When NATO keeps a proxy war going just to weaken Russia, it makes perfect sense that: 1. Providing just enough military aid to keep Ukrainians in the fight instead of providing them with what's necessary to win. 2. There is no incentive from NATO's perspective to force negotiations or to even end the war. 3. NATO does not define what winning the proxy war means, so they can't fail. 4. For sure NATO won't allow NATO membership for Ukraine because then article 5 will force them to put boots on the ground. 5. Proxy wars lets other die for cynical geopolitical gains. Anyone still believing that the West has the best interest of the Ukrainian people at heart, has to get his head examined. Russia kills Ukrainians and the West prolongs that.
