Yeh boi that's a Water Rat, they're native do gooders and dont deserve the hate. Was a campaign to have them called by there traditional name, Rakali, he's more like an Australian otter.

Yeah man. Rakali seem to be getting more common. We saw them in Jindabyne a few months ago. Clever buggers know how to butcher cane toads for the edible bits.

That is a native water rat and yes they are protected here in Australia. If you put crayfish pots down and you get one of those in there they will drown and if the ranger sees it you are up for a Vincent fine.

Sorry to hear about your locker issues. Cannot for the life of me see when 2xLockers are more important than while towing a trailer, and they failed you. 😱 The wiring of e-lockers or the hoses of air lockers is an issue I have. This is why I got automatic mechanical lockers front & rear from Kaiser for my Jimny. Yes, they have a learning curve when driving on tarmac but they will never fail me when off-road. I hope you get your lockers fixed. Well shot video and choice of music. Very enjoyable.

Yep Mum and Dad and 4 kids in the back of a Toyota HiAce van. "Jackass Hill" or "Oh Shit Hill" as it was known back in the early 80's. Back then it was just a super steep smooth surfaced slightly eroded undulating hill, I used it frequently to access the Turon area just cause I could, often recovering motor bikes that had issues. Used to amaze the motorbike riders I'd been out to recover how easily the Hilux scampered up it. The hard bit was getting around the bend out of the creek carrying enough momentum to get up the initial steep bit you where stuck on, (no rock step back then). The "Oh Shit, you won't get up there" was quickly dealt with. By 2011 you'd hardly recognise it to be the same ascent/descent. Last vehicle I took up it was a locked front & rear 76 Cruiser in 2011, last time I'd ever do that, twas scary shit in a 76. Took a chap out in his unlocked GQ in 2012, I politely declined to put myself thru the Toyota 70 series hype, pieces of shit they are, but old mate in his GQ banged & clattered his way up, turned round and bounced & clattered his way down again. Whilst it was unlocked it just amazed us where it would go. He sold it to another chap I travelled with, he wheeled it just as well as old mate did, so it was the truck that was super capable, far more capable than a locked 76. Only thing worse, an unlocked 76. Thats a total shit box.💩 Go the Patrol!!!. What's more amazing than the Patrol? You pair, you always amaze me how you delve into waters that have flowed thru snow & ice. Bugga that, my nuts would clamber up so high they'd choke me, do you zip tie them to your shorts first, hahaha 😂.
