I found out the other day that grass is literally greener on the other side because of the way light bounces off the blades at that angle. The grass looks greener from across the street than from directly above. And the analalogy holds for relationships. Relationships you're not in seem more promising than the one you're in because you can't see the limitations of the new one from the outside. You'll only see its limitations when you're in it.

You guys are missing the context of this scene. The girl in the scene, named Domino, used Andrew for emotional support by letting him believe she had feelings for him. She even kissed him. When she had what she wanted, only then did she decide to "do the right thing" by rejecting him. Her attitude seems compassionate, but her actions are cold. She even used him as a surrogate father figure for her daughter! She played on his heartstrings then gaslit him.

I thought he was so cruel at that moment…he was so sure no amount of tears was enough to convince him I just didn’t see how much potential I got…he was sinking and kept going down..now years later I’m grateful that he was strong enough to choose me over his own desires…!! Based on having seen only this scene, there's a lot of oddness being said... - How could she know better if he loves her or not? If he was a teenager then I'd give her some credit for guidance, but he seems mature enough throughout this conversation. He's probably developed a sense of what love is. - If he really wants her to be happy then why doesn't his face reflect that when she states that she is? - A relationship has way more of that possibility compared to when you draw the line before it. So much gets limited when you deny someone from getting closer to you, obviously. - Being 22yo is totally fine. It's not that young for a 32yo. Of course it isn't ideal, but defeinitely no reason to exclude any opportunity. If you care to be a good influence then he can catch up within a year or two. That's worth being patient for. Some people age a decade within a single year while other people don't grow for 50. - It's never up to her to decide what's enough for him. She can reject him for her own reasons, but she cannot claim to be doing it for him. That's not fair. She doesn't get to steal his vote. He is a different person with his own set of desires and goals that are motivated by everything else that's different. - And of course you can decide that you love somebody. Most love happens said way. It's the most common practice. - Bro, a kiss doesn't provide nearly that many answers. - If you really want to marry that other guy... then why are you giving people who are paying careful attention a strong notion that you don't? Watching the entire movie better clears things up or I'll remain annoyed. Was this scene even complete? Feels like some parts might be cut out.

I think her pov was valid. It may seem wrong to "take away his choice," but ultimately that choice would not only affect her but her daughter as well. As a mother, she has to think of how her relationship with him would affect her daughter, especially since her daughter is autistic. Also, there are a lot of people that are mature for their ages, but that doesn't mean that they are in the same league as someone who has ten years of life over them. At 22, your world is just opening up, and although he seems to have a solid moral compass and a strong sense of responsibility, he's still trying to figure himself out. Case in point: in the beginning of the movie he wanted to reunite with his girlfriend in Spain and by the end he changed his mind. The impulsiveness and spontaneity that you have in your 20s is not only expected, it's encouraged. A 30 something yo mother to an autistic child is not given the same liberty. She has responsibilities and at that age and with a child, the idea is that you've gotten a lot of that "living by the seat of your pants" out of your system. If not for yourself, then it should at least be for the kid. Finally, young people should date around. You learn a lot about yourself and the world by dating and in relationships and committing to something so serious before you have a good idea of who you are and what you want (especially if your partner knows who they are and what they want) is a recipe for disaster.

I don't understand her Thinking, because she will eventually give her Heart to Someone, and every decision is based on many possibilities or outcomes. And it will turn out great, or not so great, or something in-between. This is True no matter who you choose. I Want a Woman to Marry me because she feels Alive, and Special when I am with her, and if she doesn't feel Alive, and Special, when she is with me, then it us not the Kind of Love for a marriage of a LifeTime. I want a Woman for her to feel Unspeakable, Intense, Special, Vibrant feelings. Feelings of Care, Concern, Compassion, Respect Elation, Admiration, Dedication, Love, and I should retain, and hold the Same Reciprocal intentions, and Feelings towards her. I am still in love with an old flame who happens to be my best friend (and he's not over me, even after ten years, and we tried being together twice), while talking with my currently boyfriend of 5 years about us getting engaged and working towards owning a home together... my heart is hurting and I am still processing this. I can't let my best friend know about how I buried this feeling because I don't want him to suffer even more. But it hurts everytime he looks at me like a schoolboy in love.

Some men aren't really into the woman they date. Sometimes they date in order to not be alone, or for feminine companionship, even if its with women they aren't into, because men rarely find a woman they truly like, so some of them get impatient. These are men without integrity. There are usually red flags that indicate that. So it's not that he stopped valuing you, it's that he never truly saw you as a true romantic partner of his. He probably figured he let it go too far when he noticed you really starting to fall for him. Men like this just go around breaking hearts. It's not ok. A man that is truly romantically interested in you wouldn't leave when you fall for him and is very decisive when it comes to being with you.

Obviously not as there are marriages all over the place. The problem is 80% of women chase after the top 20% of men Do the math and you'll see why so many women get their heart broken. They punch wayyyy above their weight class. They also tend to mistake sexual interest for relationship interest.
