Being a Somalian it warms my heart when other people try our food. It feels like we are a hidden gem in the international cuisine. Since being in the horn we have influences from different corners of the world. We have Asian, Arab, African flavours all combined with our own dishes. Hope you get more oppertunities to try more of our food and deserts. Well done video. Edit: Im seeing you guys visiting a second restaurant and trying other dishes hahaha you guys are awesome.

By the way Somalis don't eat smelly woolly fur lamb others eat, they usually eat goat meat hence why no strong aroma smell. Somali food is a balance of East and West taste buds

Lamb is a good starting point for them I think. They did well.

It’s hard to use hands if you are not used to it. Also, Somali Restaurants give big portions, I don’t know why they gave you small portian

Lol, i was laughing seeing how you were strugling to eat the rice with hands, you could have asked for a spoon or fork (whatever you prefer) really and they would gave it to you :)

I was fat when I went out of the house because my Somalilander mam cooks amazingly and literally nothing tast as good as Somalians ans Somalilanders food. I lost a lot of weight because I was eating non Somali food for a while. Yeah the food was definitely not tasty as the Somalilanders food. Then I went back home for few months and I gained so much because I at a lot 😂😂😂😂. The food is healthy tho but because I like it too much I over at most of the time. Not a good idea 😂😅

No such thing as Somalian please correct our name, we are Somali people from Somalia who speak the Somali language !

@@itsbillyandjing Indian food and Somali food are totally different! Indian food is not even dominated by meat! Somali food dominated by meat because it has the largest lifestock in African and the middle East. Yes both nations traded spices, but the food is different sometimes similarities exist
