I love that they have a "Relaxed Performance" option, so that audience members who aren't fans of the flashy special effects or set design can still enjoy the story and performances.

I haven't made one for this show yet, but I've been slowly working through Broadway shows and making public access reviews (on insta and my website) listing the location of every potential lighting/sound trigger and content warning if that's at all helpful for folks who need it!

they did another huge attention to detail thing. while the delorean is covered by the tarp, the rain sounds like it's hitting a tarp, but once he takes it off, the sound changes to rain hitting a metal hood.
Hey! Small note about the trombone building. It actually operated as a COVID testing site for Broadway personnel once theaters reopened, as many shows required negative tests before entering the building for show call. There were a few around Times Square, but trombone building had the nicest clientele, free starbursts, and was well-hidden given most tourists assumed it was nothing more than an extension of the Winter Garden.

I'm all about the story and how much impact it has. This guy and you shoukd definitely check out SpongeBob Squarepants, Pride and Prejudice and Wonka which I know it's a movie but it's a musical which I hope it counts. With that said I will watch this and see if it's just as good as the movie.
After seeing Bart as Doc, I realized how much he pulled from his performance in Young Frankenstein which works perfectly for those two adaptations.
@katecastreviews4639

I know right??? As soon as I saw he was cast as Doc i was like "Oh. This is perfect! 'Cause he did this before with an iconic scientist character, played by a legendary actor who is impossible to match up to. And he rose to the challenge by making it his own instead of trying to compete with what came before amazingly." I saw Roger Bart in Young Frankenstein back in 2009, and I hope I get the chance to see him in this.

When I was a kid, I collected pins. What I did was have a dedicated hat that I put them all on. If you wanna put them all on an article of clothing, I would suggest something something easy to put pins, thick so all the pins hold, and double lined if you wanna wear them(so you don't get stabbed).

I think there's something to be said for big spectacle shows that distract, as well as smaller, more intimate ones that speak to you. The problem with shows like Hadestown and even Shucked is that on a very basic level the problems in these stories are relatable. Sometimes that kind of realness is comforting and moving, and sometimes when you're having a rough time, it's overwhelming. I think the past 3 years alone have left a lot of people too overwhelmed with relatable. Even if the problems in a big spectacle show are relatable in theory, with everything being so bombastic they don't FEEL like they are as much. Which makes them a lot more of an escape. Which I think a lot of people are craving right now.
Here in the UK, we saw this in London and it was absolutely amazing. From start to finish it was just very engaging and energetic. This is one of the best musicals we've seen for a long time. I had my doubts because the film is so iconic, but we can't recommend this show enough. They pulled it off big-time. Brilliant songs and great performances. The actors were great and the set changes were just very clever, with precise timing. The guy who played Doc was very funny and the crowd loved him. George could have walked straight out of the movie onto the stage. There were some great ad-libs too. I don't think this review truly reflects our experience at all, despite some good reflections. After our performance, the crowd were cheering, singing and begging for more. The 12 minute standing ovation said it all. There were even tears of joy from some. Amazing buzz from the audience and a real electric atmosphere. It's won many awards over here and rightly so. 👏👏👏

I am a pin collector as well. I bought a couple shadow box frames and then stuck the back of the pins through the foamy backing, then you also have a nice dust free casing for the display. And I have seen a few books on the market with fabric pages specifically for pin collecting. Good luck!!!
pin collecting: for enamel pins and the like, a pin board (literally a corkboard, piece of cardboard, etc, sometimes covered with cloth and framed, if you like) works. For badges like your opening night pin, something like a simple piece of cloth with a wood dowel on either end (read: Tapestry/Wall Scroll if you're bougee) on the wall works too. You can also use any spare bit of cloth stretched over an embroidery hoop if you want to display your pins by genre/subcollections, since hoops tend to be on the smallish side.

Sometimes Pins that we've collected years ago can also be inserted or stored in bins/tots, much like how you would with olympic medals and such.
I particularly liked your comment about this show being a social event for fans. It's very much like Rocky Horror in that respect. Seeing fellow fans in cosplay and loving the IP as much as yourself is really heart-warming. I'm a lifelong BTTF fan who is totally satisfied with what Gale, Silvestri, Ballard & co have concocted. I can appreciate that the songs aren't typical of modern theatre, but I like the throwback nature of them. Then there's ROGER BART. Seeing this show twice in the West End turned me from someone who didn't really know who he was to a major fan who now has tickets to see him on Broadway.
i've been a lifelong fan of back to the future, i saw the original west end cast for my 18th birthday, and it was genuinely one of the best theatre experiences of my life! i was fully immersed in this movie that has meant so much to me for so long, that i even started crying a little when the overture started playing! just the feeling of this story and these characters and this music all live right in front of me was so beautiful and something i'll never forget ❤

I think this review sums the show up perfectly!!! The show doesn’t change the world but boy oh boy did I have a fun night! 🎉
This is HIGH on the list of musicals I want to see. Not only because I’m truly obsessed with BTTF to a degree that can’t be described, but also because I love Roger Bart’s singing and the effort to take something so very much not a musical (like, the music in the movie is pretty important but it’s low on the list of movies I would consider for adaptation) and give it the care and attention to make it a true spectacle. I would absolutely FIGHT someone to get into that merch store. My wallet is very grateful I don’t have the opportunity to see it, because I’d literally and unironically walk out with a good 75% of that store.

I haven't finished the video yet but I wanted to say that I would loooove to have more videos like these in between the long docummentaries. As someone that lives across the pond from NY, it's fascinating to see the whole thing like, how you get to the theatre, and the shops, and the merch, and the ambiance. I can barely afford to go to the West End, so this is really a new experience for me, to see the whole thing and have it be like a vlog along with your fantastic insight and review. Thank you for the great work!!
I work as an usher on Broadway and I can confirm that the space which the BTTF Store is now used to be a COVID testing site for front-of-house Broadway employees
I saw this musical in London in June 2022, with someone who hadn't seen the movie, and she absolutely loved, as did I who is a massive fan of the movie. I didn't realise Hugh Coles was cast for the Broadway production, but I'm really happy he was, because in London he really made the role his own, I think he just need some time, as he is still fairly new to the big stage
Glad to see creators talking about this production !!! Saw this on July 11th and I gotta say the energy was there throughout the entire night! The sets got bigger, more complicated, and the ending integrated both digital components and physical with the fantastic clock tower sequence and "roads" scene. It was just a joy! The finale song was honestly a surprise especially when the entire cast joined in as sort of an epilogue. Even with changes from the movie, I don't think not sticking 1-to-1 with the original source material is a bad thing, Beetlejuice executed it beautifully. It was definitely a lot of fun and I can only recommend it to fans of the movie or just fans looking for a good story to experience for the first time.
Saw it in London this summer and it was fantastic! It respects the source material while making it feel like a unique experience through the music, design, and energetic performances

You collect pins the same way scouts collects their badges; With a fashionable sash. Alternatively, you could do it like how Military Generals display their "colours", with rows of them on your heart. Either way, you're proudly saying to the world, "These are the musicals I have seen!"
I went to see the show on the West End in 2022, and it was surprisingly really good! The cast was phenomenal and the special effects were out of this world! Roger Bart stole the show as Doc, I’m so happy he is still playing Doc on Broadway instead of the West End now!
I saw it over a year ago in the west end and really enjoyed it. I think the beginning was a little ropey but every moment the dalorian was on the stage was sooo cool. Roger Bart knocked it out of the park both sides of the pond but im surprised that Hugh Coles wasnt giving as strong a performance as he was one of the best parts of the UK version. This show reignited my love for these movies and i am showing them to all my friends again and getting them to go to the west end version as it was so good
Re: collecting pins, if you have enough you could make an ita bag! It's a bag with a clear plastic covering on one side so you can display your pins inside without them getting scratched up.
I saw it in London when I was over there. The ending so so magical it is hard to put into words. I agree - several songs could be cut (the whole "My Myopia" was stupid to me!); I did like the Act 1 ending sequence as well. But that DeLorean is beyond words!
@sweetlows1

Listening to the album I enjoyed My Myopia, seeing how they did it in the show made me not like it as much. And the reverse is true of Jennifer's "wherever we're going", the leads had good chemistry and made that love song cute and flirty in a way I couldn't get from the song itself.
I loved the show! But I must say, when I saw the intermission icons, I thought that they were sales pitches (not 50s icons): t shirts, candy, beer and wine. All things to buy during intermission. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts!

That's what I thought when I saw it in the west end. They looked like intermission (or interval) things.
Yeah I saw this on July 6th, not knowing that it was new to Broadway. I loved the movies and I love musicals (even though this was my first show on Broadway itself). This was such an immersive experience, I felt like I was in one of my favorite movies of all time and that was unbeatable. And yes the music isn’t necessarily memorable but I do quite enjoy it. And the mix of practical sets and effects with projections was awesome. I love large elaborate sets so it made me happy to see several.

I got to see it on Broadway in previews- probably about a week before the gala performance and they actually had to call a brief hold during the performance right after the big time travel sequence in Act 1. The Delorean was left on stage during one of the set changes. I thought it was so cool to see that those things happen on Broadway too. I personally loved the show!
If you're collecting pins I recommend a corkboard and/or an ita bag. Corkboards are a nice way to display your pins at home, while ita bags are a nice way to show them off when you're out and about (plus you don't have to worry about them getting caught on anything or falling off).
I am so happy you like it so much! BTTF is special to me because it was my father and I's Movie. We'd watch it all the time, even if we knew every single line by heart. Since the musical has been announced in London, I wanted to see it. It fell under my radar until one of the actors started to talk about it as he got cast as Marty's understudy (If I remember correctly?) and I am slowly planning my way into going when I have the money because I do not want to miss it. As for big spectacle show, I truly believe there is a place for smaller, more intimate productions, but personally, I know I have to make Choices. and yes, Big (Good) Shows will probably get my money. If I could and lived close, I'd be there every week and see all the small shows but alas!
I was always on the fence about seeing BTTF in London and, like you, had heard really mixed things about it. But I had so many friends who were big fans of the movie who said I should just go, and I wanted to see it before moving to Ireland. I got lucky with a £25 rush ticket and ended up with a brilliant seat in the stalls. I came away feeling exactly the same as you - it just put a huge smile on my face, and left me feeling a lovely glow. It wasn't groundbreaking in terms of story or music but that finale has to be seen to be believed!
I like both styles of 1 set and multiple sets. Some stories work with many sets but some only work with one set or even an abstract set that can be used in place of multiple sets. Like I couldn’t imagine The Great Comet with multiple sets since it’s a dinner theater but I also couldn’t see Phantom stuck in one room the whole time.
i saw the back to the future musical on broadway in previews and it was so good!!! i went in pretty much completely blind and i absolutely loved it. also hugh coles needs a tony right now. he was so good.
I always tell my piano students before their recitals to nail the beginning, nail the ending, and you’re golden!
I took my grandma to this show while it was still in previews, and she had never seen the movie, and I've seen it a million times over, and we both LOVED it! Great music, really cool effects and sets, strong performances... Overall, just a ton of fun! Not to mention I actually did the thing where, instead of waiting in a long line inside the store or at the merch booth, I scanned the QR code someone was holding on a sign near the merch booth, bought my merch online from the comfort of my seat, and picked it up in the store at the end of the show with no wait time! Awesome show, and especially awesome merch store!
lanyards are good for pins cause u can hang it up to display them or wear it out, but u could also get a pin board for them and display that somewhere were u can easily access them if u do wanna add one or two to an outfit.
fantastic review! I think you captured it perfectly. As a massive fan of the musical, I adored the West End run and I’m sure it’ll run at the Winter Garden for years to come!
I def teared up at the finale. The nostalgia and power of the music was so well crafted. And OMG the effects. Practical and projection with that musical moment *chef’s kiss*
I’ve always said that, while I mainly want to work in movies, I do wanna make some theatre shows in my life. One of my ideas is for an adaptation of Scott Pilgrim which has a ton of spectacle. Most of that spectacle would probably go into the action scenes, I’ve already thought of ways that I’d use a mix of a turntable, digital media, and practical sets in a way to make the action much more dynamic, similar to the Jason Bourne stunt show at Universal Studios.

@@marianahoward5718 Like, there’s so many elements of the story that make it perfect for the stage. I mean, there’s a several month time skip between volumes three and four so that’s the perfect place for a time skip, there’s so many songs in the books already to use as a starting point (I was originally only gonna use songs in the comics and none from the movie for the show but have decided to give an exception to Black Sheep and only Black Sheep because that song has such a deep connection to the IP now).
I had no idea there was a BTTF musical!! It's my favorite movie of all time. Thank you for this great review. I can't wait to see it!
It is heartening to hear a good review for an entertainment product for a change. Enjoyed this much.
Being a huge BTTF fan I saw the musical back to back nights in London and both the first day of previews and opening night on Broadway. Side note I saw myself for second in your video. Haha The energy from the crowd the first night of previews was off the charts! I saw a higher percentage of people dressed as Marty. It felt a lot like a convention. BTTF is my first Broadway experience because BTTF is life. While I can see traditional Broadway fans not liking it, it's bringing people like me in for the first time. I'm already considering seeing other shows, and BTTF again of course. Haha It's a fun show and I think a lot of people are going to see it and love it too!
When you were talking about the "If the beginning and end is good, you'll have a good experience", it's actually a well tested phenomenon known as the serial position effect. It's a combination of the primacy bias, which is that you remember the beginning of a sequence better than the end of it due to having more time to encode it into Long term memory, and the recency bias where it's the most recent information in your Short term memory. So when you say that it's probably a good thing, there's actually a scientific reason why.
I was there that night! I can’t believe I missed you 😢 I loved the show, the finale was incredible and I agree with Huey, with all the bad things you hear about in the world, it’s nice to see a show that makes you happy. Also I collect pins and I put them on a piece of fabric that I hang or on a bulletin board.
It's dumb but great? I saw it in London and had an absolute blast. Going in with low expectations mean you can just enjoy the ride (no pun intended). Roger Bart is deranged in the best way, I'd be SHOCKED if he hadn't improvised several lines in the rehearsal room that they ended up keeping in the book just because of how the humor is SO him. His comfort on stage in London was palpable - the character was absolutely his, as you said. I swear there were a couple moments when he almost broke just because he was being so ridiculous. The last few minutes of that show has a bigger budget than my life and I'm not mad. As a writer, everything is functional, but you're there for the joy and the spectacle 100%. Surprised you didn't mention Biff - he was a standout in London.
How am I just realising that the guy that plays Doc Brown is the same guy who plays Vice Principal Neiro in A Series Of Unfortunate Events
“How do you collect pins?” Is a loaded question 😂 but there are ideas out there. But I will warn you it’ll open up your eyes to a whole new world.
I've seen BTTF twice. I went in the first time not expecting much, although I like the movies, but the spectacle and that tech is why I'm happy to keep going back. I hope at the very least, it gets the nod for Scenic Design because that was absolutely stunning. (And Roger Bart just....the cherry on top.)
There are lots of options for the storage/display of buttons and pins! My favourite is a pin banner, a piece of fabric attached to a dowel with strings that can hang on your wall. I think it'd be a really cool way to decorate the new space and show off your merch.
I remember one of my dad's friends worked on this show years and years ago when it was still super early in development. I really hope it gets a national tour because I would love to be able to see any version of this show because I love the movies and knowing someone who was involved in it makes it even more special!

A tour has been announced for it! (I think it was announced before the broadway production for some reason.) There’s not many cities on the list currently, but I’m sure that list will grow
I was in choir as a young teen and our director once told us that thing about it being okay if the middle was a bit iffy as long as you land the opener and closer and I honestly think it holds true in a lot of performance/entretainment contexts 😂
bro. the pins are for your totes, and dude. i've been waiting to hear "the perfect merch stand" that always lets you down. glad you were blown away! super glad i live upstate. cant wait to see it!
I’m from Denmark and just visited London. I’m a HUGE BttF-fan, and we saw the musical during our stay. I loved it! 🥰 I’ll admit, I’m honestly having a hard time remembering the ORIGINAL songs, but I did like them when they were on 😂 The one Marty sang with his dad, when he had to teach him how to be cool, THAT one stuck out the most (very heartwarming) All in all, I loved the experience, and I’m so glad I saw it 🫶 Thanks for your thoughts. I kinda agree with everything you talked about 🤗
I don't know if it was just the performer I saw in London doing Doc, or a script thing because I haven't seen it come up, but he really hammed up the jokes and would say them multiple times, it started to feel like the groan inducing Genie bits from the Disneyland Aladdin shows. However outside of that it was a fun show! The Delorean is magic, I thought they did a great job with it. (we had a malfunction when it was supposed to crash in to the twin pines mall, it just didn't and they had to reset but otherwise great) I agree they could have cut out some songs, I noticed that almost assault of songs early on and felt like it needed room to breathe at times. But it's worth it for such gems as Pretty Baby, Cake, and those ending songs just being so rock and roll.
Saw it in London last year. The trilogy are my favourite movies, so I was looking forward to it but also knew it had a lot to live up to. In summary: it really, really rocked. The songs are great and the ensemble performance is insanely good. The stage and DeLorean sequences are visually stunning too. But there are many nods to the ‘hardcore’ fanbase as well, and a couple of fourth wall breaks. The ending is spectacular too. I’d actually recommend it to anyone
I saw it last week on the Broadway with my wife, (first time nyc), it was incredible experience. I didn’t know technically those things are possible what they did during the show. I didn’t know a Broadway show will be on my top 3 list in our tip since I dont like musicals and don’t like theatre. The whole experience was unforgettable for us, thanks for the creators!
This is a great production, I saw a preview performance and I also attended the gala night show. So much fun 😊
I saw the show in London a couple months ago and absolutely loved it! It definitely makes the film proud! I’m hoping to see it again in NYC this week!
I saw the West End version of Back to the Future: The Musical in April of 2022 and I loved it so much I watched it again January of this year! I was always a fan of the classic movies so in my mind there was a lot to live up to, but I was blown away by the showmanship of all the actors as well as the amazing sets and songs. I have not been able to see the Broadway version yet but judging by the somewhat shared casts and identical props and sets, I bet it is just as amazing as its London counterpart. And even then, I bet its better, because I noticed in my two viewings that songs and dialogue were being changed in response to critics and audience members. I am so thankful that I got to experience another piece of Back to the Future history in person and I hope this show has a long and healthy run (maybe even someday being able to tour to my hometown)!
I don't think the interval screen icons are for the 1950s... aren't they for "Interval?" T-shirts = merch, Candy = snacks, last two for drinks? I think you're right about the music though. Great detail.
Saw the show in London back in June and absolutely loved it! If it was half the show I saw I’m sure it must have been great!
I got to see this when it was back in Manchester, early 2020 and the set design enthusiast in me is delighted at it sticking to and standing out on that front! Gosh what I'd do to see it again! :D
I’m sure other have answered, but yes! There are specific “books/cases” to collect pins in! Pin collecting was a huge hobby of mine. Has died off over the years though. I still enjoy a great pin though, typically put them on my hats or shoes now-a-days, I would rather show them to the world then be hidden inside a case
Thanks for your insight into the broadway version, I always love your videos but this show in particular is special to me. Back to the Future is my favourite movie, and I have seen this show twice in Manchester and once in London, including the debut Manchester performance. I’m actually from Manchester and I couldn’t believe that the show was kicking off there, I actually had plans to go see it a bunch more times, including with my family until covid ruined those plans, but since then I have enjoyed seeing it rise to more prominence and hearing about the changes made to the show.
Great review - I'm with you - this was an amazing experience in the theatre! One to come back to over and over!
"How do you collect pins?" Well, I can't speak to how other do it. But as for me, I bought a black denim "punk vest" (just a jean jacket with the sleeves cut off) nearly two decades ago and I've been putting pins (and the occasional patch) on it ever since. You'd think I'd have run out of space by now, but I've still been able to find space for my retro enamel smiley face pin as recently as last week. It's a rare thing indeed for me to wear it in public without at least one person complimenting my pins.
Saw it last week on Broadway and it was fantastic. See it for escapism, fun, effects etc. It's like being on a theme park ride for 2 hours.
This is one of my favourite shows EVER. It gets so good with every rewatch, and I hope the broadway one does just as well as the West End!
I got to see it last July and just stumbled across this video. The show was spectacular and mind blowing. I was able to enjoy the show in the moment but then was dissecting how things were done as soon as I was walking to the store!
Thanks for giving your take on the musical. I'm trying to see it this summer at The Kennedy Center in DC. This will be my first time seeing a Musical, or a Play at this level. I'm hoping it'll be my gateway into getting myself to go and see more live shows. I took on acting as a passion in 2020 and am very interested in watching others who have acted longer doing their work live. You're video has me ready to have a good first time musical experience!
Saw it in London last Thursday. Went in a fan of the films with zero idea on how they’d adapt this. And it just worked. I was amazed. I was wondering how they were going to show some of the things, and they did it in ways that were very well thought out in my mind. The lyrics some times going into the themes from Alan Silvestri’s original score made me happy. Definitely looking forward to seeing it again, though I will need to go to NYC or wait until they get a tour to LA.
I saw the musical twice in London in the same week without having seen the movie first. I’m now a HUGE fan and it is the PERFECT gateway musical for returning to live theatre!
I had not seen the movie before I saw the musical. I was just confused about some of the content in the show. hahaha. Can’t wait to see your new studio in full!
It’s fascinating watching this having seen the West End production a few times, especially comparing the scene-setting and merch. At the Adelphi in London the foyer is designed to look like various storefronts (like car mechanics, florists, a Mayor Goldie Wilson sign etc.) so it feels like you’re walking into Hill Valley. Also the upstairs bar is themed after the periodic table and there is a proper clock tower and electricity connectors that you can hold and pose like Doc as a photo opportunity. I saw it’s opening preview in London and have been back a few times since - l love it. The energy of opening preview was insane - Ollie Dobson as Marty got a huge applause when he came onstage after ONE line (as did Doc later). The audience energy was like an electric current, I was legitimately shaking after I left the show. It’s faithful to the movie, but also has fun with knowing it’s a musical. The songs may not be Sondheim but they’re perfect for the show, and while they don’t drive the plot they give you more emotional insight. Also I’m so glad Hugh Coles transferred, he was amazing in London (fun fact: the line addition “I’m your dentist” was an improv he threw in during rehearsal that they kept in)
So, I want to comment on the understudy point you brought up. I went and saw "Back to the Future" for the first time on August 16 @8:00 PM topping a 3 musicals in 2 days thing I did. There was an understudy for Linda, but it didn't affect the show. "Back to the Future" is my 2nd favorite movie of all time (behind "Dirty Dancing" which didn't fare too well as a musical) and I had high hopes going in. I LOVED IT!!! I raved about it on my social media and within a week, I had another ticket for the show, which I went and saw yesterday as a Labor Day Sunday 2:00 matinee. Unfortunately, Roger Bart was out so Merritt David James filled in; he usually plays Principal Strickland. I held out hope that it would work, but it was not up to par. The timing was off. Some of the gags didn't work. Some of the sound effects didn't match up with the actual 'over-the-top' actions. Merritt is also not as vocally strong as Roger Bart is and some of the lyrics were lost. With that being said, the cast made it work; Casey Likes doubled down and really brought his A game to shore up some of the scenes that were just off. I got the sense this was Merritt's first time playing Doc in front of an audience based on the way the cast congratulated him. I looked everywhere to see if this was a planned day off for Roger Bart, but couldn't find anything. Will I go back to see it again? Absofreakinglutely!!! You are correct...the DeLorean is the star of the show. Both times, I got goosebumps with the amazing score as that car roared up, down and around the stage. I will continue to say what I've been saying since I first saw the show...go see it! It's just magical! ❤
I saw BTTF on my birthday while it was in previews & it was 100% the most fun I have ever had while watching a show.
I just want to take a moment to state that Xanadu is both the greatest musical and motion picture ever made I love you Jeff Lynne
im seeeing it tonight in london so excited
You can collect pins by putting them in a lanyard or, there are special backpacks you can buy that is designed for buttons and pins. I guess you could buy pin books too.
I've collected pins for years and I display them on a corkboard, like one you'd use for photos. Works well since it's made for pushpins anyway.
I saw it twice during its brief run in Manchester in early 2020. Another little detail I remember... before the show they were playing an 80s radio news report in the bathrooms. During the interval this had changed to a 1950s broadcast, I think it was a weather report due to the storm. I love little things like this!
I had a period of my life where I collected pins. I put them on a jean jacket that I'd stopped wearing and keep in in my closet, and when I'm in a reminiscing mood I can just pull out the jacket and all the pins are there. Hope that helps!
my mom collected pins. she stuck them to a bulletin board on the wall. You could cover one in fabric (since these seem to be safety pin style and don't go into the cork as well). It would make a cute background element in the studio and secretly doubles as a sound dampener.
I feel absolutely crazy, I've seen this musical 3 times. I was extremely skeptical going in and was fully converted. I highly recommend seeing it.
12:20 idk if this exists in the USA but in the uk you can find Content Warnings sheets online that give detailed descriptions of effects and the approximate time of the use of them
Seeing it in October. I am so excited.
For pin collection, get a canvas to stick them into it may be difficult to secure it because of the style or the fastener but it is the best option in my opinion. You can paint the canvas black or any color really if you don't want white. It's a good way to display them in an organized manner and it's not expensive either
Had just watched this in London last Monday at the Adelphi, where I probably wont be able to see in back in Singapore here. I'm still riding on the dopamine high of watching the show. I heard they just celebrated their 100th performance at the Adelphi over the weekend
I was there that night too and had a great time. It was also my first time in New York as well. I saw the movie on opening night at the cinema in 1985 also.
I got waayyy too into enamel pins and I finally figured out I can display them on some felt I sewed onto a dowel! I've also displayed them on some fabric in an embroidery hoop before but it looked kind of out of place? and you don't get a lot of space for the pins that way.
On collecting pins: you can buy a large and deep frame, take out the back and wrap some nice plain fabric behind it. You can then pin on your badges and underneath glue on the date you got it
Roger Bart seems like perfect casting for Doc Brown! I absolutely loved Bart as Carmen Ghia in The Producers musical, and I can see much of the energy from that performance in his version of Doc!
Thanks for the heads up Julianna! 😎
