self aprecciation takes a long ass time, since the pandemic started i was at a really shitty place in my life, after what feels like an eternity but its only 3 years, i feel a lot better and i know i can get even further, exercising and eating healthy home cooked meals came a long way for myself, probably my blood exams were fucked from drinking and eating like shit everyday a while back but damn, i actually feel alive in during my normal ass routine

As a guy who loves heavy metal, i absolutely love this song. The positive vibes, the catchy chorus. Riffs almost have a Polyphia-esque vibe to them. It all just flows so well. Awesome song!

I’m not sure if it’s the chorus or the lyrics, but this is my favorite song Beartooth has put out since something off Aggressive. You can tell Caleb is happy and having fun with it too

I want more pop influenced "core" stuff. Issues was the standard, Sleep Token has some great darker pop songs which got me into them back in 2019. More guitars as an accessory vs focus Nightlife. is another good band like that.

loveless, dayseeker, rain city drive, slaves, awaken i am, too close to touch, catch your breath. all semi-popular bands that have songs that kinda fit in the same category as this (so maybe heavy pop rock) not that genre matters much anymore but if u like the vibe there u go.

I agree that we need more positive metal-adjacent music. The "breakdown" was a highlight for me because instead of being a "break stuff because I'm angry" moment, it felt more like a jump for joy, high-five your friend, kind of moment of celebration. Other "recent" happy moments in heavier music I've seen recently: 1. Dayseeker "Afterglow". After a very sad and depressing reflection of Rory losing his father, the album ends in a very hopeful major key celebration of the joy he gets when he thinks of his daughter. 2. Sleep Token "Euclid". Vessel flips the script on "The Night Does Not Belong to God"--a statement in the negative, and revises it to "The Night Belongs to You" and the song shifts to a major key. After the long and dysfunctional journey of that album, it ends on a very empowering and hopeful feeling that the horizon is a bright one. What other examples can you guys think of?

This is cool and a breath of resh air, however you can make songs with positive lyrics and still have the instruments be heavy, nasty and down right just filthy at the same time too. I do agree and prefer positive heavy over sad boy heavy.

Ive played guitar for 3/4 of my somehow young life. Our whole generation was ruined by nümetal and its sadness. Him and fhe guitarists are going back to their roots. Its jazz in 2023, i aint gonna be racist about it but it came from a spot that i didn't... Jimmy Page admitted the same thing and it's them embracing jazz guitar riffs and r&b singing. This song hits for me hard tbh

not sure I agree with most of the music in our genre being depressing and a put down to yourself. but actually following through like Caleb has done over the past 4 years or so is a great message for people. shit may not be easy but if you stay consistent you will get there one day.
