F10 and F12 had the sweetest clutch. When I first drove one it was so different to anything I'd ever been in before.

Blimey small world - I was born in Kidlington (a VERY long time ago) and we lived in The Moors near the Borstal. Went to school at Begbroke and then we moved to Oxford when I was 11. Mum did return after dad died and lived in Yarnton Road. And I agree its always good to see some well used abandoned trucks get restored and used again. I ran a couple of F12s and they were great trucks.

hi becy was wondering how the progress of the F10s are going ,grew up es a child watching my father and brothers driving lorries of the day .sadly didnt follow my fatherrs footsteps as a wagon driver ,went into engineering ,but love the old wagons of the road .

If the engine wasn’t knackered beforehand, then being a F10 it’ll start after a bit of work.

This will be interesting to follow and it is becoming apparent already that you have an actual plan to deliver this restoration …👍👍👍 On a side note those two old trucks seem to look a lot worse than they actually are…I am hanging out to see what they will look like after some water blasting etc. 😎

All the old beasts look like scrap.....only coz they have done there work and......well. Would love to see how many new lorry's today are been restored in 40+ yrs time. In a sad way a old pal of mine (passed on sadly) would of loved that Volvo, he would of ripped it to bits bolt by nut.....and rebuilt it with only the nuts n bolt that would of chucked in his bucket..... Old school...chap, loads of banter, but very good with lorry's. Hay wish you all the best with the huge adventure ahead.

First things first "NOTGONNA LIE" i think becci is rubbing off on liam there lol, COFFEE IS ALWAYS the first order of the day, glad to see liam has got his priorities right on the job, coffe first then recovery unload and to say the F10's have been sitting around fopr 15+ years they are stillin pretty good nick, though, as seen alot worse sitting in a yard for that amount of time, good luck with the resto, and look forward to seeing in the vids and pics on facebook

Confused as to why you didnt put the 4X2 on backwards so you could get it further down the trailer, then have them cab to cab, possibly eliminating the huge overhang? I'm not a revovery op, just seems far more logical.

Because both back wheels on the 4x2 were locked solid and would have slid off the trailer if it even got up on the trailer

Yeah it looks a fun project but their scrap I just saw the state of all the lorries at Shirley’s yard I know where it is cuz I use to live in swynnerton not far from it ! All the nice scanias they have etc why do they keep all this scrap

We haven’t decided yet. We will either sell it or keep it. It’s a long way off yet so we have a lot of time to decide

15:53 LOL smashed the F10 into the ramp and destroyed the bumper and headlights. That F10 will never see the road again. It's way too far gone. Both working full-time too so there'll be no time to fix it up and restorations always take 100x as long as you think. They'll have a tinker with it a couple of times, realise they've bitten off more than they can chew, and it'll get dumped back in the corner of the yard and left to continue rotting. The boyfriend has already lost his sh it with her over it anyway and they haven't even started it yet lol.

Think you should of stayed at home,all you done is whinge you are cold,not well.

Liam is a bit of a misery guts..!!!!!
