He was my childhood idol and also got me into playing basketball. Passed away a day before my 29th birthday. Rest peacefully..

I was rocking the lower Merion jersey. I still have it. Kobe was the best to hate and the best to love. I don't care about stats and all that shit. Kobe is my Goat.

Thats insane brother, i appreciate the love. I love hearing stories like that.. it mustve been surreal to watch his evolution in realtime compared to me only seeing the end of his peak. Thats one thing I would have enjoyed experiencing!

@@ceezus TBH I might of killed myself without bbal and Kobe. He saved me. Him Tupac kept me sane. They both died tragically. Spirit lives on in me and other OGs. They made me the best I could be. MJ and Bird did before that, but I didnt feel a Bond with them. Kobe and PAC were different.

Never liked a sport in my life. Until 18. Then I stumbled onto videos of kobe bryant's speeches. It interested me who he was as an athlete. For whole 18 years treasure was hidden from me. The grace that basketball can show you. You can't tell it by words. And how Kobe played its just amazes me each and every time. I like how he made game look tough when he made those full contested jumpers but graceful.
