@@caroline-pm4mo nor am i, i just watch bob ross a lot and he's explained it in some episodes. the entire method that bob ross uses only works because of liquid white, or 'magic white', as he used to call it in earlier episodes. the liquid white lets you blend colors on the canvas.

@@beccakern3601 Don't worry, I totally get what you're trying to say but the thing is that talent mostly affects your learning speed and process. Since painting is a skill and not something you're born with it takes effort to get good at it, no matter how slow or fast you are at learning how to do it better, so it's not good to fixate on being talented or not with it ;) Projects can come out horribly for talented people too, it's how we all learn to do it better next time.

Dancingsushi911 liquid white doesn’t dry (or takes a lot longer to) because it’s oil based and has a lot higher ratio of oil to the actual pigment so putting it down on the canvas before you apply any of the other paints allows it to blend any of the other paints you put on top of it because the canvas is wet from the liquid white.
