you like with an offer to manufacture any of your builds?

Anyway to set it up like a racing simulator, add head tracking? This is already amazing, love how you're channel is pushing the limits and sharing it all.

I've watched a TON of your videos, but this may be the coolest thing you guys have done.

You guy's should do a full 280 degree screen set up with it. Have the door to get in go up or out like a plane door with the screen in it.

You need head tracking on the goggles that controls a camera gimbal. That would give you MASSIVE emersion.

Gotta make some kind of fpv camera rig that moves when you turn or tilt your head left/right/up/down. Maybe even put control instruments display (airspeed, elevation, direction... ect) in the plane then you can look down and actually use them

I've been watching this channel since the vlogging days, and I love how much you guys have grown. I was planning to go to FliteFest last weekend, but sadly I had other plans then. I fully support your channel, and I hope to come visit you guys at Edgewater soon. Currently I am in the middle of my very first scratch build, the Swappable Spitfire. Once I finish it, I plan to come up all the way from Alabama to fly it for the first time with you guys! Enjoying the content, keep inspiring people like me to change the world. Love you guys!

You guys should do a video where you build an airplane and then drop a action figure out of the back with a parachute

Sea fury vs mig 15 in giant scale would be an awesome fight!

I think you need to have Peter help you add hydraulics to the FPV chair and connect a second reciever up to those hydraulics using a Arduino uno . That way which ever way you steer your plane you actually feel like you are in the plane. Just a thought.

If u guys decide to make it with screens it would be really cool if u would add some instruments 👍

I always wanted to do that with a RC plain .so cool.

A cool addition could be adding altimeter and gyro sensors into the planes, with matching meters displayed in fpv, since it looks like altitude especially could be a little tricky to guage in fpv!

Congratulations on bringing David on board- day one and he is already pushing FT to "ever better". It's just a suspicion, but is David, by chance, a veteran? Huge presence and his focus as he took on the FPV project was awesome- a whole lot of "adapt and overcome" it looked to me! Subbed long ago- David is just more "cream for my coffee", and I mean that in the best way! At 5'9" and a buck sixty, it's not nice to aggravate nice, well spoken and mannered folks like David, no siree! Onward, and as your are Flite Test- Upward! PS; If that was David's "first flight" ya'll have to get him up in the "real deal"- his comments and rapid situational awareness should make a really good pilot! FR

Definitely a sim-pit (simulator cockpit) or a sim-pod. Although, to really step it up, you gotta add a pan-tilt mechanism for the camera. It doesn't feel right unless I can look around and see the whole world around me.
