As mentioned by many others, there is a reason the Black Chicken is synonymous with the name Soup Chicken. My Chinese mother always made soups out of these chickens. It certainly makes an unique broth and the flesh falls straight off the bone. Its much tastier to eat than regular chicken when prepared in this way. Try a soup recipe next time! You might like it more than you'd imagine

Black chicken is really traditional for the Hmong people. We usually use it for the wives during the first month after going through pregnancy or for our special guests to pack for lunch while making their way back home after a visit! We would love to see you try the black chicken in soup form, mostly Hmong style chicken soup!

Don’t call chickens “it” or say they aren’t rare and treat chickens like they are property or just made for food. Don’t sell chickens it is wrong they are living beings and they feel fear and get pregnant like us it is evil and wrong. You will be judged by animals it says in the Bible from the book of Enoch animals will judge people who treat them poorly. RIDING HORSES SHOULD BE ILLEGAL DONT RIDE HORSES IT HURTS THEIR BACK AND THEY ARE NOT GIVING YOU CONSENT TO RIDE THEM. It is wrong!!!!! Animals are not property they are people. Stop riding horses god and Mary told me it’s a sin to ride horses also god told me you need to stop squishing bugs it’s evil and it’s murder. Jesus took me to hell and told me being gay and trans isn’t a sin. Please don’t mastur.bate or have se.x because your putting fluids on small living microorganisms animals.

This is called Kadaknath in India, it's native to the regions of Bastar in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar in the Tribal Areas. Kadak (Kaa Rhak) refers to 3 things, 1. The sound of the rooster, 2. The flavour profile as it is mostly deep fried and crispy, 3. It's use in "curry" or Kadhi from those areas and regions, and Nath (means Lord) so Kadaknath or black country chicken is quite popular in rural tribal regions in India. You need to explore cooking it like you would cook Lamb or Mutton or Pork. It needs a consistent seer and lots of sauteing. Preferably over an open wood fire, copper pot and traditional mustard oil from India. I'm not sure it can be Sous Vide!!!! Great channel, Regards, Bawa Revant Singh.

Hi Guga! As a Chinese growing up eating this from time to time, here are some dishes the black chicken are good in (my top 2): 3 cups chicken and sibut soup. 3 cups chicken is quite popular and actually easy to make. It only consist of: soy sauce, dark soy sauce (optional), rice wine, sesame oil, a lot of garlic, ginger and basil (and the chicken of course haha). Why it's called 3 cups is because the 3 main ingredients are soy sauce, rice wine and sesame oil - tho they are not really 1 cup each of course, because 1 cup of sesame oil is like too much. even 1 cup of soy sauce is too much for a single chicken haha. It's probably because 3 cups sounds catchy and it easily highlights the 3 main ingredients. You can check out some recipes in youtube. Note that most of the recipes here in YT use ordinary white chicken, so if you use black chicken instead, just cook it a bit longer since the black one's meat is tougher (but tastier). This really goes well with rice. And of course, if you do find this delicious and crave, you won't always have black chicken. So of course, ordinary chicken is still great! Sibut soup is kinda "medicinal: because it involves a lot of herbs, roots and some dried fruit. So this might be an acquired taste. It's a bit bitter but at the same time savory. But some people might not like the "medicine-like" taste because of the roots used. But I love this a lot! I hope you try these, Guga. :)

@Guga - you know its called Soup chicken, so you really should do it justice and cook it in a soup. Silkie is actually my favourite chicken dish growing up. Do NOT try to crispy up that skin just cook it in broth and make it into a soup - look for some Chinese recipes. It's so good as a soup - the meat falls off the bones and the skin is extra fatty and melts in your mouth when cooked in a soup. Also it goes extremely well with rice. This video was disappointing to watch to see it get cooked so wrong. You are going to make Uncle Roger cry.

When my son was 9-12 months old, Japanese purple potato and sweet purple potato was what he loved. Easy to cook and easy to mash up and feed my son.

In my country, we like to cook that purple sweet potatoes in steam and its just wonderful. In fact, in my country again, we have 3 kinds of sweet potatoes, the first one is the yellow one, the second is the purple, and the third is red skinny one. You should try the red skinny sweet potatoes Guga.

Silkie chicken's soup is a very healing soup. In Taiwan, women after birth would drink the soup and heal well much faster. Have to cook it with ginger, goji berries, jujube, shitake mushroom and the soup tastes phenomenal!

Guga, I grew up eating this type of chicken cooked in soup. It’s interesting to see you eating it in roasted chicken style 😅

For a future video, put the sous vide up against a pressure cooker (like the instant pot) to see which cooking method keeps steak juicier.

In Malaysia, the silkie chicken costs a bit more than the normal chickens, but its usually used for soup dishes instead of grilling it (we never had dishes of grilled silkie chicken before!) Surprised that it appeared on this channel tho, hope you enjoyed it and you can use it for your own chicken broths in the future for the EXTRA flavourful punch!

The black chicken is called ayam cemani in Indonesia. It is more expensive than regular chicken. We usually use it for some kind of ceremonies. Even the blood is black. The purple potato... It is a lot here. It's sweet. We can just bake or boil it. Taste almost like honey potato.
