WE TOOK A TRAIN TO THE GRAND CANYON!

Watch as we visit the Grand Canyon in an incredible way via the Grand Canyon Railroad! We started in William, AZ and made our way to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. What an incredibly fun trip. While we were there we found an earthcache, completed an Adventure Lab series, and played Munzee!

When I was in my early 20s, I drove cross-country in my van. Back then, you bought a cargo van with nothing in it except the driver's seat, and you yourself converted it into a camper. Back in the 70s, you navigated the roadways with maps and a AAA Triptik. That's how I traversed the nation. When I got to the Grand Canyon, I had the same exact reaction that everyone else did. And that was, that it didn't look real. It looked like a giant painting. It was awe-inspiring. All these years later, the memory of it is still fresh in my mind.🦀

The idea of an empty van to build out and travel…. Now that’s heaven

@@TheAussieGeocacherSeemyshell It was pretty cool. Google 1976 Ford Econoline 100 cargo van and you'll get an idea of the size and boxiness of it. Here's the part that will blow your mind. I bought it new and it only cost $4,100. Those were the days. 🦀

The Grand Canyon has to be seen to be understood, what an incredible place. Great video! I'll have to try the train if I ever get back down there.

The train ride to the Grand Canyon was one of the things that I wished I had done now that I look back at the entire trip. I did make it to the Grand Canyon, but I wished I had taken the train for a different kind of experience. Looked like fun!

What a fantastic ride in that train and a great video of this day trip. I can't believe that this was your 1st time at the Grand Canyon. It is an amazing place, you can't even see 10% of the beauty of it on video

Kudos! Well done. Question here so at about 2:17 is some B-roll aerial footage of the canyon landscape. What was your source as been told flying drones in NP is verboten? Thanks in advance & keep on caching!
