damn you beat me to the joke was gonna say make sure you get the caitlyn jenner fluid fotr that gender neutral gear box. but another form of advise make sure next time someone asks for a certain size you have them specify if its real inches or peen inches itll save you from making multiple trips

Spicer 135 axel's 513 gears ,3000 series Allison 6 speed manual shift after you blow the motor a 653ta Detroit and and strong back the frame --- Boyce has mrap axel's and OEM has two other gear sets too.

Would recommend saying screw it and trussing the diffs with 4 link suspension. You'll love the build and be able to take the truck anywhere. Man I miss my superduity...

I had a 7.3 on 40s let’s just say I went through 3 learning transmissions and that gets really expensive 😂 word of advice get a billet converter and upgraded clutch plates with a shift kit. Also definitely re gear it’s gonna give more life to the transmission. Don’t spend 10k on transmissions like me hahaha

Still watching because I love the 53" tires. I'd like to run 37"-40" tires on my RCLB 6.0 some day. Anyway, I was totally with you until this point good sir. A single stack roughly the same diameter that's coming off the turbo should be sufficient ;)

Had an 01 f;350. First time I took it to the mts. creeping down a big hill, granny went out. Boss loaned his truck f2-50 same problem in 3 days. I don't think something gets oil on a steep downhill. Even the great C-6 had birth defects. Lol

My buddies boss has a 6.0 he bought new, still pulls trailers, no problems. He's older so he's not out playing tuner I know the first two, possibly third year of the 6.0 was total shit.

The Dana super 60 front thats under the f450 and f550 is not that big of a upgrade. and the Dana S 110 rear is equal to a Dana 80 but for the money to get them I think just moving up to some military axles would be better for us. We could pick some up out of a MRAP or a LMTV for a decent price.

Possible idea: Could have cut a slot into the ceiling and just run the taller lift up into the slot. Wouldn’t give you and more lift height in a vehicle but would have allowed room for a 12k pound lift.

Definitely need to regear the diffs. I didn't when I first built my truck and with less than 50k on it, I totally melted down the tranny.

Get a hydro assist ram to save your steering box and sector shaft.

Yea I would definitely throw some shorter gears in the diffs if you can I don’t know what it’s running now but some 4.11’s or something super short might benefit your low end torque more! Love the build tho this is something me and my buddy’s would totally do if we had some money to spare. Keep up the good work man!

I run 5.38s on 40s u better get into the deep 6s lol. 5.38s on 40s is about stock geari g

beast, the gearbox would have been old and would have been abused and used from towing heavy over the years. The huge tyres wouldn't effect the transmission at all as it's made to tow heavy trailers.

I'm surprised the axels have not broken ..yet if seen them go with 40s.stacks look really good

When building the trans, don't forget to upgrade the pan!!! Use the 6.4 (08-10) pan, gasket, and filter, it holds 2 more quarts, and when you see the new filter you'll understand!! 6.0❤️👊

Those diffs need to have the largest gear you can fit in them with those 54s or you will never keep a transmission in the truck. Personally I would be looking at putting some 2.5 ton military axles under the truck. The back seat riders wont like those stacks as they drone in the back seat.

Welcome aboard AO2. I'm a desert squid myself. HM2 and spent my time with the Marine Corps in Iraq and Afghanistan. That's very good advice on the drilling a hole in the pipe to give your teeth something to get a bite on. I will start using that trick.

I am guessing after the new tranny is in the next thing to break is the Axle or rears..

camera doesn't hold its self, video editing doesn't magicaly happen, and someone has to do all the behinds the work including this responce. We are a team. Adam is the Mechanic and fabicator. I'm the owner, operator, camera, editor, social media rep, parts running, responcible for lining up the jobs, paying the bills and everything else that needs to be done. But i understand your only seeing it from a single point of view that I show because all that other stuff is boring and not good content. So its very much "we" stuff.

Get rid of those huge ridiculous 54s and put be locked 42s on it

Stupid duty! I used tp have dual 6 inch stacks in my truck, absolutely loved it but once I started working on my house house had to go to fit 8 ft sheets, I've almost replaced them many times
