We moved out of the city and this is what happened next
This week we have a look at some of the things we have done over the years to turn this piece of overgrown abandoned land into our dream off-grid homestead. This is by no means everything we have done though, there is lots of repetition and just the general mundane of life. But we love it here, and love to share some of it with you.

New here? My name is Lea and I live with my partner Maarten, our toddler Puck and baby Bo on our land in Central Portugal. We left the rat race in the Netherlands in 2018 and moved south in our old campervan. Two years ago we bought land in Portugal that had been abandoned for several decades. After lots of hard work we now live in a beautiful yurt and keep ourselves busy growing our own vegetables as well as producing olive oil, wine and honey on a small scale. This channel documents all the different jobs we have to do, and sometimes some nice footage of this beautiful country we now call home.

Your tenacity for such a large project (compounded by caring for small children) is truly admirable. Well done!
Haha, I love how the fearless chickens all crowd around the working digger to eat the uprooted bugs.
Thank you for coming back ! We here missed you. Praying you have a fruitful year. Please don’t give up. Thank you for your so hard work.
So much hard work, so much progress, such beautiful people, what a joy to watch ❤️

I just love how the chickens always follow the digger around - completely not being bothered by it :D
I SO APPRECIATE YOUR SHOWING 4 YEARS WORTH OF hard WORK AND HOW THINGS ARE IN REALITY. I will share your bit of reality with others who have little or no idea what homesteading from scratch can be like. You have worked so hard for your land and children. What a bounty of goodness you have enabled to grow and flourish. I wish you endless years of joy, fun, humor and love to go with all your work, planning and purposeful acquisitions of more land, implements and goodness. You have certainly earned your view. You and your children have created a strong solid foundation and memorable history together to share for the rest of your lives. Amen to the source of all goodness. Blessings to you. I send smiles and hugs to all.
i have some solar cells for you, 20v open circuit, 16v 1,6amp. i've got 14, want to keep four.

This was lovely! You've really transformed this land, I can tell the land loves you.
Really enjoy seeing your projects and everything you are doing.
What can I say, this is a wholesome life. I'm happy for you!
So happy to see you back. You’ve both worked so hard and it shows. And I look forward to seeing what kind of wonderful projects you accomplish this year. Watching the children grow is such a treat too.
I am amazed by your progress over the years. you should be proud of yourselves, cause you did so well. wishing you all the best for 2023 and years to come.
I discovered you today. I cannot tell you how much respect and admiration I feel for you and your beautiful kids. May Gott bless you, your animals and your land! In Bulgarian "agriculture" means litarally translated "to make soil" and this is what you do indeed. Warm regards from Germany, where I have been living for the last 34 years.
You have accomplished so much, and the children are healthy and happy.
So enjoyable to be reminded of all the hard work you have done on your land. Well done. Looking forward to seeing what you achieve in the next four years.
It has been a four year constant progress, you must really be proud of yourselves, considering you had two little children to care about and make them happy to share with you that lovely farming experience. In another four year project you will be able to enjoy a lot of the potential of your land including your future house. Keep your energy and your youth make the best all around your dreams.
How abandoned the land was and what you have achieved is amazing. I'm always afraid of the fires in your area, and abandoned lands are a good place where they've started. Keep up the excellent work. I believe you have also wild animals around.

Been watching you guys for a while. SO INSPIRATIONAL! Thanks for sharing your story 🙏

I only started watching your channel about a year ago, so this 4 year montage was a real eye opener. I had no idea that your land was so large and overgrown at the outset. What an incredible job you have done! So much hard work. Such vision. Such beauty. I am sure that your delightful family will continue to thrive and I will continue to watch with bated breath as you battle your way on, hopefully with more well-defined downtime. Love with joy.

Smashing it out of the park. Everyday!
New subscriber here. Love seeing all the progress! You took on a project that others rejected because of the sheer enormity of clearing the land. But you braved the challenge, even with a toddler and later, a baby. The painstaking work of your hands has been blessed with success! Beautiful land! Getting water on your property is essential. Nice job in digging out a pond. Giving your children the opportunity to experience the joys of country living is a big plus. Love your efforts in 'Saving the bees'... this important. So much to say, loving your journey! 👍
For anyone considering building such an amazing homestead - I would recommend Bulgaria🇧🇬 as a possible location! It is amazing, affordable and it offers so much personal freedom!

This is the first time I've watched your video, channel, it was beautifully created not to mention your progress, it seems so gentle with the narration but I know it was an enormous amount of hard work, you are to be congratulated on your strength of mind and body especially the mother, its not easy to work so hard carrying babies before and after birth, thanks to the father he's a tower of strength, I think you are a wonderful young family, best wishes from Oz !!🥰💕👌👍💪🐕🐔🚜
WOW!!!!!! Wonderful!!!❤❤
I am a new subscriber and am so impressed with the work you have accomplished. It's interesting to watch you not only dodge the children while digging but you manage to dodge the chickens as well! Good luck and God Bless you both and your beautiful children. Looking forward to your next posting. From Mississippi in the USA.
I cant stress enough being able to raise children in an environment like this is priceless for their development. They are being given knowledge so far above what any institution could give. What the last 2 / 3 years or several decades if your awake in the west should of taught us. Is that trust in govt and it's institutions and corporate power has destroyed the west. Living like this connected to the earth is how we are supposed to live. How we are designed to live. Here is the kicker we have the right to live on the land we were born with that right. We have given that sovereignty away..... To govt, to police, to the courts. 2023 people if you value freedom at all do not accept the digital ID, it's a trap. They are going offer benefits at the start to join , don't do it we have many following us who will be enslaved to this system for god knows how long. Stand your ground people and believe in community, friends, family if your lucky and your own sovereignty and above all stop watching MSM.
When the digger is out, the chickens 🐔 yell, "the restaurant is open ", lol. They know the best food is available for them, so they love to chase after the digger because to them, it is their "food truck".
What a fantastic recap of your time on the land! You have all come so far! ❤
Great video ! ❤❤❤
Hope you had a restful break. Thanks for the look back. How much you have accomplished!
Very cool. Congratulations
