As a millennial I appreciate that you guys did these videos. I met JDF (Tommy) in person at Planet Comic Con, and he was the nicest guy I ever met. Really patient, kind, and made sure to interact with every one of his fans while we all waited in line. It really hurt when passed. R.I.P. JDF

I saw him when he was going to toy stores during COVID. It was kind of funny that I was 26, and probably the youngest person there. He was super nice, and tried to talk me into going into martial arts.

​@@rad4924 IIRC the company who owns the copyright to this content has the choice to monetize any content claimed videos, in which case they're the ones getting the ad revenue. If that's the case, then KZread didn't have a choice in the matter, since the copyright owner has full control over if ads should or shouldn't run on this video. KZread do however still run ads on videos even if the creator has turned off monetization for (or can't monetize) and have no copyright claims, that's 100% on KZread's greed and was a more recent policy. Copyright claimed videos, however, CAN have ads _completely_ turned off by the will of the copyright holder, which is not a privilege individual KZread creators have as far as I know.

Arin mentioning watching Power Rangers fight footage when he was having a depressive episode actually connected with me really hard, funny enough. Last summer I was working a job that did horrible damage to my mental health and stress levels, and I would get through the day by watching the original Power Rangers for the first time while I worked (it was paperwork so I could multitask). I even specifically remember watching the green ranger five-parter during that time (the episodes this game uses for footage) Anyway, all this is to say that if you guys ever decided to play more Power Rangers games, I would be 1000% behind it all the way

Same. In the run up to the newer movie, that Twitch marathon was like a warm blanket when I was losing my mind, living in a crummy closet for $500 a month. I was never a huge fan, maybe like a year or two too old, but it was interesting seeing all the shows in a huge binge session. RPM was _surprisingly_ good.

For anyone curious on the names of the monsters and zords Arin was trying to think of, here's an Arin fanboy to Power Ranger translation: "long-necked carrier ultrasaurs" = Titanus, the Carrier Zord "blue guy with the spyglass minion" = Baboo (often paired with Squat, the light-blue pudgy one) And for Dan who wanted to know who the voice actors were for Rita and Goldar, here ya go: Barbara Goodson is the English V.O. for Rita Repulsa (heard her in person at Power Morphicon back around 2017, and she could still scream like that, it was awesome!) Kerrigan Mahan is the English V.O. for Goldar (also an awesome guy who can still pull off the voice)

My older brother passed away on Boxing Day last year, we grew up watching Power Rangers and had a good few of the toys as well as the ranger helmet slippers. Power Rangers means a lot to me as it reminds me of childhood with my brother, glad you guys are playing this game, brought back some good memories.

"Together we form... Christmas!" There actually IS a Christmas Ranger in Japan. In Gokaiger, the Red Ranger uses past series' powers to become a Ranger that's half-red, half-green, explicitly for the Christmas episode. Also, the finale to Power Rangers Zeo actually DID have the Rangers themselves grow big instead of using their Zords. Another trivia bit: Tommy and Kimberly kissed in Season 3. Power Rangers would not feature another on-screen kiss until Dino Fury Season 2, almost 30 years later.

I'm not entirely sure the infinite continues would help if completing the levels entirely is too difficult.

The fact that I still remember the little sword flute ditty that Tommy plays to summon the dragon-zord this many years later demonstrates both the power of simple musical ditties and also the power of the Power Rangers.

Arin's happiness during this series is almost unmatched, which is why I love this playthrough...

Fun fact. Scorpina was Goldar's wife in the original Japanese release. He was A mute king. Also, the green ranger was the strongest of the sentai rangers that season, though red was still my favorite personally. You can watch the entire Japanese series on here. The plot was better written in many aspects, as well as many of the fight scenes having more fluid coreography due to the lack of editing and compiling footage.

Despite initially being unable to speak, he was still capable of driving command to his soldiers with his vicious personality. That's what a Google search pulled up,it's nice to think he'd save his voice for his wife

@LotusSakura-vl1xm yeah that's pretty cool and all, but when watching the series in episode 19, Lamy, aka Scorpina, clearly states that Bandora is not allowing him to speak. So that's a pretty neat theory and good for google. Perhaps the subtitles are incorrect, but then it's kind of a full storyline involved in scorpina getting his voice back. It's like in the show itself, so not something that was looked up on Google to reference the show. You just have to watch the show. The answer is like right there when you watch it.

The Green Ranger becoming a good guy after he shook hands with the Red Ranger was the best green and red themed Christmas miracle for Arin since he rescued everyone that was trapped inside that burning down fire escape making factory by breaking a window since said fire escape factory didn't actually have its own fire escape.

I love Arin's connection with Power Rangers. It was a huge part of my childhood. I even had the fighting game for my Genesis(which was my first console) and my little brother and I would play it all the time.
