He beat the Botez London, but not the legendary Banzea London
"... and get absolutely crushing results against beginner to intermediate players" like eric rosen haha
I can just hear him saying "What to do" at the end.

Two of my favorite IMs playing against each other 🔥🔥💯
Please do a colaboration with Eric, would make me so happy.
Alex Banzea vs Eric Rosen... thank you for finally settling the seemingly eternal battle of who I choose to watch until I fall asleep each night. JOBOVA POWER

Alex, I'm 67 yard old and have been playing chess probably before your parents where born "but" have never played any theory hence my lichess name "I have no theory".So about a year ago I decided to learn some and though I had never watched any of your vids until I came across learn "The Caro Cann" that you have been teaching. I just checked my stats on Lichess and have played over 4k games or over 864 hours I probably won't make it to 10,000 hours and as much as I like Eric it helped keep my faith in you maybe when I hit 70 I will try the Jobaba.

Been waiting for you guys to post a match against each other. Way to pull it out Alex…Jobava London really is unstoppable!
I'd love to see a review of this match with your comments
Absolute legends. You have grown so much as a teacher and personality since your first Jobava rating climb series!

Bought your caro-kann course and i am very pleased with it. I look forward to studiying Jobava course. Have a good day !
Congrats Alex! Great game!
This video should have a lot more views. Amazing work
Well played!!! 🤘
Nice win Alex!!
I remember when I found your channel you had 4-5 thousand followers but now 83k. Well done!
My real problem with Rosen is not resigning ever

Not gonna lie, I make a minor mistake in the opening and I’ll sometimes resign. The funniest is because I’m so bad I’ll have a winning defensive idea, but because I can’t see it I just end up resigning from a winning position

Resigning is like surrendering... and what did Churchill say? "We shall never surrender!"
@CallidusAnguis

If you resign you definitely lose. If you don't resign you might not lose. So it makes sense not to resign.
Im so happy you defended the honor of the Jobava London against Eric. However, if you played that against your cat, you may have been in trouble. Looking forward to some more instructive games with the humor.
Congrats on the win, fun game.
just found your channel due to your scotch gambit video, then saw this. as a fan of eric, it was pretty cool to see that you played him. looking forward to trying that scotch gambit in upcoming games. i was an english player for a long time and even drew a GM with it in a simul, but after 14 years of alcoholism tanking my rating, gotta go back to e4 lol. i enjoy your sarcasm
Nice win!
Great game!
I remember that wobbly chess game. Andrea played a dubious line against Rosen IIRC
Chess boxing game featuring Alex? I would die to watch it 😂
What a title lol
Two of the best chess content creators. I’m not crying, you’re crying
Alex do you have any plans to go for the GM title?
when is ur jobava london course coming out?
why wont you explain this game in the same video?
you're my hero 💪
Woah, nice looking setup! Perfectly matches your style and personality as a chess coach and author :)
Eric: Stop ur hurting me!
2 Fav Chess KZreadrs, awesome game, defo gonna look into the Jobava more so
well, i gotta start learning jobava london.. i think
I use the sacrifice you previously showed to use a night to take a pawn on H5 and open up the king’s defenses. It worked perfectly! I beat my highest ranked opponent yet! Thanks very much.
You have the best chess videos Alex! I was wondering: your standard London course or the Jobava London?
Alex, you had Re2 winning the queen after Bd3, Bb5. You took bishop b5 instead of Re2. But the game was great, congratulations.
I am here since you had about 4K followers. Banzea Ultras
Can you do more vids on the accelerated dragon please wise teacher.
So glad the title was clickbait because Eric is the nicest guy in chess
how did i miss this one.. jobava expert vs stafford connoissuer
Is the titles emphasis on “problem” or “My” ?
Nice to see Rosen following his own advice: try to stalemate. Kudos on the win!!
Nice job making Eyebrow Rosen eat his own words. I'm curious if you could repeat that in a longer format.
nice game. I been playing this jobava london for the last week and I'm winning most games.
You are both my favourite players to watch online :)
Hikaru also hates the london system let's see a match against him with the Jobava😂

Sir please make a video on Nimzo Indian defence 😊❤ .
Awesome game
Thumbs up, and here we go!
I would love to see this from Eric’s perspective.
Sweet !

I'm really satisfied you beat Rosen. Your strategy was so refined. Pur și simplu l-ai mâncat ca untul uns pe pâine. Ești printre puținele persoane care mă fac mândru că sunt român.

Rosen actually really for real went for the stalemate with the king walk to b1😂.. i can now die in peace seeing the rosen stalemate failed for once
Congrats
Oh no my Rook! 😅
such violence
Congratulations Alex! Eric is one of my favorite KZreadrs.
I cant get from 400-2000,without losing, but I can easily get from 1600-2000,without losing,in 4-6 games, did it several times, and most of the time I use your Jobava london, with white
5:15 and he will try some stalemate Hahaha
Hi Alex, really nice video as always, I missed a little bit the post analisis showing us what to do in theory against this line, seems very tricky for white and that night jump that you played for doesnt seem easy to find for 1000-1300 players as us. I think I never saw this line in your rating climbs. The begginig with the bishop landing on G4 wich u say is losing is in some videos but they dont continue like Eric did...Cheers and keep on the good job. We love your work

They only play this line above 2000 elo! I was joking when I said it’s losing, it’s actually pretty annoying.

@@AlexBanzea Wow, that was fast, as my GF says....I guess we almost never face that line, maybe because of that is not on the rating climb, I guess I just spend too much time leaning this pro lines that are barely played...tnx alex
Sunt un admirator a lui Eric Rosen și a lui GingerGM sau probabil că am fost :) Felicitări!
Nice game
As said in Spider Man: With great clickbait comes great boycotting.
6:20 Hahaha
this was greta, kindly play jobova, vienna and caro-kann only against the streaming chess giants and make a long video with many games, very instructive. my ELO has improved dramatically since i started watching your videos and nowadays no one scares me at all. you gifted me with a formidable armamentarium.
"I dueled with Eric Rosen" or something might get more clicks? Then again, what the hell do i know?
Can someone explain @ 4:41 why doesn't Black take the Queen with the pawn?

it was a premove, so the h6-pawn dissapears if the queen lands on g5.

What's with 49.Kf3 instead of mate? Humiliation? Lol

Waaa You so cute, esp at the end. The moustache! (Yeah, you have viewers who are women too!) (also, excellent chessing, I feel bad for Eric )

Clickbait. But in this rare case I don't mind. Eric is a cool and funny guy. And he will beat you the next time:-)
