I am curious to know where all the wood comes to fire all those barbecues , roasting and pizza cooking in Trinidad! Does the govt ensure sustainable tree planting specifically grown for cooking and do they have a stiff penalty, to deter the cutting down of trees for cooking? If this is not the case Trinidad would be in serious trouble . Already their are barren areas and top soil erosion in many parts of the country. Increasing flooding, increasing heating up of our climate, increase pollution, hardship caused by lack of fresh clean water and the disappearance of all our wild life. All because of tree and shrubs depletion in Trinidad and Tobago.

We need celebrity chiefs, tv & radio personalities and every person in the public eye, to remind the citizens of T&T to act responsibly, to keep Trinidad green, productive and provide clean air. Trees act as our lungs and clean the air; they provide our oxygen, keep our land from flooding, provide food, gives shade and cool the environment, are essential for our wildlife including birds. Trees are essential to stave of global warming etc. We are an island and with diminishing trees we are doomed.
