Liverpool have signed a man that could end up breaking their transfer record. A Uruguayan striker that will certainly shake their attack up quite a bit.
There's no way of telling how he will eventually fair, but what we can do in the meantime is look into the past to attempt to predict the future.

We went from : - Salah Firmino and Mane at first - Salah , Jota-Firmino-Mane either rotating or sometimes the 4 of them - Luis Diaz , Salah and Mane , no CF or ST but the speed and talent is immaculate - Now it’s either Luis Diaz , Salah and either Darwin/Firmino/Jota. Liverpool is one of those teams that can rotate and their players can play on different positions to compensate

Nunez adds strength, height and depth to our attack. We have lacked a big traditional no.9 for quite some time so it’s a great signing and he’s already adapting to our squad so things are looking wonderful. Klopp has also proven Liverpool can play with 4 forwards. When adding Shaqiri or Origi to the mix, usually in a 4-2-3-1 with Firmino as the 10.
I'm confident he'll be fine, I just hope he doesn't miss an open chance in an important UCL game. He is still younger and he might not handle the pressure as well as the world-class veteran Sadio Mane.

Feels like he's going to fit into a niche sorely needed at Liverpool; a finisher inside the box. A non-flashy, scrappy goal scorer in the box, a dangerous runner in open play. Bro, I love you and how much Liverpool content you’re doing lately (no specific reason at all for that). I know it’s gonna end but as per usual, keep up the unreal work you absolute mad man
For now in October 2022, this has not aged well.
I'm a Benfica fan with a season pass for years and I've had the pleasure of watching him plays dozens of home matches. Interestingly, Liverpool is my 2nd club, so this has been a very bittersweet transfer for me. All I can say is that he fits Liverpool's playing style like a glove. I expect Liverpool to play a 4-2-3-1 often now, but we'll see. Only time will tell if he makes good on his price tag, but I think he will. Regardless of my being a fan of Liverpool, I really want to see him do well because he is just an absolute joy to watch. He has so much fighting spirit and sheer force of will, constantly running with or after the ball, he's not selfish... He doesn't have the flair or technical ability of someone like Salah or Diaz or even Firmino, but he is like a bull on the pitch. My one gripe with him, that I hope the coaching staff at LFC remove from his game, is his tendency to dive. It really doesn't suit a player of his size and I think it serves him wrong more often than not.

Great content as usual. I don’t support an EPL team but from what I see you’re always objective and reasoned. As far as being a ‘modern number 9’ ... in these times of false 9’s, drifting wide, interchanging forward lines etc (not a criticism) for this old fella he’s actually a throwback to an old-fashioned CF, a skilled one of course. A wee bit of variety. Teams and systems evolve, they have to. Anyway, I’m looking forward to watching him, and Haaland for that matter, play 😎

I really wonder how Nunez is gna fit into Liverpool's way of playing. Firmino and Mane (when he played centrally) both dropped back and created play rather than making runs into the box as a target for through balls. When we signed jota, it was an interesting signing and he certainly scored the goals, but he didn't connect the attack like firmino or Mane. The attack always looked a bit disjointed with Jota as the number nine. Nunez just seems like Jota Pro or Jota Max. Obviously as a Liverpool fan i hope he scores a shit ton of goals for a decade or more, but it's an intriguing signing. YNWA.

It's less about how good Darwin is and more about how good he makes Liverpool. When seeing the sum of whole rather than the individual players (Darwin, Salah, Firmino, Diaz and Djota) it becomes exciting for LFC fans and perhaps terrifying for opponents. With these forward options, Klopp can use multiple iterations of 4-3-3 and even shift to 4-2-3-1 (especially when also including Elliot and Carvalho). With 5 subs being introduced, it will be difficult for opponents to prepare for Liverpool games. And Liverpool can adapt in-game to their opponents setup.
Love your narration voice bro. You deserve a subscribe

Funny I was literally in the middle of watching your Lewangoalski video
Yessss mans is back
I’m gutted he’s missing the match at old Trafford, not saying he was going to wipe the floor with them but because he’s a decent physical threat up front, something that Liverpool have not had since Torres. Once things click for Liverpool it will be a handful for defenders to monitor Salah, Nunez and Diaz because they are all dangerous in different ways.
Aside from great content. You've got a great voice.
What top class channel 💪🏽
Darwin plays MUCH different than Firmino. Darwin plays runs into, from the top of, the box. Very different than Firmino who plays as “almost” a 10. More of a set up man. Darwin will occupy a lot of that space where Diaz makes runs into. Diaz will be forced deeper and into the Firmino role. Darwin will become an amazing striker. What I, as an LFC fan, would absolutely LOVE to see is Firmino dropping back to midfield 3, on rotation with Replacing Keita. Thiago, Fabinho, Firmino in midfield would be scary!
@heavymetal116

Plus he has very good pace, though it doesn't seem like it. He clocked his top sprint speed of 34 kmph. He just takes some time to reach his top speed but given some space to run in, imagine the nightmare for defenders, a physical beast running at pace towards them.
Objectively, I think Nunez is a player that comes with drawbacks but if his obvious strengths are played to, then he will be a really dangerous player for Liverpool. With the chances their system creates, the heavy use of crosses into the box I can only see him doing well. Plus Klopp is great at knowing how to use his attackers in an effective manager.

At 4:28, the video shows the bald eagel mascot of S.L. Benfica. I am curious as to how Benfica managed to get hold of a bald eagle - anybody know? The bald eagle was made the national symbol of the United States in 1782, and since 1940, when Congress passed the Bald Eagle Protection Act it is illegal to take, own, sell, or keep captive a bald eagle, or its eggs, or any part of the bird, especially its feathers (only the native Indian tribes are allowed to legally keep possession of bald eagle feathers, in accordance with their traditions) within the United States. You have to have special Federal certification to even handle the birds in rescue/rehabilitation situations. I'm guessing somebody captured and sold these bald eagles from either Canada or Mexico, where the bald eagles can also be found. Anybody know where these bald eagles came from? Golden Eagles were also added to the Protection Act in 1962. The other weird thing about Benfica is the club motto - E pluribus unum, a motto which has been in the Great Seal of the United States together with the emblem of the bald eagle since 1782 also. Since S. L. Benfica began its existence in 1904, I can only guess that whoever started the club was an admirer of the United States, or at the very least, its national symbols.
I'd love to see a 442 with Nuñez and Jota on top! Both are great threats going forward!

Nunez has more than a touch of Torres about him.... he is going to be a real handful for any teams defence.
He will score...but I feel like Klopp will start him as sub against low blocking teams. He need time to get his stamina up to par with his PL ready team mate......and to avoid too many injuries against PL defenders...eventually he will start more. 5 subs rule will play a part in squad rotation.....by signing Jota to a new long contract, Liverpool reassured and locked in their front line for a good couple of years.

If all first choice forwards Salah,Nunez, Diaz,Jota & Firmino stay fit all will play upwards of 2/3 of all games the role of 5 subs will be important and has been understated. I believe Jota will play centrally and each of Nunez,Jota and Firmino all over a different playing style and options for LFC
I honestly believe (and after seeing him scoring his first goal not long ago), I think Liverpool got the services of one of the best forwards of the moment. He'll perform good there. Specially cause Liverpool has a really good collective game.
People are so concerned about his Liverpool paid price tag. Lots factors into that. His age, trajectory/potential top form, forwards cost more, no buyout clause price point and what kind of team purchasing him. Mainly he's like a number one draft pick in the off-season and Carvalho is like a late first round pick.
