Music is a variety from Xenoblade Chronicles 1&2.
To join my Minecraft server, head to my Twitch channel and type !server for the login information. You must be subscribed on Twitch to join, and have a Discord account. This is so we can moderate and manage the server due to demand. The server is open 24/7 and has a survival world, as well as a museum of every past build we've done on the channel.
New Earth Build Rules:
-No obnoxious floating text. No obnoxiously tall buildings.
-Respect the coastline and borders. Islands, continents and countries should retain their shape.
-Build the best you can. Low effort and unfinished constructions will be removed.
-Your building cannot just be a flag.
-No contemporary politics.
-No depictions of war, recent mass tragedy, racism or discrimination or hate symbols of any kind.
-Railways must be at ground level. Railways in the air are considered low effort and too tall. We recommend an underground metro instead.
-No pixel art. We find that this obscures other builds, and we plan to provide a space later.
Special thanks to Nitrous Networks for hosting our Minecraft server. See their site for quality server hosting across a variety of games: nitrous-networks.com/

To be fair you have to be part of the discord to get into the server, and the discord is generally more chill than Twitch chat. It's one of those cases where a relatively minor barrier to doing something makes for a more peaceful community, and considering this community is usually pretty good if rather chaotic it's actually rather calm(also as pointed out by another person further down you have to pay a little bit of money as a twitch subscription to get the discord role that lets you into the Minecraft world alas as a terminally poor person I can't access the server)

I recently looked back on the world map, and remembered how I took part in this! I built the Pharmacy my dad worked at on the server, and was absolutely delighted to see it still standing in the world map! We were all a bit scared back at home when I took the time to build it. He was had Covid at a time not many people really knew about it, and I built it there to make sure to immortalize it. We all pulled through soon after and didn't pay much mind to it. Two years later, it turns out that my dad's pharmacy is being sold and is shutting down after Christmas. I looked back onto the server map and was completely surprised to see it was still standing! I'm now forever glad it could be immortalized on that server, even if the real deal closed down. You can even still see it at (-2966, 990), tucked in between two larger builds!

The classical music made with note blocks was astonishing. Perfect example of how programing mechanics meet the sort of music that makes people leap up and cry - that moment when computer/systems science becomes art. Bit corny to point out, but in the context of AI's learning to create and interpret abstract art it aptly demonstrates the part that's still 'missing'.

  • @KEVON13579

This is more true than u might realize; in addition to the normal mechanics used for song making, this song utilizes multiple types of redstone loops to different effects. One is an observer loop, which basically repeats sounds very quickly until it is cut off (can be heard at the start). The other type is a counter loop, which can activate a different redstone response based on how many times it has gone through a loop (can hear this in the last ten seconds, ish). Way more logically complicated than other noteblock builds, which usually just go from start to end in one logic path with no loops.

Hey RT, have you heard of a mod called "Distant Horizons"? It essentially lets you see way further in Minecraft, with a comparably low amount of CPU/RAM usage. You don't even have to install it on the server. It already works, if you only use it client-side (Just make sure the server doesn't kick you for using mods). Having a sinificantly higher Render Distance could be really cool for these types of large scale builds. You could probably see the Greenland-domes from Africa, maybe even from Australia if your PC can handle it. I think it could be worth using. You can find the mod on curseforge, if this made you curious.
