    I love how honest they are about this! I feel like some people get on them for being open, but me, as a teenage girl, can TOTALLY see how much this helps other families to raise their own kids, as well as setting an example for the next generation. Keep up the good work, I love ya'll so much!!!

    I’m a professional dancer and grew up with this exact competitive dance schedule! If she loves it, is able to handle the schedule and time commitment, keep her dance for as long as she can do it!!! It was the biggest blessing in my life having a positive dance experience growing up and now I’m dancing professionally at the Moulin Rouge in Paris, France every night. It’s changed my life and personality for the better, and for her as well!❤

    Adoptive Parenting takes so much extra energy and awareness. These kids are born with trauma. We had 2 children who came into our family through adoption and while it was so worth it, we spent so much time caring for their special needs as an adoptee. Adoption is not for the faint of heart.

  • @mariak1534

    @mariak1534

    2 күн бұрын

    Yes!! I hope they see this comment! Adoption isn’t the best solution just to give their other kids a “playdate”. I really do believe that sav and Cole are great parents, and I think they’re gifted with the resources and love that many parents do not have. However, I myself am adopted, and even though I was adopted as a baby, I still have had to go to therapy for abandonment issues and anxiety issues, even though I don’t even remember anything that happened. My grandparents and my aunt were also foster parents, and kids who are about ev’s age and are in foster care are usually way more traumatized than someone who was adopted as a baby. They might act out in ways they never imagined a kid would act, and say wildly inappropriate things around the other kids. I would never discourage adoption, but they should definitely be prepared for what they’re exposing their other kids to potentially, and the time and attention that kid will likely need.

    I hear you!! I had 5. Then had surprise twins! 7, ages 11 to newborns, with 3 in diapers. We were on our own too, with family far away. It was intense for a short while, but the joys were worth it. I didn't homeschool, schools in the Pacific Northwest in the 80s and 90s were okay. I wish you all the best. You have a beautiful, precious family. It won't always be so intense. Enjoy these days, they will pass all too quickly. ❤❤❤😊

    I really appreciate the intentionality with which you raise your kids. In regards to the dance question that you asked people to comment about- I totally think we need to help our kids find what they’re good at and then encourage them in that direction. With dance I would ask the question: how will this serve her as an adult? I know she’s MASSIVELY talented, but being a professional dancer is difficult and typically not a lifelong career. Also- is that even what she would want to do with her life? Secondly, and I say this will all the love and respect in the world, our kids should not be the center of our lives. That teaches them that the world revolves around them and leads them to be really selfish people. It sounds like dance takes up such a significant amount of time and resources that even though I know that’s not what you would ever want her to believe- that’s the message that’s being sent. We should be bringing our kids into our world instead of our lives revolving around them. This is probably the 2nd comment in my whole life I’ve ever left on a KZread video- so just know this comes only because you asked and I’m not an internet troll hiding behind a keyboard. 😂 Thankful for the platform you’ve built and how you use it to bring glory to the Lord.

Most nights I have to prep dinner in the afternoon so we can reheat after all practices after school then shower book and bed. And I fall on my face

    To be honest I see cole being the one with a much more realistic mind set. Both sav and cole have the same amount of hours in their week. He is being realistic when he says he is maxed out with 5 kids sav just keeps wanting to relive the baby stage which (in my view) is selfish because she is just taking time from her existing children every time she has another. Focus on your current children is the best decision you could make.

    This is coming from a now grown adult who was very involved in an activity as a child at a high level. I was a competitive swimmer and it always took a lot of time (two sometimes three in water practices a day, extra gym time after those practices and film time, meets almost every other weekend and the expenses that came along with it) especially when I got to a higher level. But having the support of my parents was crucial to me enjoying it. This support was not just letting me do it but sometimes helping me to know that sometimes I needed a break and reminding me that there are other important parts of my life that aren’t swimming. Hope this gave some insight god bless❤

Last year my older two made their school’s Track, cross country, basketball, and swim teams. My 7 and 8 year old joined their color-guard team! I am also a working mom (kindergarten teacher). Life is busy, but would not have it any other way! It is hard getting the kids to and from practices, games, meets, and competitions, but boy it is my absolute favorite thing to cheer my kids on. Something that has helped is weekly and monthly planning meetings where we look at what is on the calendar. My husband and I plan and schedule rides. It is also important to make friends with other parents and carpooling! Cole is right things do get a little complicated the more mobile the kids become, but seeing your children’s personality and talents develop it’s incredible!

I spread all of my children out thinking it would be easier but it was hard. It all works out for you because this is what you both wanted. My kids are all grown now my youngest being 20. I wouldn’t change a thing being a stay at home mom. Getting to see your children grow up and learn to be independent and respectful. I feel that if you don’t post it’s okay because you’re busy. It’s hard doing the work between you and your spouse with no nanny or child care. I 💯 percent agree and understand. Please just take time to rest because you need it as well. The dishes will still be there in the morning. I absolutely enjoy watching your beautiful family and both of you. God has blessed you in so many ways. I had all 6 of my kids in soccer and I was one of the coaches. Every kid was on a different team other than the 3 older ones. I think mom rocks Everleighs dance stuff that she could take baby and Posie with her. Or at least just Blue. You guys justify yourself too much, you really don't need to. I’ve been watching you guys for so long. I’m so happy you guys don’t a nice Labrant family and I’m so sad that you guys are announcing that you’re not having any more kids because all your kids literally look just like both of you guys. It’s so crazy how you guys built a family so fast and you waited patiently for each kid to come, this is such a blessing and I’m so grateful that you have beautiful babies and a beautiful family❤

    We had a daughter that was very active in gymnastics. It was too much. She regrets it now and we regret it as well. Too expensive, injuries, long practices and days away from family. We also homeschool. She is now 14 and trying every sport recreationally and is resting better, serves at our church, learning new skills, spending time with family and friends. My advice would be ask yourselves what is Everleigh going to do with dance when she’s older? Is she going to be a dance major in college? Does she want to own a dance studio? It doesn’t matter how good a child is at certain activities they all end, it is shaping her in a way you may not think is an issue but the costumes, provocative dance moves, makeup, performing in front of men, it’s just very odd if you separate the fact that she’s been doing it for so long. Have her volunteer at your church, take dance classes for fun, perform every once in a while. It’s not healthy for this to be the center of her life. Trust me we are still healing from the gymnasium experience.

    4 days a week, 6 hours each day of dance for an 11 year old in my opinion is too much. Plus taking up weekends and family holidays is not great. I’d take her to a different studio and maybe settle for 2 days a week. That way she still gets to dance, but family is also a priority ❤

    As somebody that grew up dancing since I was 3 and I’m 24 now I would say for Ev allow her to compete but also realize when she gets older she might want to step back on her own. She might want to have more of a social life than be at a competition every weekend. Definitely give her time!!

    Note for Ev. As long as you're communicating with Ev and hear her and make sure Dance is what she wants to do. Also teaching Ev a good balance between family life, social life, and school is a great life skill to teach her and your other kids. Especially Everleigh, since she's at that age. You guys are amazing and I love your family so much and you guys are such a wonderful. Thank you for doing KZread and I love watching your Journey and I can't wait for your new house! Love you Labrant fam 🫶

    You guys are so young please don’t get the surgery , my husband almost went and got sick , didn’t go and we wanted a baby 2 years later and we thanked God - cause we were 100% done until we wanted another , but boy we were so serious about being done. And then we weren’t 😂- just wait a little I promise you can always come back to that surgery ❤

    They are very young. They might think they are done now, but a couple years from now, when things settle down, they may want another. These are not always easily reversed, and their can be additional complications. The way I figure is, you will not regret a child that is there. I always liked the idea of leaving it up to God if I have kids.
