Agreed, fighting is not the point of the game, they need to reduce ammo to force people to play correctly and remove the choice to do the tutorial and just force the player to do the tutorial.

Basically a few things from what I know: Whenever the orange eyes float up from the bottom of your vision, that's an indicator that the person with the briefcase knows where you are. When you get the briefcase, you can use an ability to see anyone in the area, at the cost of everyone knowing where you are as well You figured out that to get into some rooms you need specific disguises, good job on that You'll need to collect those little computer chip things like the white one at 10:53. They give you upgrades in certain aspects, and the right combinations can make very deadly builds It's best to play it safe for the opening minutes so you can loot staff rooms and terminals for ammo. Once you have some upgrade chips and some ammo, you'll be good to get into a fight

Corrections and clarifications: The suitcase ability is not at the cost of people knowing where you are. That's just what happens normally while you have the suitcase. A bar fills up in the bottom middle of the screen and once it fills a ping automatically goes off. The cost of the ability is intel. While you hold the ability button (Q by default) it drains your intel and shows you all the nearby agents even in cover. They also only see where you were at the time not permanently. You also don't *need* disguises to get into certain rooms, it's just to not get caught by the NPCs or other players. Also the vault terminal rooms and the vault room have no proper cover. The chips are upgrades based on what you pick as your deck before a game. The different colors indicate how rare they are and how big of a boost they give. Like if you wanted you could move the cover accelerator from just a white to a purple and make it so your cover meter regens incredibly fast. In the first few minutes your main mission is gathering intel and looting for keycards and upgrades. Staff rooms typically have some keycards and up to green upgrades. Guard rooms are where you find a lot of ammo laying around and each one always has an ammo vending machine where you can spend 3 intel for 20 ammo. The upgrades typically don't do too much for a fight honestly. Ammo though is pretty obvious. The biggest issue with the game in the current state is people keep playing it and being way too bloodthirsty.. they're trying to rebalance things like a heat system is being added for if you kill NPCs. There's too much right now with people just like Grizzy going "I THINK THAT'S A PERSON" and kills them with no consequence other than breaking cover. Also, this wasn't to be rude to you or anything. I just didn't want misinformation being spread. Like "the cost of everyone knowing where you are as well."

For real, worlds apart

If you end up doing the tutorial later, you will be alot more set for future games (and I do think you should post more of this game), but in case you don't... in bathrooms there is a health dispenser. 3 intel=full health. There are also ammo dispensers sprinkled throughout the game (mainly in guard rooms) 3 intel for an ammo box. That should help, but the tutorial does go in more depth for the mechanics.
