I was going to say the same i used to go to a rc car hobby shop when I was little and they had a Jeff Gordon Monte Carlo shell in the parking lot and my first rc car was a traxxas dale truck from them and they closed down back in 2016 (haven’t been able too find a hobby shop as good as they were since in nj lol

It’s not a museum exhibit, it’s a cool vehicle that should be used, I agree that using it as it was intended could be the death of it and think this is a great idea to get it back being used and creating great content, I look forward to the time lapse Tye fab videos.

I hope you guys show a lot of the build like you used to. Loved the old time lapses when Tye would be welding, fabricating, and walking us through things.

In Thailand we run solid axle swaps on our diesel drag trucks running about 3.5-4khp the ford front diffs run good till about 2000hp plenty of after market support and that’ll definitely keep up with that beauty of a t case

Please, please, PLEASE, will you try to keep the same style exhaust? That is the sickest exhaust, it fits the truck so well!

I think Cleet said in the video they were going twin turbo. The NASCAR exhaust won't work with the turbos.

The Dale truck is my favorite sounding machine in the fleet. Hope y'all keep the turbos UNDER the hood and run em out the old boom tubes! Real happy to see it getting attention again but now I gotta go back and watch the old videos amd hear that sweet freedom song. Also, kick some TX ass!

Being from Downunder we call them Ute's not trucks, but this thing will be AWESOME! We have my Late Grandfather's genuine HQ Holden Sandman Ute currently being Restomodded at Southern Rod and Custom down here with an awesome LSA, 6 Speed Tremec Combo! An all wheel drive Dale tribute kicking ass will be Great Mate!!!!

If you’re trying for 2000hp + and you don’t want to have to worry about the front diff, solid axle swap is your answer. Diesel drag race guys put 3-4k hp through “stock” dodge front and rear axles on 5-8k lbs trucks. Plenty of after market support, and the axles and parts are readily available. Will match the strength of the rear end and that drop box/transfer case. If you want to talk with someone about it, talk to firepunk diesel. They have had a diesel truck go 3’s in the 1/8th so they know what they’re doing

100% no, especially when you know your boss is the one editing the videos.. having to pay attention to the cameras sucks, having to make sure people can see what your working on makes some tasks insanely more difficult then they need to be(you know people will complain if they can't), having to watch what you say because you know it's on camera sucks, not being able to listen to music in the shop because it's being recorded sucks. on paper it might be a good idea but in reality it's complete hell. try doing your job knowing you're being recording every minute of your day 5 days a week and that it's going to be posted for everyone to see whether you like it or not.

Hell yeah brother, I have been saying make that truck a monster. Now it will be awd as well? OH HELL YEAH!

The more we see it the better cool to see anything related to dale

I know you guys have a lot of money and time tied up in projects right now, but I feel like I speak for most when I say it would be cool to see another shop build off. Like you and George, tye and zach, and James and Sam competing like the boats challenge back in the day.

3300 with driver is my initial guess. Now, Tye could go completely ham with cutting it up and get it crazy light, but it will take a while to do it.

Awesome can't wait to see it rip. I still think having another channel dedicated to the fabrication work in the work shop would be good I miss the old days off see alot off the fabrication would be awesome to see more off Zack and Ty work their magic 😊

I couldn't much care less about what it is, an AWD twin turbo street truck sounds like a LOT of fun!!! Can wait to see this build progress!

Some very cool builds at McFarland Racing. Leroy gets some skin. McFlurry goes fast. A titanium 5 second car to replace Mullet. And a very fast 4x4 drag truck. Whew!

Now that toast is toast.. the Dale truck may just be my favorite in the fleet. Bring it back with some class, brother. Do it for Dale!

Looking forward to seeing this one go. Down here in Aus, back in the day at least, it was an uncomfortable fact for Holden (GM) guys, that a Ford nine inch was the way to go for a diff. They just made bullet proof drive lines. Actually we also used a Ford steel crank when modifying Holden in-line 6's as well.

Ford front differential is the best thing to put in that buggy. Nearly indestructible and if you do need a part, go right to the Autozone or the dealership or a boneyard and fix her right up.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought "sick, freaking Nascar megatruck" and then after watching I'm like "sick, freaking awd Nascar truck". Jokes aside, don't worry about what some people say. The majority of us appreciate what you do and what you bring to the channel.

Cleetus I know you guys have to know what ever gears are in the front, the gears have to be the same in the rear end . The exact same gears have to go in the front & back pumpkins. But I hope you know that. I can't wait to see this go down the track. Love you guys man you guys are awesome.

Dale was a car/truck guy. Your doing cool things with this truck and updating/modernizing it. Not using it is probably the worst transgression. I don't see any way he would be upset about this and anyone that would be upset needs to re-evaluate whats important in life. Looking forward to the build as always.

Coolest idea going forward with the Dale truck, like George said your saving its life and its not rotting in the corner. Besides if Dale had a soul and could talk he'd probably say spending my days out on track in front of thousands and viewed by millions would be better than parked in a corner, even if there's a chance of going out in a blaze of glory.
