WE'RE EXPANDING AGAIN! New BendPak Lifts Being Installed at The Shmuseum | VLOG 83

We've been waiting for this. The storage side of @TheShmuseum is increasing with some new BendPak Autostacker A6W lifts being installed! We also have an upgrade for the @Shmee150 C63 AMG Black Series from Odyssey Battery, the first car modification in the new barn.
There have been plans in the works from the beginning to expand the line of BendPak Autostacker lifts to cover the whole of the wall used for storage at the garage, and now it's time to make more progress and install 3 further additions to the original 4. The Autostacker both looks amazing, but also offers brilliant functionality, and with the A6W offering an extra wide bed, they are perfectly suited to low supercars.
First things first, it's time to shuffle some of the @Shmee150 collection before the work gets underway. To reduce the risk of any damage to the cars, we're tucking them right into the far end of the garage. Back to the present day and we need to take a couple of cars to Shmuseum V2, just to clear up some extra space. Whilst the lift's are being unpacked, let's run through the plans for the new barn and also show the latest upgrade to the C63 Black Series, a new battery from Odyssey Battery.
Back in Shmuseum V1 and we're taking delivery of a scissor lift, making sure to NOT hit the SF90. The team from Liftmaster are making great progress and before we know it, we've got three bases in place, efficient work!
Massive thanks to Odyssey Battery for supplying us with an Odyssey ODP-AGM49 H8 L5 for the C63 AMG Black Series, you can check out their products here: www.odysseybattery.com & / odysseybattery_emea
Also a big thank you to Bendpak for sending out three more Autostacker A6Ws, we cannot wait to get these up and running: www.bendpak.com
Thanks for watching!

    Hey Tim! I really love watching your collection and also Shmuseum grow! Just in case you havent think about it I am wondering if you could build an inside car elevator for the expantion of the Shmuseum to the main hall just for thoose 70cm. Thats an idea for avoiding the walk around and also connect both areas! Keep up the good work!

    Hi, question not really relevant to this video.... but why not make the "storage" area (tyres, covers, parts, ect) in Barn 2 instead of the side of Barn 1? I mean it should free more floor space for the Museum side of things

    I still think you should open up access between the two halls, on paper it might seem good to have them separate, but I think in practice it’ll be more ‘flowing’ if you can drive between both halls. Plus you’ll soon get fed up opening three doors and moving bollards just to move cars around, plus the added benefit of not moving them outside when the weather is crap. And if a ramp isn’t an option, I’m sure Bendpak could sort you out a lift…..😉

  • @TheBigRab

    @TheBigRab

    Жыл бұрын

    if the ramp has to be 7/8 meters long, if possible, they could cut into the concrete in the upper level and then only use up to 4 meters in each room? if it sits in the middle. Although, strangely, I like the idea of a car lift too!

  • @Jimmythefish577

    @Jimmythefish577

    @@TheBigRab yeah I get the ramp idea is probably a no go, but lots of other collectors have lifts, Topaz has one. Might involve a bit of engineering but it’s definitely doable. As I say I think they’ll quickly get fed up opening and closing 3 doors, running outside etc, especially in the winter when it’s really rubbish weather. Just my 2 cents worth.

I think he's good on space for now, what he needs is a "Gaming Zone" to chill out in with friends & family (Team Shmee + Biological). Tim, if you see this, as someone who loves Sim Racing & Cars I highly recommend that you invest heavily in a surround sound system for your Sim Racing Rig, the difference it makes when properly setup cannot be overstated. You should absolutely move the current offices into the other barn as storage, or a tool shed/sitting area for when work is being done on the cars. I would also get a few more for storage, or build a room for this purpose. I would also put a 1 story glass viewing area with a deck up top where the current offices are for when an event takes place. Either this or just disregard this idea and move the cars backward. Obviously this requires a lot of money so please do what is feasible

    Shmee if you happen to take a look at this, i have a suggestion for the garage so here it goes: The left side is the lifts, the front side is the office and mezzanine. The right side just needs to be cars but facing the office and the mezzanine. Basically parked vertically in a fashionable order and just have the show cars there. Please consider this and remove any store or office from the right side. Just make it a beautiful garage with beautiful white epoxy flooring and blue accents. Get the roof also white with good lighting and posters which are framed and not just hanging. This needs to be and look like an expensive garage based on the cars in the collection. The storage/extra offices can be moved to the back garage. This needs to look 100/100. Hope you consider this. Keep up the amazing work as always.

    Having numbered endliess things myself over the years and constantly having to put in account how you can build a good list without renumbering, I have a suggestion - with my thoughts on it: Unless you have a third barn behind the mezzanine side of the Shmuseum, I recommend to count the other way. Starting with number 1 for the "stackerless" spot next to the stairs. Then the first of the 3 new stacks is number 2 and so on to the wall which will then be number 8 - continuing in the workspace barn with number 9 and ending the complete left side of the whole building with number 15. You could also start with the first stacker as number one - which would make the additional space next to the shmez-stairs possibly number zero - but I prefer number 1 for that space (without stacker) since you seem to already have planned out one car to stay there anyway. Which then also leaves you more flexible für the halo-space underneath the mezzanine - which then could be number zero - or anything else that comes to mind. To not get into any counting difficulties for the future - I would then start the museum side with an A and continue with letters on the right side. One additional reason to start on the left with 1 ist - that it is simply how we read in the western world. We start on the left. Let's see how it all turns out :-) I am almost as excited as you on how you're going to number them :-)

    In terms of easy access for the cars from one garage to the next, how about a hydraulic lift? Drive a car on and drive through, no need for a long ramp taking up too much room!

    Ever considered an Armytrix exhaust for the GT with the recent issues may be a chance to try something new and probably different for the GT

    How has the heating and cooling been in the Shmuseum so far? I saw you have what looks like an air purifier as well, how has the air quality been in there?

    You’ll easily fit a nice classic mini in that space. 😁

    That small space on the end would be perfect for a 1987 mini

    Not sure on space but I’d maybe suggest having the ramps in line rather than side by side? So directly in line with the door entry and hence saves manoeuvring getting any car into a bay and on to a lift? Project ramp where the E500 was and another closer to the door which you essentially drive through to get to the project ramp? Should give even more space for storage?

    I've seen similar be done with a 36-Tonne Tractor and the wall showed barely little sign of damage, the poor tow hitch on the tractor however needed a little massage with a hammer & torch to resemble it's original form.... Haha
