We tried Vintage Tupperware from eBay!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

You’re in luck this week folks as I’ve got a Tupperware expert joining me on the video today, that’s right, it’s my mum! One of my Patreons sent me a link to this vintage Tupperware set for just £20 on eBay and to be honest, I was a little bit scared of it - it came complete with what we think are salt & pepper shakers, a butter dish, an omelette maker, a mystery gadget and a few cobwebs, all for that bargain price! So stick around to watch the video as we figure out what all these different Tupperware gadgets do, it’s definitely worth waiting for the orange one I’m holding up in the thumbnail, I promise!
Check out a few more modern gadgets in this playlist: • Kitchen Gadget Testing...
And as I mentioned last time, I’m in the middle of refreshing my Patreon tiers so that everyone at any level gets a WHOLE lot more content. If you’ve been thinking about joining to help support me and the channel, or you just want a bit of extra Barry content (...a lot actually, PVC gets about 2 hours more video than everyone else does every single week!), you can check out my Patreon here: / mrbarrylewis

The pink lidded container of mini tools is also a butter dish and you can deodorize your tupperware by soaking in it in a white vinegar and water solution. I have tupperware that my mother bought in the 1960's and it still works perfectly well. My biggest problem with durability was carelessness by my family.

I sold Tupperware in the early 90s. Loved it! Since I’m not terribly extroverted around adults (I’m an elementary teacher now), I only sold until my core group of friends & family and I bought all we needed/wanted. I’ve often thought when I see you mixing large amounts of flour that you REALLY need to get your hands on a Thatsa-Bowl (now called a Thatsa Large Bowl) 32 cup bowl. I see there’s now a Thatsa Mega Bowl which is 42 cups😮. I have the 32 cup one, as well as the TB Jr along with numerous other pieces, and I’d still be using them if they weren’t in storage along with my other belongings we saved after hurricane Laura destroyed our house. My tendency to get wordy has surfaced again. In short: Sold it. Used it. Love it.

Resealable plastic tubs, and virtually indestructible kitchen gubbins, manufactured and marketed by a Mr Tupper. When I was a kid, in the mid 1960's, this was the future - it was space age tech. Everyone had it, and it went perfectly with the fridge, and, in about 1968, dad aquired a Walls ice cream freezer from somewhere, (mum never asked, as home freezers were a rarity, then) and Tupperware was perfect for that. They made good drums, too... 😆😆😆 Good to see your mum back, too. I still cannot watch that sausage making video you both made, without crying with laughter - the level of innuendo and smutty gags, is on a Frankie Howerd level of genius. 😆😆😆

In the 70'and 80's i grew up with Tupperware party's. At an older age, when i had small kids i gave party's at people's houses. But some little tips, you can soak tupperware in soda, but when its really dirty, trow in a teaspoon of bleach en then was it good. Official you loose guarantee (not the case i guess now) if you put them in the dishwasher they qlso get a good clean. Further the ones you used for the egg and sieve part were used as a party gift , loads of people collected them. The sieve i still use in my kitchen for flued stuff, when a teabag explodes or when i make fresh orange juice. Finally i enjoyed watching as always.

I grew up with Tupperware and went to a party some years back. They are clever designs and self contained. For a portable soup and salad bowls. Utensils popped into the lid, the soup one had a vent button and the salad one had a separate dressing container that popped into the lid.

I had tupperware parties and sold it. I sold it to earn the things that I wanted without spending any money. Love still and wish I could afford it now. Crazy prices. That smell is the plastic not being used and stored.

I did, both going to a party and helt a party. Back then it was a very good thing to do and the products I use now after 35 years are in a good condition.

Have absolutely been to and had Tupperware parties. My fav one is probably my microwave pasta cooker. It’s long enough to fit full length pasta and the lid is the strainer. Simple but so useful!

I've been subscribed to you for years. I was there at the beginning, a few 1000 subs. I've spent years watching and waiting quietly. Tonight, watching your mum blow an egg, made it all worth it.

I've been to a few Tupperware parties over the years and still have and use it. I inherited some Tupperware from my late Auntie. It is the tall, circular container with the sealing lid and sealable pour spout. We keep sugar in there until it's needed to fill the metal sugar canister. Even though that one is early 60s vintage, it goes through the dishwasher no problem. I have a serving dish that keeps veg warm. That usually gets used at Christmas. It works really well. I also remember the biscuit containers from the 70s which were usually orange or yellow depending on the size. You put the lid on and pushed down the centre which sealed your biscuits and stopped them going soft. Can't remember the last time I heard of anyone having a Tupperware party.

Grew up with Tupperware in the 80s.. loads of it. I had a Tupperware party ( early 90s) still got som bits ..Travel/picnic salt n pepper pot and travel vinegar shaker , a very useful stacking multi gadget ( basically a mini jug with interchangeable tops for grating, egg separator, a pouring lid and a lemon squeezer. Even some kids toys which were super strong, had more stuff but gradually gave them away over time.

Salt and pepper shakers with lids for picnics. And the plates and cups for children. Mom loved the small cup sized containers for leftovers. I liked the large covered bowl for making bread in.

My Mom was a Tupperware dealer when we were growing up. She had tons of it in the garage on tall shelves my Dad made and my brother had nightmares of going out there to get something and being buried alive in Tupperware!!

My mom sold Tupperware when I was a kid. I got drug to everyone of her party's. I was made to set up her display. To top it off I had to help the person who booked the party serve their food and drinks. I also had to run back and forth to the car to bring in product that people bought. Believe me I absolutely hated it. My wife and I were given a bunch of Tupperware for a wedding gift from someone in her family. It quickly got lost or forgotten about at work. Great video today. Glad to see your mother again in a video. You need to get her and Mrs. B in a internet hack video. Have a great day.

I love Tupperware! My mom bought my first in the 90’s. I have never been to a party but have bought a lot off line. My favorite Tupperware pieces are the mixing bowls and measuring spoons and cups.

I remember my mum having some round orange cannisters with zig zag pattern lids. She used those lids to pour melted chocolate in and make fans to put on ice cream.
