We Rescued a Yamaha Warrior 350 from the Crusher! Will it Run Again?
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The Yamaha Warrior 350 is one of my favorite sport ATVs! They're equipped with a simple and powerful 350cc air cooled engine and 5 speed transmission. They're not as powerful as the Raptor 660 or Raptor 700, but they make up for it in agility and playfulness. Charles owned a Yamaha Raptor 350 years ago, and I've been looking for a similar quad ever since. Today, I bought a clapped out 2000 Yamaha Warrior for $50! The previous owner told me he couldn't get it running and he was going to haul it off to the crusher if I didn't want it. Miraculously, we got this old sport quad running again!
Thanks for Watching!

You can really tell Charles is a experienced mechanic, and being a decent fabricator he is a big asset to your channel. Also that pipe should be good for $100.00 if you clean it up before you sell it. Great deal John

Can’t steal parts off of it now. You’ll have a blast riding that at the off road park! They have tons of torque. 3rd gear is the sweet spot on these for trail riding. Plenty of low end torque and top speed cruising in 3rd.

I rescued an '88 Warrior a few months ago; had been sitting under a porch for several years. Just needed a battery, carb, and a clutch handle. Came right back to life. Fixed a few other things, but now i trail ride it on the regular. Built like a tank.

When you said in a previous video that you were going to rob parts off it my heart dropped. The Yamaha warrior was one of the best quads ever made. I'm so glad yall got her running. You should bring it out for mini mayhem.
Every Yamaha I ever had was built like a tank . They make a great product. But your knowledge and experience speaks for itself. Can’t wait to see where this project ends up! Great video guys!!

The ONLY thing that peeves me about Yamaha is their overabundant use of Phillips screws for side covers. Absolutely useless.
Man I love the Yamaha Warriors! To me they were a great size. Not too big to be useless and not too small to be, well too small.
Hell ya!!!! Now that's what I'm talking about guys. It runs yes!!!!!! I love the will it run stuff, can't wait to see what you do with it

Excellent find and getting it running. Great job.
I found your channel again after a few years not watching and this new guy is bringing a nice new change to the channel
Greater the risk the greater the reward. Love seeing the derelict quad being delivered from the jaws of the crusher to sing of new life in another great episode of cars and cameras
I have to say you have the most entertaining videos on this channel love watching them thank you so much for sharing
This 350 needs a chance at the board, see what times it can lay down, then you can get creative with it
I think that this is too good of a bike to steal parts off of. I have ridden a warrior many times and they are an awesome bike and I can’t wait to see you guys do a riding video!
Really fun video you guys, nice job!
love the video Keep up the work🔥💪🏻
Nice steal and cant wait to see you have fun riding it amazing times & good memories
Awesome videos loving them all keep doing the awesome job guys
Going to make sure I keep this up in my favorites keep it up you guys are awesome
Back in 1996 or 97, a buddy and I both bought brand new Yamaha Warriors. Those were great 4 wheelers. 8 or 9” of travel, electric start, reverse, and it would go nearly 70 mph down country road.
Awesome guys! Great to see you guys bringing live to,a bike sitting for eons
This is awesome cuz I build quads some myself n had a warrior, kids first bike. Now he wants one again... Great content!!!
Another great find and video. This Old Man loves it. Looking forward to seeing it on the track . 🛵🧔💝💝💝
Heck yeah, a friend and I put a stage 3 on a Raptor 350 and it ran damn good. Pro tip, if using a stock carb, leave the air box lid on
Brilliant work guys. Good to save the sport quads. Warriors are a great wee machine.
Congratulations Charles! You guys are amazing.
You guys will find a way! Outstanding fellas!
This literally made me cry. I had this exact quad. I saved for years to buy it and due to money issues I had to sell it a few years ago. I have so many great memories of riding through the woods with my kids when they were younger. I miss it so much
Love your channel. One thing about looking down into the crankcase at the oil, keep in mind that oil floats on water. Just a thought. Keep up the good work, I always look forward to your videos. 😎

Very cool work guys 🤘🤘
Damn it, I love owen. The look of care and concern when talking about the brakes shows alot of his character.
Outstanding work guys! Great to see you awesome shade tree mechanics get that Yamaha running again. What's next for it?
Back when I was racing enduros I made my own brakes. Take an old set of car/truck pads and hacksaw the remaining pad off (3.00 to 5.00 mm thick). Shape with bench grinder and use 5min JB Weld. Helpful hint’s rough up the backings and pads, install in a vice for an hour or so to let dry. store bought pads would last one race (150 miles or so) and I could get two races with my set. Good luck and thanks for sharing your thoughts, time and videos with us and me.
I love it when Ike shows up and brings order to the works.
Back in 2000, a friend bought an immaculate "Won't start" low mileage 1995 CZ 125 for £50. When we had it back in his workshop, it took me a few minutes to spot the disconnected spade connector on the ignition switch. It started & ran sweet, once the spade was plugged back in.

It always amazes me that people buy dirt bikes and power equipment and know literally NOTHING about how they work to the point they can't even plug a wire back in or do basic maintenance of any kind. I guess its a win for us since we can pick up $50 quads and dirt bikes to play with or sell on for a profit.

@@panfriedmarmot Back in the late 1980's, a couple of friends & myself bought 3 x 1970's CZ 175-477 Sport & a 1979 CZ 125-481 Trail (as rare as hens teeth!!) as a job lot from a local motorcycle breakers,, for £75. I rode one of the Sport models from the yard to a bike dealers, where it passed the MOT inspection, and back home. The fault with it was the timing was set to fire 1 inch before BDC. One of the other Sport & the Trail models also had badly set points, so ran fine. The remaining sport model was seized but was fixed after replacing the crank journal bearings & seals, which is only an hour long job on CZ singles. Out of all the cheap "nothing seriously wrong / previous owner was mechanically ignorant" bikes, these four were the best bargains.
Well that video didn’t turn out like I thought! Great work guys!!
WOW!! I thought ....’no way is that thing ever going to run again.’ I was sooo wrong!! Don’t worry about that smoke. That mouse carcass will burn off in no time at all. But it might make you think about getting some Barbecue.
Man I haven't watched yalls in about 6 or 7 weeks I'm glad

Unbelievable that you got that thing running. Nice work

so much fun watching y'all.
They called it a warrior for a reason!! I know it would fire up be4 I even watched the video. Excited to see what you guys do with it.
Great Job Guys, you did just what I would have done!
The 350 warrior was a great quad. I've owned 3... the last one was a 2001, and I road it weekly until 2020. It just wouldn't die.
Good job that was awesome guys.
Great episode guys keep up the rebuild.
Well dun guy's!!!!...... congratulations on the find !!!..... great content ,editing and outcome !!
That is amazing!!!! Just a simple wiring issue. That makes all the difference!!
The 350 warrior engine has a reputation as being one the most reliable and bulletproof four stroke engines crafted by the hands of mortal man.
sweet I just rebuilt a 1987 yamaha warrior 350 too Mint . was a lot of fun.! now it's a lot of fun to ride.!
This will be the fastest vehicle you have had on the show. I'm jealous.
You gotta love a warrior. Hard to be and great little quads. Love mine.

Wow that's awesome great job sounds good to love the videos 👍
that warrior sounds sweet!!!! can't wait until it's roller on all four on its own power...
These are awesome! I have one and it’s been pretty much bulletproof. They are actually a 6 speed, at least my ‘96 is.
When it comes to the tire patch, If it's stupid and it works, it ain't stupid. Whatever gets you going or to the finish.🏆🏆
great stuff guys thanks
That's a good fine I found one in a junkyard it was a 93 Yamaha zodiac 400 4 x 4 and I got about 500 in to it and I paid $25.00 and it's a great wheeler and now it has a 50" ram plow love it
Always did have a soft spot for the Warrior. Those two big headlights mounted high up and the short nose gave it this eager-puppy, "YEAH, let's go exploring! Fun times!" vibe. It just looked ready to go have fun getting dirty. Especially in the original blue and yellow color scheme.
One of my all time favorite quads
@20:20 Charles -" we got stuff coming out " what looks to be a mouse carcass shoots out the exhaust 😂🤣😂🤣😂
That's more than worth it to put $500-$1,000 into to get it all fixed up and going
This was actually a good video !
So cool! Now that’s a come up!!
Sometimes when an engine sits for a long time the oil in the rings dries up and the compression will go down until it’s run enough to work oil back into the rings. You might be able to crank it without the spark plug to pump oil back out to the rings and your compression can go up. I’ve seen people put oil in the cylinder too but that makes me worry about bending a rod if I don’t get enough oil out.
Holy 🚬's....Great Job getting it going Guys! Thats a sweet lil high Rev mamba jamba...
I have always wanted a Yamaha Warrior since they first came out on the market. I used to love the way the Red and Black ones looked with the Gold Rims. Back in the 80s i think it was or early 90s.
Bought a $350 thanksgiving day warrior a couple years ago. Put a battery and stator in it and it still runs great
Really want to see you guys get that thing back together and riding. For that price you can’t beat it.
That’s awesome I can’t believe that thing is working
Now that’s a deal! Small error, can discourage anyone. Just takes the right someone to find it and put it back. Awesome job
Those warriors are almost unstoppable, fast too!
Love them 350cc Yamaha engines I had a wolferine that was bullet proof
Awesome score!!!
That's a epic win on that one guys, I ironically had the same issue with a Cagiva MiTo at work this week two pairs of plugs that are interchangeable. They had been put the wrong way round and was instantly blowing the main fuse, quick switcheroo jobs a peach 😂. Sometimes it's the simplest things 👍
I’ve been waiting to get my go kart running and you have inspired me to do this and get it running so I can ride in minimaham when it comes around
This video brings back memories. Had a 350 warrior. Tough as all get out. Only weak spot is the rear axle housing seals fail and bearings go shortly after.
Old and new school mechanics , old and new school fabrication . John with decent skills and brains to match . Ike ,Charles and John could each have their own channel ,Ike does and I love it, but together they are a fun special trio . Waiting for the book of their journey together . Yes it will run. You three can fix anything 👍 👍
Awesome! You guys really need some ceiling fan vents for smoky projects and the summer heat for sure.

how lucky are you guys, if only I could find something like that or an old motorbike here in the UK 🇬🇧 I would have a great time fixing it up. another great vid guys looking forward to the next one 👍
