Awesome review I just thought of something if you where to put your shoes in the shoe bags then put the bags in the roof to stop the windy flapping that could nail two things in one

Great video guys. They are a good tent. I’ve got the 1200 perfect for 1 but struggle with 2 of us. The two best things I ever done with my Drifta tent. I got a fitted sheet with the top sheet sewn together. A place in Brisbane makes them Drifted off. They do custom sheet sets for roof top tents. Also too I run a Ryobi compact fan clipped to the cross bar on the top as they have a clamp on them. I live in Cairns so ventilation is no1.

Thanks for a top honest review, love the east/west opening not turning around like a dog in a kennel with a normal rtt 🙂👍👍

Good review. The issues you have are easily remedied so it seems like a good option for a hard top. I have a Darche Panorama and I found the mattress was also inadequate. I got an exped duo and my wife and 6 year old can now sleep comfortably in it. Everybody has their own priorities for a tent, the important thing is to research the options and compare spec's and reviews.

I have the 1.2 for a few years. Yes you need to make some adjustments. I added a foam egg shell to the standard mattress. Also added some layers of builders foil under floor insulation under the mattresses. Yeah, agree it blows around a bit especially if you dont tention it up enoough. Condensation is not too bad in this one compared to some others on the market. Its a bit over priced but good weight in its categorie. I have re waterproofed it with some spray to help shed water too. Its great that you can mount to the shell and das the roof bars too. Overall im happy with mine.

I’ve had the 1.2 for over 2 years. I agree with the flapping … you can minimise it by making the spreader bar tight. I also use tarp clips with bungee cords to remove loose material. The new tent inserts are tighter apparently.

Hey guys, really loving your channel and how relatable you both are. Actually found you because we bought this tent and were looking for reviews but now I’m studying your tassie videos as we’re about to go ourselves. I just wanted to ask, how do you minimise condensation and what do you do if you have some internal condensation? Somedays if we can’t wait for it to dry we were thinking we would have to towel it off and take the bedding out. Just interested to know how you guys tackle it? Tysm loving the channel. Nat

Hey Nat, thank you so much for your kind words! So glad we have been able to help. Condensation hasn't been tooo much of an issue, we try to always keep as many windows as we can open to reduce as condensation. We have had quite a few mornings where we have had to pack away the tent wet from either dew or rain. We do normally towel down the roof as much as we can, but its really hard to avoid, so we just try to get the tent back up and open as soon as we can. Unfortunately, there is no easy answer haha
