Just want to add: really really good of you guys to drive to pick it up, bring it back, do the repairs and install the new parts. Many MANY wouldn't. They'd say "no warranty whatsoever"

@@Jack2421992 A reputable dealer would do the repairs even on a vehicle sold as is. As is doesn't excuse a vehicle breaking down on the way home. I think it's Michigan? that has a "condition of merchantability" law that even an as is vehicle needs to make it home in one piece. there was a HOnda dealer in my small town who sold a car to a co-worker's daughter. CERTIFIED but no warranty. The engine blew in the 2nd week. WHen they called the dealer said "no warranty". Well, after getting the lawyers involved, the dealer eventually negated the deal and gave them their money back. Unfortunately I heard this story after buying a car from the same dealer. I didn't have a blown engine but had over $3000 in repairs in the first year. That was 30% of the selling price.

The best advertising is always word of mouth and by your fine brothers standing behind your sold auto as you did I bet this comes back to you in many GOOD ways as you both deserve it ''Bigtime''! I used to sell used older cars for people to use instead of their newer cars for work and I too stood behind them because it was the right thing to do. Helped me sell a lot more cars back in the day.. You brothers are excellent people in a crazy world, a rarity..

That line was is a supply line and you could have used the barbed joint to repair it without an issue . If you have a truck shop near by that service big rigs or plow equipment they can make you hydraulic lines and save you the time of ordering parts on line . I also noticed the O2 harness is hanging on the left side and could cause a problem down the road as well so the new owner might want to put it back in it's holder . It's sad to see her go but $$$ gets other projects going so see ya Viper .

I'm not sure if people just don't listen or only watch bits and pieces of the video? He clearly states "the hose will have to be replaced with the correct part" the effort at repairing the hose was simply to try and get the new owner home quickly. Man those Vipers are so tight to work on, what a PITA.

on a similar note, back with car cd players were just coming out, I upgraded mine and sold my old sony to a buddy. He brought his car over, I installed it, put in a cd and it worked great. He was down on the street listening to it and I was upstairs having a beer. 10 minutes later he comes in, houston we have a problem. It stopped working. I checked all my wires, the cd was spinning, radio worked wtf? So I pulled it out, took it over to sony repair depot, $90 to fix. ARRRGH I only charged hm $100 for it and it was a $400 player......I said, how about we split the difference? he was totally cool with that because I did have it listed for sale for $200. I only sold it for $100 cuz he was a buddy. It lasted for 4 more years until he sold the car.
