Honestly good for you for promoting no money spent. Let people know they don’t have to spend real money and just enjoy the game. I wish more people would follow your decision and promote it.

People like him for his gameplay more than anything is my guess. Franchise mode isn't the same kinda entertainment.

Nice! Bruins and Bluejackets are my two favorite teams so it was sweet seeing that as the first game.

Nice video, this was my first time watching you, and I liked the gameplay/commentary and your overall attitude as well. I hope that I can have fun on NHL24 this year because I was planning on buying it. No game is perfect but I was hoping it would be fun, lol. Last game I played of NHL was NHL22, I played FIFA23 all of this year! Not much different in terms of changes either but I decided not to get EA's FC 24 and wait until next year to see if it gets better, so I need a new game anyways.

I think this is the last year i'm going to buy the game. I have limited mobility in my hands and they removed NHL 94/hybrid controls for some stupid reason. I also can not stand the sustained pressure system. The faceoffs have been really hard for me to win and it seems like i can not make one goal. The hitting is also really bad. So its been beyond frustrating.

My first year playing HUT for a full season, it's all still new to me

This is a good idea, Nasher! Not just because I am happy that EA is making less money for their shitty effort, but also because it means we'll get the chance to see you use new players, instead of the usual McJesus, MacKinnon, Matthews, etc. It will also make it way more hype when you get good pulls from packs, and it will draw the content out longer, since you won't get the best players as quickly. Also, I can only imagine how shook EA will be to see this. Hopefully their top content creator refusing to spend extra money on the game will encourage them to actually improve the game for once.

Im actually really enjoying the game so far, feels fluid and fun.

I have been a jugé critique of uou over the past couple of weeks/ years, I will try to keep up on HUT. How many you think you'll play per week or months?

I hope I can be free to play this year (with the exception of the free points from the X factor edition). I’ve tried to do it since nhl17 and I find you just need to buy some packs to be competitive, especially when you’re terrible like me. Hopefully the rewards “pay” more this year! Cheers!

You do get the points with the X factor edition yes, however no money spent refers to the duration of the game from launch to the end of the game. Sleeves has stated he’s not using his pre order points, but he doesn’t begrudge anyone that does. You could argue that Nasher is not breaking the rules because he’s not pulling out the credit card to buy the the points to buy packs. So he’s still technically no money spent.

You brought up a good idea without saying it. Their should be two game modes for HUT where one mode is for people who spend money on HUT and the other mode should be for people who just grind, and don’t spend money on HUT. I think that would bring in even more people to the NHL franchise.

Imo i think the deking only feels better bc hitting is so much harder that it makes it easier to maneuver around defenders

I feel that the cellys are a Fortnite styled design choice that takes away from the immersion and authenticity of the sport. They could have done better, like fixing the AI teammates that skate lazily behind you until a brief transition to a cutscene where they now celebrate the goal. So many misses in this game year over year it becomes maddening. Overall, it's a great hockey game... the only hockey game... but they insist on ignoring the nuance of the game itself: No Winter Classic, no All-Star game or comp, no rhyme or reason to injuries (did you know your BAP cannot be injured in their rookie season...?) Zero TV presentation, recycled scorebar, animations, transitions, etc... At best, this game is a patch to NHL 23, or DLC. But, they are without competition, and us hockey lovers buy the damn thing because it's the only offering there is.

“Cross creases don’t work this year” is gonna age badly

I have a question. Why can't i use the right pad for slapshot wristshot like i like playing the game instead of using right stick. I have a disability because of my cancer n it was easier for me.

I honestly have never had the problem of accidentally pressing the joystick down when moving it around, but everyone seems to have the issue

More competition across all sports games would be an improvement. EA having no competition means they do the bare minimum designing new gameplay year to year. Even with the changes this year, NHL is still fundamentally the same game since like 2015.

Where is your xfactor from your team starter pack?

I am getting bad lags sometimes when I start to win or when opponent is in def zone...Is it cheat or what? And it happens only when I'm dealing danger to opponents. I would say it is problem with internet, but no, it is happening with some opponents who after being heated start to comeback fast after this lags. It seems like cheat or something. What I can do about it?

It's a great arcade-style game if that is what you are looking to play, not a simulation experience. You just need to be aware of that going into it.
