We need to talk…much needed Q&A!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

We need to talk…much needed Q&A! Today I'm giving a big update regarding my ongoing teeth/dental nightmare and my recent scan results. I'm also answering questions about our new house (also giving a sneak peek at the inside & outside), Josh/marriage, my assistant Katie, my KZread channel, health, etc.
Below is my Implant Specialist/Oral Surgeon...I wanted to share his info in case you have issues like me. He is the best and I am so thankful for him!!! Dr. Sam uses CERAMIC implants which are far superior and healthier than titanium metal implants. I am fully paying 100% of the cost of all of my procedures...I am not mentioning or recommending him to get reimbursement or free treatments.

    Hi, PhD physicist here! Microwave ovens are basically radios that vibrate water molecules to increase their temperature. The only things high levels of (unshielded) microwaves can do to you is burn your skin or give you cataracts (messing with the fluid in your eyes). Microwaves are non-ionizing radiation so they cannot cause cancer or penetrate your skin like UV rays from the sun can. When you measure EMF from your laptop or your phone you're pretty much measuring how much heat and light they give off with use. Heat and light (infrared and visible EM radiation) are also non-ionizing. Electromagnetic fields are naturally occurring throughout the whole radiation spectrum so I would not be too afraid of them!

  • @clamorbergen

    @clamorbergen

    Microwaves in your microwave oven are contained via the shielding of the door/ sides of the microwave. Also, its true that laptops use can reduce sperm count, etc but that's due to the prolonged heat. Hot showers do the same thing. The light from screens can also mess with your circadian rhythm but that's due to their artificiality, not the type of radiation itself.

    Yep. I'm open about my weak gums and dental implants. My mom got dentures in her late 40s because she just didn't want to deal with her real teeth anymore. I'm trying to avoid dentures for as long as possible, but implants are expensive. Got 3 so far. May do 2 more for now.

    I appreciate your generosity and compassion! My sister-in-law went through a grueling process of getting 4 implants. She ended up also having to get a bone graft. It really did take almost a year to go through. She had so much pain, couldn't eat any solid foods, and lost about 50 lbs! Not a good way to do it! And SOOOO expensive! Love your videos. Keep it up. Wishing you well for the rest of your journey❤

    My husband went through something similar with his dental health, and it was a long process of at least a year, and you can’t rush it. I know this is silly, but my twelve year old doxie had a teeth cleaning today where they pulled a couple of his bottom teeth. After bringing him home he kept whimpering like he was hurting. Thankfully I had a pain pill left from a previous issue and they said I could give to him. He’s much better now. Love.

    Hi Shea, love you! Just wanted to point out that the microwave does not remove nutrients from your food. It’s the equivalent of when you steam your veggies. Boiling and baking in the oven are worst. Because microwaves take less time to cook there is less damage. Just a fun fact.

    That house is an absolute dream!!! My kitchen was the same I thought it would look weird without the microwave but once I got rid of it it was the best decision because you just have to find other ways to heat food without it. I store my chopping blocks in the spot now I’m sure you’ll find a use for it.

    Thanks for the catch-up Shea! Glad your teeth journey is going well. It takes soooo long!! (Been there, done that with the top teeth - beginning 10 years ago. Now I’m having similar issues with bottom so I’m about to start all over again. But at least I know what to expect and your video was a kind reminder to be patient and not stress. …easier said than done but with a lot of prayer, I’ll get through it. I love that your success allows you to be so generous. Wishing you all the best because you’re you but also because you help so many others!!

    I can relate to the long term effects this has. I went through two years of medical hell and my teeth suffered horribly and now require extensive work on my teeth but have to pinch Pennie’s being on disability (for said medical hell). Affording it and finding time for it is so hard and you do deserve the recognition for what you’ve done you’re an incredible human and many are grateful for you ❤️

    Glad to hear that your teeth are healing and you are feeling better! I have teeth that need work done but we can't afford it. I have had 3 teeth pulled and wasn't able to get implants. I have a crown that has needed redone for almost 2 years and another crown that has cavities under it that needs fixed. Without insurance, it's just impossible. I wish our health care system was better and more affordable! Your cabin is beautiful!!

    Thank you for posting about your teeth. I have bad teeth due to genetics and health issues, and need to get an implant on my front top canine but I’m terrified. I’ve had negative dental experiences as a child. Watching your videos helped answer some questions. Just praying I can save up the funds and make it through the process before my tooth needs to be removed.

    Congrats Shea and Josh ion 15 years. Thank you for sharing your teeth journey. I’ve had problems with my teeth since childhood. I’m currently missing 4 teeth and need to get 3 more removed. I’ve been so scared that I’m waiting as long as possible. I haven’t been able to go to the dentist in a while. I’m hoping to get enough courage to go soon.

I have been wearing a flipper/retainer for the missing tooth! Good luck with your journey. My implant surgery is scheduled for May 1st. Hopefully it will not be super painful!!! Love your content!!!

    Hello from Pittsburgh! Thank you for sharing your teeth journey. I too struggle with my teeth and your vulnerability helps me to feel not so alone! Also, congratulations on your cabin.
