You never know till it happens. People RANTED about how Trump would win both debates easily in 2020. Instead Trump looked like an Angry Idiot and it was as widely agreed that he lost those, as people agree that he won this one. Strategy played a part here, for sure: Someone finally got Trump to stop the angry ranting and bully tactics and just try to ACT PRESIDENTIAL, which improved his look. Biden on the other hand got bad advice to ATTACK TRUMP relentlessly, which was bad strategy. The constant attack politics is what hurt Trump in debates in 2020. But I also think it's harder to play defense, meaning, its harder to be the incumbent. When you are President, you have to constantly make a decision, now, today.... even when both choices are crap and will have some bad effects. You have to pick that poison, often. It gives your enemy in a debate LOTS of ammunition. And it hurts your body language because you keep hearing that you ALREADY DID something that was WRONG. Like... there is no good, happy retort to something that happened in the past, and ended up badly. It's hard to excuse your past mistakes.

From the moment he stumbled on stage, he was tost. My jaw dropped when he waved to non existing audence, thanked them for clapping. Did no one tell him? Oh right. They did.

Woodrow Wilson was incapacitated for 18 months after suffering a massive stroke. The first lady (his wife) kept everyone away from him and she basically ran the country. So it wouldn't be unusual if someone else was doing the heavy lifting for Biden.

If we're being honest, Trump didn't need to say much. This was about Biden's mental deterioration being on full display. If there's another debate I imagine Trump will say even less and allow Biden to further embarrass himself.

My interpretation and MHO: He was being fed information into an earpiece (right ear) and was looking distant because of that and then jotting down notes. I also believe he had special contacts were he could read messages, something like a teleprompter, at the end. For somone who looked like the walking dead, he was quite revived the next day at a rally and his 'cold' was miraculously gone. I guess he 'gave it away' to someone at the Waffle House the night before. 🙂 Actually, after all that 'prepping' his handlers messed (him and the debate) it up big time. Either they wanted to pull him out of the race and purposely made him look bad, or it's elder abuse. Regardless, even his handlers suck at what they're doing and are a danger to our country.
