I do want to go and work in Germany as a techie but not sure how many years of education is needed to be eligible for job seeker visa. I have 15 years of education and I am more than 45 years of age. I think Indian IT industry is shrinking and it will get tougher in next couple of years so best option is to work in Europe especially Germany.

The tax class 3/5 needs more clarification. In general 3/5, 4/4, and 5/3 do not change the total tax annually. It only changes the tax prepayment you make every month. With 3/5 you might save 100 euro per month (as an example), but you will have to give that back when filing tax return in the following year.

People cannot save much when they have a mortgage, car loan, day care expenses etc. as the cost of living is high. Also, as you move up in your career you have to deal with a lot of politics mainly in IT and so it impacts work-life balance. Only doctors have the ability to save money as they make more than people in other professions. Generally, people realize all this when they start getting older (over 40) and the options to find good paying jobs become less or during economic crisis.

Possible in IT but not in other areas but you need to consider purchasing power. Purchasing power of 1cr INR is more than 110000 euro which is 1cr INR. 1cr inr has 3 times more purchasing power than 110000 euro.

IT jobs in western countries will pretty much disappear because of AI. The IT guys who have moved abroad through outsourcing (i.e. cheap labour) to do maintenance and Production Support type of jobs are too stupid to realize that their jobs are not secure.

Another undeniable thing is ageing parents' health issues which definitely pinch us which can be easily manageable while in India.

My name is Praveen and I have 5 years of work experience in IT. First of all I would like to thank you guys for making such an informative videos. Coming to salary part I agree with Sheekha not everyone is earning high salary here, i would talk about Bangalore the average salary is 15 lacs per annum (in hand : 1 lac+ post taxes) and i cant begin to talk about savings because that's the only part which people struggle with and is almost non existent here because of exorbitant rent and inflation amongst all the daily basic commodities. Still we make an attempt to save some like (20-30k). Been thinking of moving to Germany hence need your suggestions if the move is actually good given my wife is not working.

Seems a tad extreme to move to Germany if it's not working with your wife...😂😂😂 On a serious note, the salary and taxes issue is a major drawback, even if you master the language. I struggle to see how you can buy a house worth €400k-500k, if you are barely saving 1500-2000 euros per month.. On top of that, since Germany is a popular destination of asylum seekers, you will regularly come across people making 1200-1500€ in benefits without working or even learning German...

  • @nuukizmir

Language issue is a big problem in Germany, getting a small job even requires a high level of German language (B2). German is one of the toughest languages to learn.

This is all speculation and does not reflect reality, Germany specifically Munich is expensive and so one should not give false hopes . I know I have been abroad for 35 years. Even water and using washrooms you have to pay in Germany. 110000 euros for a couple is very less. Healthcare is not free in Germany it comes out of your taxes which is about 40 percent of your salary and you have to wait months to see a specialist. Most homes don’t have AC and it gets very hot in summer. Sundays everything is closed.

Hi guys, I follow your videos religiously… I have a question/doubt, we (I and my wife) badly want to relocate to Europe for 3-4 years, with the prime motive of exploring the continent. However, the problem that we face is that we are unable to get a match up salary in Europe. So, to give you a context, we are into IT sector and have around 12 years of experience. We save around 6.5 to 7 lakhs/month in India (our total annual income is somewhere around 1.25 Cr. Now, with this saving, we are not able to find a job where we can make atleast the same savings (if not more). I know the idea is to explore Europe but still not at the cost of loss on our current savings.. Can you guide us, if is it possible to relocate and still not be in loss. Thanks! 🙏

If you convert your salary According to ppp calculations, you should be earning 397389.86 eur per year to match the salary, I don't understand why people just compare eur/inr, the cost of living is also different, PPP is the actual thing people should talk about. But I think not everyone knows avout it. Just take some vacation and go to travel to europe would be better option.

Not great difference now a days. Earlier, european income used to be several times that in india. As of now it could be twice or so. From savings perspective, saving in india is much lucrative as it earns much higher rate of return on investment compared to anywhere in the world. Plus low cost of living. So big difference is basically in lifestyle. In india even of you havd money, you don't have time to spend it. So i would recommend to go europe not for wealth, but for health.

It was an informative video but unrealistic analysis was done. See you cannot have only the regular monthly expenses to spend. In addition to regular monthly spendings, you have to spend on travel in Europe and since we are Indians, we will travel to India at least once in a year, we gotta spend on our clothing and other accessories, electronic purchases. I you buy car, then EMI of Car and petrol, and most important what about capital expenditure like kitchen set up, furniture, deposit etc...

Hello guys, I have recently started watching your videos & really like the way you both talk about simple things and daily routine related things which affect majorly in our lives if a normal middle-class individual aspires to move Germany from India. I am a married guy with 3 year old daughter. Me & my wife both are working in India in IT with 60LPA total salary and managed to save around 3Lakh a month & living a comfortable life in India but we want to gain at-least 4-5 years of living & working abroad where environment is clean and where we can live a better lifestyle with less hustle-bustle in daily life. Can you suggest is it possible & practically achievable to move to Germany with a 3 year old kid where we both can work and have decent pay of minimum 60K(as this is an amount of which you guys told as an average salary) where we can live in an average house in a good locality and our child can go to a good school where German language will not be a challenge for her & she can get a good education?

This is not right for Civil engineering, civil engineering salaries are low in Germany compare to IT. Also it is difficult to move in other countries as construction is different in different countries.

@@syeedasif in Europe, every country has its own construction standards, and local language requirements is must. I am searching job in Germany and not even a single job is available in English. Also they require minimum B2 level German which will take another 1 year to do. Also, previous experience from home country is considered in civil. Salary is given as a fresher.

IT jobs will go away soon because of AI. The IT guys who have moved abroad through IT outsourcing jobs (i.e. cheap labour) to do maintenance, testing and Production Support type of jobs are too stupid to realize that.

You are forgetting that you have isolated yourself from all family relations/attachments, cultural/religious/social commitments of your homeland. In a way for money's sake you live a lonely life in an open jail. This fairy experience will be good as long as you are lonely couples, but once you have children then it's a hell of a thing whereby one of you will have to stop working n look after the kids till they are smart enough to adopt the foreign lifestyle. In India parents say that even though my child earns less than those abroad, he/she is with us to have food together. The present trend is that those who have started on their own or doing well would not prefer to go abroad for earnings. Pls be realistic n don't go on assumptions/presumptions to get trp by narrating a false imaginary picture....👎👎😊
