I’m a 44 year old ex-skater and none of my friends speak this language. I still find myself peeping spots, ledges, rails etc., but when I watch The Nine Club I feel like part of an extended family and I relive moments of my life in the excitement you guys have for skating. You guys reach people in more ways than you know. Thank you guys for all that you do.

Crazy I remember seeing this kid(well man now) and being like he's ok, then a year later he was 3fliping 11 stairs, hitting rails and doing these sick lines. Then another year later he's doing tours and all over the place, now 10+ years later look at him. Glad someone actually made out of that small town, it had some great skaters but he pushed through!!

Yellow things in front of the triple set are called truncated domes. They're for the visually impaired and work well for skate stoppers. Luckily skaters have outsmarted the skate stop technology. I was a construction superintendent for years and used to have to install those damn things. It hurt my heart every time we had to put them in. Once a skater, always a skater.

as a big guy, i've been rocking LRG for the past 15 or so years. theyre still around, but they don't have a skate division really. they still sponsor some cats, but they're far too casual about it. John Sawyer (freestyle cat) is the only dude i know sk8n for them rn

Not boarded up from COVID. All the stores on that side of the shopping mall closed years ago. It’s just a dead mall. On the other end of the parking lot there’s a lot of still open businesses and lots of foot traffic, these ledges are on the abandoned side. There’s a security guard that’s always making his rounds but as long as you stay on the abandoned side he won’t kick you out. And those boarded up windows are from the riots, not COVID.

Nah. Not actually even boarded up from riots or Covid. That’s the old Macy’s and they boarded it up after it closed. The spot known as Macy’s Ledges or simply Country Club. My friend and I were the first to wax the taller ledges/benches.

I have the same problem. Broke the middle part of my foot after really unluckily stepping away from the board when I had a wheelbite. I did countless nollies etc but this was such a simple thing to go wrong that it's really hard to get back on the board after all that trouble. With the covid situation a hospital is quite scary and I don't want to have that again
