    I don’t know, man. $75k cab & chassis. Plus $100k maximum for the “box” on the back. It’s not some new technological marvel. Hundreds of these are built by different companies every day.

    Wow, what a great video Matt and Kara. Thank you for visiting Global X and taking our truck out. We truly appreciate the effort you put forth to present an honest option on this type of overland travel. My wife and I are close to retirement, own a well equipped gladiator with a Super Pacific canopy camper and have been on a lot of the trails you have on your patron channel. For Arkansas and Missouri, the Gladiator is the perfect. We are planning a 2-3 year full time trip to explore the Canadian Rockies, Alaska, Baja, and Maybe even South America. The essence of overlanding is vehicle based travel over long distances to experience multiple types of topography and cultures. I cant imagine having a better home base for such an adventure. Considering the camera gear will bring and the need for 4 seasons of clothing, the extended time and distance of off grid travel, this type of Rig is ideal, Can it go where my Gladiator Can, heck no. But my intent for off roading on a long distance trip is to take my wife and I to the most beautiful locations for dispersed camping, photography, and enjoyment of the outdoors. This Rig can do all of that and more while remaining comfortable, which ultimate leads to a longer trip with greater experiences. Thanks again, we love you guys and will see you on the trails.

    Hey Matt, this may be too complicated of a question, but do you think a stock Subaru outback could make it pretty easily from Lake City to Ouray via the alpine loop? I know you've driven that a few times from your videos. Blue Mesa Bridge is out near Gunnison and we have a trip later this year where we were going to go from lake city up to black canyon national parks and then down to Ouray. But with the bridge out we are looking for alternate routes if needed and think that would be fun if doable. Thanks for any help and if you know the best way to navigate that crossing if you think it's doable I'd greatly appreciate the advice. Thanks

Ford F450 chassis with a godzilla 7.3 V8 regular fuel engine , liquid springs etc etc ( the rest kinda like EFRT has ) . my opinion, but i have no idea what your plans are, if expedition or still tight trails -rock crawling like y'all been doing ( i just don't like diesel with the DPF-def stuff )

  • @dtadventure4x4
    @dtadventure4x42 ай бұрын

    Well, this is a tough one. Let's leave the price outside for now. The rig is very capable to go places, but also too big to go to other places. I think it is great from a tiny home on wheels perspective. If this would work with my budget and plans, I would definitely consider it. I come from a Ford F250 platform and a Supertramp camper. I sold it and now have a Rossmonster Baja on order. The GXV looks like it is a great build, but the price and overall height is what drew me into the Rossmonster Baja world. The GXV looks great, but how many of those are ever going to be built? The RAM platform is also a turnoff for me. I will never ever buy a Chrysler or Stellantis vehicle again. These things start falling apart the moment the warranty is up. The market for these rigs is getting crowded quickly. Not sure if Storyteller Overland will be able to keep up with the customer demands ...

    I stated the purpose of it very clearly in the video. 🤦🏼‍♂️ It’s for people traveling far more than most for months at a time or longer. Of course it won’t get everywhere a Gladiator will but did you not see the ground clearance on it? It will get a lot more places an RV or Sprinter van will. I feel like you didn’t watch the video and just came here to make a dumb comment. 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

    I think 350k is more reasonable. 450 seems high for what it is. When I first saw the outside I thought ok I can see 450. When I saw the inside I was a bit disappointed. It looks nice on the inside but the materials don’t seem great and you don’t get a lot for your money. For 450k there shouldn’t be an ounce of wood or MDF. My 40k 15ft trailer has no wood. All aluminum including cabinets. This is probably 3-4x the livable size of my trailer. My trailer also has 460ah of battery. This has 900ish? Maybe all the money went into the truck portion. I could see this truck base being 110 if not more with no offroad mods. With mods maybe another 30k. So that means the rv portion is 300k? No way.

    It looks like they hired the interior guy that designed the insides of all the Coleman campers. All mdf cabinetry. The walls appear to be laminate or stick on vinyl…where’s the soft touch material or painted aluminum? The wall just below the bed is something you’d see in an airport lounge. If there is aluminum underneath why would they cover it with subpar materials?…they wouldn’t which leads me to believe the substructure is wood dressed with airport facade. The cabinets in the bathroom don’t even match. And who puts wood INSIDE a shower? I get it it’s teak or whatever. It doesn’t look right.
