We Slept at South of The Border! SO CREEPY
In this episode, we began our trip to Orlando with an overnight stay at the super creepy South of the Border campground in South Carolina of i95. We ran into a few hiccups with the breaker which kept tripping at our site and it was hot as hades!!!! Although we thought we fixed the problem, stay tuned for future episodes where we dealt with it again! We also take you on a tour of the little area and the reptile lagoon. I didn’t even know south of the boarder had a campground! But babyyyyy when that bird growled at you I was done! Well actually I was done after the hot dog but you know!!!! Great video!!!! And beautiful locs!!!

Wow, I never knew there was a campground located at the SOTB. I have passed this a thousand times over the years traveling to my mom’s house. I hope to get an RV soon and check it out.

Hey! I didn't travel that way much as a kid, but I did go thru south of the border around 1980, again around 1987, and then as an adult in 2005, (I took a bunch of pics and vids), and again last year in 2022 (I stayed overnight for the first time and made videos which are on youtube). I am going on vacation in a few weeks, and plan to stay at South of the Border again. It is very shabby compared to how it looked in the 80s, but they still have the best tacos, the rooms are clean and inexpensive, and the reptile museum is COOL! They also have a talking parrot!

That taking parrot has a bad attitude 🤣 I also travelled there as a kid and remember it being way more crowded and a lot less creepy. But the campground was cheap with full hookups so we are not opposed to doing it again. We'll have to try the tacos next time.

@@SJHFoto The broken & abandoned theme park rides. I think that's what really creeped me out. It honestly looked like a movie set for a horror flick. Also the campground was a bit deserted. The hotel and restaurants had quite a bit of traffic though. Maybe my husband would think I'm a bit dramatic😜

Yes!! Deserted 80s theme park is a perfect description! The perfect set for a horror movie. We "surprised" the kids with this location and they were non too thrilled 😂🤣

Lenf! Really amazing that South of the border still exists. It will most likely be gone after Buc-ees opens a bit south on 95 in Florence near the main intersection to head toward Myrtle. Thanks for sharing.

You guys should get a separate tote for extra poop hoses and items instead of a plastic bags. This way you can spray everything down inside the tote and clean stuff without reaching into a bag.
