We Touched a Deadly Tree to Debunk a Myth
Ойын-сауық
The Legend of the Dutch Silk Cotton Tree of Mahaicony
There is an ancient tree in Guyana that legend claims is so haunted, nobody will cut it down out of fear of becoming its next victim. The fear was so palpable that when it came time to build a major thoroughfare through the area, instead of cutting it down, the workmen diverted the road around the tree. Despite the efforts taken to appease it, deaths and severe injuries still regularly occur. In this episode, we went down to Perserverance, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara to separate the truth from the legend.

"Touch it" with intent to cut it down. The only way to really debunk it is to cut it down.

LMAO! I'm sure this will upset couple people.
I have a silk Cotton tree right by my apartment and and ever since I took a picture of orbs I've been haunted ever since and symbols and strange writing appear and disappear on my body. I've been dealing with this for three years and I've had pastors over and everything and it just won't stop, I don't know if it is obeah witchcraft or a haunting or both

I always wanted to know if that legend is true but apparently it's not true. First I thought I am seeing a story video which seems interesting but it's a legend from Guyana 😊 Maybe you can create a story with this tree 😊

One thing I hate about Guyana is all these doctrines and dogma surrounding things... The day guyanese prefer to use logic instead of magic to explain things will be a collective win. Havent seen this tree since I was 4... Thank you for affording me the opportunity again.

Why should anyone cut it?
if it's not being cut due to fear of it being haunted, isn't making a video debunking the haunting ultimately helping aid in it's demise?
