He makes great opportunities for goals to happen. He's "not selfish" if that makes sense(?) (Sorry for my lack of a better word.) He can see when there's another player with a better position to score and chose to give them the ball.

Defo player of the season but don't get to dumb loving, a lot of his passes were atrocious in this game. Gave the ball away on quite a few occasions.
Give Fred some credit guys, everyone was trashing him before when he made a few mistakes, but he became really solid in the back and dangerous in the front, I am so glad to see that

He is still wasteful and bang below average. Thanks to players like Casemiro, Varane and Martinez in the back, such players seem to perform beyond their skills. Also, having a system and tactics help. Going forward, if Man Utd wants to challenge for major titles, he has to be replaced. Maybe keep him around as a third choice, coming in as a sub to give the first team players some much needed rest.

Agreed. Fred is a fantastic squad player and certainly not 'below average' as the bloke above suggests... His stats definitely say otherwise, he scores more than most midfielders and has nullifed top midfielders on several occassions, he gives his all and works his socks off contributing on offence and defence.. That;s more than enough for most fans.

all 3 goals had a role from Weghorst, the first one he made the opposing defender head into his own goal, the second shot from him was blocked and fell right at Garnacho feet, and the last one was the result of his hard work pressing against the opponent so Fred could get the ball

The Garnacho goal was special live; but I swear it gets better with every watching. The control, the check, the perfect weight, curl and position. The way his first touch set the ball up not only perfectly to strike it, but making it blind to the gk. Great goal.
