We stayed in a world-class anchorage (Benjamin Islands)
The North Channel in Canada has the most beautiful and remote anchorages we've ever seen. Today we cruise from Kagawong where we check out the famous Boater's Church and have a short cruise to the Benjamin Islands. The Benjamins are a formation of islands in the Canadian Shield. Famous for the pink granite, this rock is billions of years old! We spend the day exploring the Benjamins showing why this is truly and incredible anchorage.
Thanks for watching!
Cheers from the Loop,
Jennifer and Elliot

ABOUT US
Hi! We are high school sweethearts from Atlanta, Georgia who decided to take a year off to travel around the world. Together we decided to create vlogs for our journey as a fun way to remember it. On September 15, 2019, we left Atlanta with 3 bags, 2 one-way tickets, and 1 goal of traveling for a whole year. Little did we know, 6 months later we would find ourselves in a nationwide lockdown in India. After spending 5 months in India, we came back to the United States and decided to purchase a 34’ Trawler, dive headfirst into boat life, and kick-off America’s Great Loop.
The good, the bad, the ugly - and most importantly, the real and real funny. We’re not here to tell you “how it’s done.”, just how we’ve done it. And that whatever it is that’s calling you - the way you’ll do it is much more attainable than it may seem.
Thank you for following us along our journey!

Ollie could have just moved that rock for you 😊7:52. That anchorage looked amazing. Have a great weekend!
Another beautiful episode, guys. Ollie seems to love swimming with his life jacket. I think he knows he won't sink, even if he gets tired. Smart dog. 🎉🎉🎉 See you next time. ✨ 🌊 💨 🛥️🌞
We’re all about the Benjamin’s baby! 😍 What a beautiful area! Loved the Ollie cam 🎉
Spent a few night anchored there in July 21. Always fun at the Benjamin’s. can be super packed on weekends. Glad you got to experience it.

No doubt!
Wow what a beautiful anchorage. I've really enjoyed watching all your vlogs through the areas of Georgian Bay I've never travelled. We used to have a family cottage off the Severn System between Severn Falls and Pt. Severn but never made it out into The Bay. Definitely on my bucket list now! So happy that you enjoyed this portion your Loop experience.

I've never been up the river from the Bay, though I've spent years on Severn Sound. I grew up further along the system, around Lakefield and the Kawarthas, and I live on Simcoe now. Howdy, almost neighbor. The North Channel is legend to me, and I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying it. I kinda wish I hadn't given them a lecture on the Canadian Shield and granite the other day, though.
Great food again 😊

Such a beautiful anchorage! It looks like you three all had fun paddle boarding…how fun and in such a gorgeous area! It’s so nice that you have other loopers to hang out with. Looking forward to your next video!
Ah! The mouse! We had to go back and rewatch to make sure we were seeing what we thought we were seeing! :) Hope Jen's knee is okay.Ollie-cam is the best! :)

Haha yes... not sure if we filmed it at all, but we did remove the log from the fire right after that clip and ensured the mouse had its great escape! It escaped to live another day!
You guys are so fun!! I think Elliot means “taut” not “taunt”😂😂. We are making notes of all your anchorages for our trip. Thank you for sharing!

Yep, technically it is part of Lake Huron!
How do you stern tie so that some other boat does not run over your stern line?
@vink99
Жыл бұрын
The line are usually run to shore so the water isnt super deep and its where boats wont be running.
Did the mouse make it? 😮
@SchoandJo
Жыл бұрын
Yes! There was a clip of the little buddy scurrying away, but it was a short clip because the mouse was fast! It wasn’t pictured but I did move the tree out of the fire right after so the mouse would have time to leave, it’s why the log was horizontal and then was vertical afterwards 🙏🙏

Curious, what's Ollie's teeth like after all the rocks?
@SchoandJo

Good! It was only a short summer so we’ll see what her vet thinks as we take her on our yearly checkup soon 😁
Wait - your boat is 20,000 pounds, not 20 tons (40,000lbs). (Sorry) Y’all always make me miss our Marine Trader and lucky Lehman. (As I learn the ways of the perky Perkinseses) 😊
