We're Bringing WWII Veterans Back to Europe (and we need your help!!!)
Last year, all of us came together to send 4 veterans of WWII back to the battlefields where they fought so that they could share their stories with all of us and create a digital record that future generations will benefit from. We're doing it again and we need your help. Please consider donating via the link below and sharing this video with others so that we can give these men one last opportunity to share their story with the world.

I took a vet from the 517th parachute reg back to Stavelot in 2008. The school kids of Trois Pont Belgium sang songs for him, the mayor greeted him and he signed the "Golden Book" that all visiting ww2 vets signed. One day brought us to tears on the bridge in Stavelot.

My Grandpa didn't write his memoirs of the war until in his late 80s (he passed away 2011 in his 90s)...after reading them, I understood why he never talked about it, and why he waited until he knew that if he didn't write it down then, we'd never know his story. I always appreciate the first-hand history lessons from WWII vets who are willing and able to share.
The work you do will be remembered and watched for decades.

He was a brave soldier she said he didn’t want to fight in the war he just wanted to keep his little girl safe sadly she never knew what happened to him my family fought on both sides German and American and the stories I remember is we fought for what we thought was right but now we hope to make peace with the men who were once our enemies I truly love seeing y’all’s spread these brave men there stories and there views on the war I truly wish more of my generation would see that.
We have donated. Thank you JD for sharing these Veterans stories with all of us 😊

From a retired Air Force Firefighter that served in the Gulf war I thank you for what you are doing for these Combat Vets. My Grandfather who was a retired Gettysburg District Magistrate served in WW2, he never made it overseas he was stationed in TX as a Army weapons instructor, whether he was slated for the Japan invasion I'll never know but I always wondered of the thousands he trained to, shoot rifle, bazooka and mortar how many never came back. Thank you again for what your doing and looking forward to seeing the new videos and your museum on our next trip to Gettysburg.
JD you inspired me to create my own channel, and show the real history of our subject.

You’re a good man JD. I can see how much you care for these men and what they did for all of us. It’s a shame I didn’t have more of an interest in WW2 history when I was younger. I have family who has passed that I would have loved to known their story😢
Donated as soon as I saw your video. That’s a nobrainer. Can’t say thank you enough to these people that fliberated my country. Ty JD.
No words… just thank you! ❤
My 2nd great grandfather and his wife attended the 50th. I have their tickets. CC Dyer, VA 8th Infantry, in Pickett’s charge and wounded in the side.
This is making me very emotional JD. I hope we can get many vets back there. Maybe to reminisce or even have some closure. WWII is my favorite war to study and research. God bless the vets and to you for caring about these fine soldiers.
Been holding on to some money. Think this is a better thing to spend it on. Thank you JD
I'm so happy that you're doing this again!! I'm looking forward to learning more from these guys!! RIP Bud H. and we'll all see you again on the other side!! JD, you and Eric are doing an amazing job with these videos!! I'm learning more about my favorite subject from this channel than I ever thought I would!!
Its sad we are losing the greatest generation...breaks my heart.

My great grandpa William Turner was a US Army ww2 veteran from Cassville, MO. He was a rifleman on a halftrack. 47th AIB company B 5th armored division. He received 3 bronze stars for his campaigns in Rhinelands, central Europe, and Ardennes-Alsace, and the medal of good conduct. He did say that he wished he could go back to see Europe again to see what it's like without war. He would be 101 if he hadn't passed 20 years ago. He did see saving private Ryan in theatre. All he said was, yes that's very accurate. I love him dearly and am so proud of him. I've spent countless hours trying to find details on his service since he didn't share much when he got back. I would've loved to accompany him to Europe. Trip of a lifetime.
Didn't hesitate for a second. Donation sent! Keep doing what you're doing JD!!

Dear JD, I’m a big big fan of you and I love your work. I learned a lot about WW2 just watching your videos. You and Eric are doing such an amazing job. Keep going… Just donated a little and shared the video with some friends. Just wanted to let you know also, that I will be in Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D-Day too and was wondering, if I will be lucky enough to see veterans there. Now I know that - maybe - I will see 4 of them, thanks to you and your team. See you there…. Greetings from Frankfurt.

That would be a question for Andy Biggio. The logistics and cost of getting to the Pacific are kind of tough. Especially for these men who are advanced in age. I’ll be getting there myself though.
It is indeed an honor to be able to chip in and help these hero's out. I only wish I could be there with you all. Rip Bud!!
I’m honored to help. My dad was in the 26th Infantry Division and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He passed in 1995, but was able to return to Europe in the 1980’s and visit some of the areas he had been during the war. Thank you for honoring these heroes.🇺🇸💝🪖

This is the end of it you all remember that the war was over in sept of 1945 so even sneaking in like my father in law at the ripe old age of 15 these men have to have been born by 1930 or before that makes the youngest 94. Let’s get it done guys.

I was honored to be at Pearl Harbor for the 80th anniversary. The amount of Veterans there was amazing. Im glad somebody is taking the time and effort to try this and wish I you luck!
So happy I was able to donate this time around. Thank you JD for keeping the stories of these men alive for future generations to learn from!
I’ve just finished watching a YT video featuring Tony Robinson doing an archaeology dig in a town and place in England where Easy Company prepared for the drop in Normandy. Some interesting artefacts and history of that time and place. - ‘Digging Band of Brothers: Time Team.’ Worth a watch.
When I saw the video about Bud's death, I promised I would donate to the next fundraising opportunity without hesitation! Just donated! Also, big props on refusing to spend any of the money on yourself!

My great great grandfather was in the 26th Emergency PA. He was a college student at what was Pennsylvania College in Gettysburg. They were the first regiment to engage with CSA at Gettysburg delaying the way by a day. He was captured by Jubal. Three family members were in that outfit. I wonder if Erik has anything in the museum on them. Thank you for looking after our veterans and sharing their story.

You need the French veteran organisations of the second world war. I am sure there is one or maybe more. We have one in the Netherlands who always help when the Canadian veterans come, so the French will have one as well. They can assist. Maybe not with money but with other things. Information. Busses. Room. Whatever.
