I think I have one of those lobophyllia corymbosa in my tank, granted not some cool pink/red version like you, mine seems a bit "plain" with a brown rim and orange center but got that from a tank teardown and it was all sorts of beat up with aiptasia growing on the side, bubble algae up the wazzoo the amount of surgery I had to do to get to something that I was willing to put in my tank was kind of scary. But I have a few individual polyps of it now so it's all good and it seems to be very happy in a lower light environment.

Hey Jake Adams nice channel really love what you do in the saltwater hobby. I’m a beginner in the reefing hobby and at the moment my tank is really struggling I am not good at keep corals so far lol I would really like to see if u would be willing to let me pay you for an over the phone/FaceTime consultation. Being that you are so far away from where I live. I need help with coral placement and also getting my parameters and lighting right suggestions on lighting schedules and flow I jus really need an experts help and coaching on some of the corals I have and maybe what you think I should be dosing and feeding so that my corals can really grow and thrive. I watch your channel all the time but I still need that push so lmk if we can arrange something like that I would really appreciate it thanks.

I thought you were going to show some cichlids lolol. I have 55g tank that I threw like 20mbunas into. My lfs before pandemic would have them at 3 for 10 and the best colors lolol. Loved it, I would try throwing in peacocks but they would die for the most part. Like I would try throwing in 4 but maybe 1 or 2 survive at best. Then it just looked so weird have 20 mbunas and 2-3 peacocks so I got rid of them. Man I’ve had the tank for years and one time I was really lazy (I went a year of just dumping food and no water changes) and when I mean dumping food I mean I would pour it in and I would tell myself (yooo that is wayyyyy too much) and at the end nothing happened to them. All are thriving, my biggest like around 5.5inches. The smallest being 2 inches, ever mbuna I own was bought when they were under 2inches. I’ve had mbunas spawn babies and everything

Hey Burt Reynolds 😃, did you get any emeralds and what do you think is the main reason they die within 6 months!!! Shell disease Jake?

short lifespan on emeralds or other crabs is likely due to starvation or some kind of toxic metal buildup

@@ReefBuildersVideo yep, that my lfs...I'm in Greeley....some days their colonies cost an arm and a leg...other days (the next day) super good prices. They also are going through an outbreak of bubble algae and aptisia in their frag tanks so I can't get larger colonies from there anymore. I'm getting a 100 gal. Delivered Monday and I'm looking for an lfs to get mid-larger colonies- who would you suggest in the Denver area that has healthy and fair priced colonies? Appreciate your guidance and dig your videos (new subscriber).
