Girl, you're not complaining or anything like that at all! The KZread algorithm has gone all kinds of crazy in recent years and it sucks that it's effecting your channel so much. You're one of my must watch channels each week and I really hope you're able to improve your stats for peace of mind for you and your family and so people like myself can keep enjoying your content! Your channel has been so comforting and encouraging since becoming a mom a couple years ago and I so appreciate all the hard work you've put into it.

You’re not a failure at all Meg, and certainly don’t need to try and excuse this as a “first world problem”. Sorry you’re experiencing this stress, and I hope that it gets resolved for you and your family! If it’s any consolation, I’m sure I don’t speak for just myself here, I hate short form content and actively try to avoid it, and much prefer to watch long form and feel connected to the people I allow my time to online. Your content is so cosy and wholesome ❤

One of my subscribers brought me here because I opened up about the same struggles in my video yesterday! And she mentioned the shorts vs long form to me that you mentioned. Thank you for this 🩷 I’m hoping I can somehow fix my algorithm as well. Hope things get better for you! It’s so stressful when things start tanking 😅

Megan, I just subscribed. I have no reason to - I have no kids and am old enough to be your great grandmother. LOL But I want you to succeed, because you are so down-to-earth, and so genuine, and so creative, and so talented. You really are a step up from most mom vlogs, because your mind is always busy and you're always growing. You're so valuable in this silly vlog world. So... well there you go. Your kids are lovely, your family is lovely - I watch for the creative approach to homemaking. Best of good fortune, chin up, life is boring if nothing is ever challenging or hard. (I love Pride and Prejudice. LOL - have you watched the newer BBC version of Sense of Sensibility - (2008); it's excellent.) Also, for the record, I find shorts a bit annoying - although I watch them I often feel cheated or cut off or unsatisfied. I respect the long content more as a viewer, and I enjoy the longer form more for sure.

Hellz yes to a mud kitchen diy video. I am so in love with the idea and want to file it away for next summer for my son. I’m actually so glad you brought this up. I have a few vloggers I love who post in the mornings when I’m deep in the morning grind with my little and don’t typically get to watching until his naps. Now that I know this I’m going to start letting those videos play when they pop up and circle back to truly watch them when I have the time.

I loved your vulnerability when talking about KZread and how much it has changed it's algorithm. It's really hard to see progress fluctuate especially when you have a little family to support. Being with my kids is soo important to me in these early years and I would be feeling/have felt the exact same way. I'm excited to see your channel evolve and to continue to support your family! Also I love and appreciate your humbleness too. I truly think that is what sets you apart from a lot of creators. So many forget what real life is like, what real financial struggle can feel like. Not being able to buy the first thing you see, but having to really look at prices and penny pinch. I would love to see a video on how you balance writing and motherhood. Love your videos! I grew up on the Plateau and love watching your content for the nostalgia and because I am a new mom too! I remember having a legit mud kitchen my parents built us when I was a kid and I would love to see a full video documenting that project!

I never watch shorts on YT because that’s what TikTok is for in my eyes lol so I’m bummed that creators get ‘punished’ for posting extra content whether it’s long or short form. But I am a somewhat new subscriber I’d say within the last six months & I love your content! I do miss seeing the videos with the kids but totally respect what you wanna do!
