We test Harbor Freight's new lights - Check out the RoadShock Edge LEDs!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The Mexican Desert destroyed our light bar at the Baja 1000, so we are going to test Harbor Freight's all new RoadShock Edge off road lights. First impression...These may be the best lights I have put on a race truck for any price, but we are going to test them. We will put these lights through race conditions at the Mint 400 in March and let you know how they do. My guess is that you will be as impressed as I am with the quality.
Links for the Lights will be here when they hit the store soon.

These lights are amazing. I have a feeling they will be tough to keep on the shelves this spring.
NTD does it right. Extremely competent folks that only use the best. Love me some Harbor Freight
Let's see how they last on the course. Looking forward to an update.
Top fabrication matey 👌
Love the look of the lights on the truck, new light bars are sweet! When you keep clicking on the lights at the end I can’t believe how far left and right gets lit up….gonna be super helpful on the course at night
Those are awesome! I need to get these for my Jeep
That’s gonna be awesome to see on the course. Turn night into day!
Nice lights and I like the way you mounted them.
Those are fancy! I might need some for my Jeep.
Looks awesome - Light it up!
Awesome lights .
Looks awesome!!!
Looks like the right addition to the truck!
Great video!
Great lights! Thanks Harbor Freight. We’ll give them the durability test in Vegas.

Would love to hear how you like the light bar.
Love it!
Nice design and layout. Those are really bright. Would like to see a couple with the Amber lens on too.
Stoping at my near store tomorrow and getting those nice lights

I will be interested to see if they are in stock. My guess is that they will be tough to keep on the shelves. Thanks for watching.

Me too. Tough to keep racing, but so cool.
Bright!!!
If the switch is a Carling or copy of, you could use a VCH-01 connector. That will hold all the wires together. You would lose the covers over the spade connectors. Hope on the second production run HF will add red as the back color.
Siiiick
from what I've seen these roadshock edge lights are totally a winner, I expect to see them on a lot of vehicles. They absolutely nailed smooth even lighting, feels more usable than some comparable brands which have a tendency towards hotspots. speaking on lighting, Traveler Lighting (Tractor supply Co brand), on their premium light offerings they put the Led on the top side of the housing pointing down and use big scoop reflector to project it outwards. This creates a unique look and lighting pattern that I quite enjoy. not only does it have a good look, it's discreet, so if you don't want to draw as much attention. I'd about have to compare the similarities to the blackout driving lights on military jeeps, although there's certainly a massive difference in light output, they both illuminate as much as you want without drawing too much attention. for example their older combo spot flood bar, the top of the light pattern is a solid flat cutoff, so you can set it to illuminate exactly as high as you want without going above and it disperses out gradually toward the bottom.
These are actually really nice, high quality lights. I bought the very first set of LED6's at my local store. The staff didn't even know they existed until i showed them the listing on my phone from their new product showcase. they had to dig thru a pallet of new deliveries just to see them for the first time. The Baja Design lights are OVER 3x more ($980 plus tax vs HF. $149 each/$300/set) but the side by side output is negligible...However, the HF side shooter lights are 10x better & give a significantly better peripheral illumination. we all know these are listed as Off road use only... but we also know many people who live in rural areas will buy these to watch for Deer or other wildlife jumping out in front & the super bright side shooters really light up the ditches well... each light is hefty, it's like over 4lbs per light... nice finish, heavy heat sinks, hefty mounting bracket, nice waterproof wiring plug, easy to swap lights if one gets damaged. some brands are hardwired into the aluminum housing so if one gets damaged, it's more work to swap out wiring connections. HF really knocked it outta the park with these...

❤ Harbor Freight
Our Trail Buggy could use some🙌🏻
All right, all right. I spent too much money on the LP4’s for the wife’s Bronco. Do you have any idea when Harbor freight is going to release the 6 inch model? I rushed to the harbor freight website only to find the 3 inch models. By the way, I don’t have a clue how they could release a lens module, almost identical to Baja Designs.

It’s china they steal everyone’s designs they’re not bind by patent designs.
do you have to turn off the low beam mode to turn on the high beam mode? I know baja lp series said it will hurt the light if both are on at the same time (when you are doing your own wiring that is a problem to consider)

HF manual says that you should not power both pins as it will "damage the circuit board". Sounds like it's same as Baja.
What are the power specs?
Well, odd I watched his video 2 days after the Mint, so how did you do?

Working on a video. Got second in class. Huge for our team.
Nice lights. I bought a pair of sixes. Just wondering how many home workshops have this kind of fabrication equipment?

Agree…but almost everything I did could be done with an angle grinder except the tub rolling.

Way back when. Harbor freight use to sell makita power tools. They just went through their Chicago electric phase for a bit and was hard to comeback from. But I think they are making honest efforts. They got good warranty on all the hand tools.

Harbor Freight never sold Makita power tools.
I'm genuinely curious if anyone knows if these lights can be mounted in a "suspended" orientation? By that I mean can the bracket be removed and mounted "above" the light itself? I really don't want to mount the entire light itself upside down, not just for aesthetics but in case the reflectors are specifically manufactured to have directional cutoff with respect to horizontal. So, short question, are these mounting brackets able to mount 180 degrees from the way they ship out? Thank you...

Just checked them out. You could reverse the mount and suspend the light from above. You do not have to mount the light upside down. Hope this helps.
The 3" is on the website but I can't find the 6".

They ain’t out yet.
Id rather have torx screws, harder to steal because most thieves dont carry a torx. Had a set of rigids stolen on my raptor when i was deployed, after that, i went to torx.
Should have done a master light switch so they all turn on at one switch

Thought about that, but decided to separate them out. We only run as many lights as we need at a time to keep the power draw down. We usually run the nose light bar and use the overhead for a backup if the nose fails or gets damaged.
Hey, did you hear that White Rock was voted Happiest Small Town in America?
Why did you not wire them in series?
