I know we are so excited and happy for our Jin to return, but like any returning soldier, he will need a time of adjustment. I don't think we can expect too much at first. But our hearts will be so happy just to know he is home and able to move forward with his life in just the way he wants.

I'm SO glad you SAID that!🙂Those have ALWAYS been my sentiments EXACTLY!🙂The way some ARMYs are "talking", Jin will BARELY be able to get his duffle bag unzipped before he's expected to do a Weverse Live as soon as he gets home.🥴 Put out an album the next week🥴, go on talk shows🥴, hold fan meets🥴, post on IG every other hour🥴. Whew!😝Back up a little bit ARMYs! He's NOT our toy soldier. A GORGEOUS one☺ -- but NOT our toy. We've waited THIS long for you Jin. Context: Coldplay sold out 10 concerts, for at least 600k people in that stadium. Was a very special moment in our country, and Jin was part of it. That day, many people met our WWH for the first time, and were captivated by his visuals and voice. Even without knowing him, they were very respectful towards him. Arjintina

People had wristbands that they had to return at the end of the concert that were synchronized by bluetooth to be reused at other concerts (Coldplay this time did ten sold-out concerts). In Argentina we love music and Coldplay is very loved. The icing on the cake for the lucky ones was to enjoy them more than Jin who also, from what they saw, was very well received and accompanied by ARMY Argentina who sang the song despite having just been released. Greetings from Argentina. Betty, 53, is a BTS fan.

I am an army from Argentina, I bought tickets for Coldplay for that one show (they did 10 shows here) 9 months before jin announcement that he was coming here to perform that one song, I cried and lost my voice the day of the concert, an unforgettable moment 💜😭

Jin will shine even more ..being by himself ..he is just magical ..and has so much to give as an artist ❤i'm so ready for him to set the wirld on fire both with hoskusic and endless charisma ❤🔥

Jin's voice is EVERYTHING!!!! I love his voice so much. I just want to hear him sing all the time.

Love this, because it really shows a little of how their life is when on tour, how much time they need to spend often alone in hotel rooms and how lonely it could be for them. They always say they need each other so much, and this really shows why, not only for the performance and practice time, but also for hotel time. There is at least another YT of Jin behind the scenes, getting to the stadium, meeting up with Coldplay, rehearsing and then coming back for the show, and he repeatedly talks about how lonely and nervous it feels without his members. Frankly, Coldplay are lovely with him! I think a lot of ARMYs love Coldplay - and Codlplay fane - for their beautiful care for Jin at this concert. I know I do.

I'm definitely also OT7!!! Bit I've missed Jin like crazy!! I rewatched his 3 hour live of him playing that game, and his reactions and frustration throughout was just so epic!!

Colored glow sticks have been a thing at concerts for a long time. The branded light sticks, like the ones we see at K-pop concerts, were the idea of G-Dragon from Big Bang, back in 2006. I believe the lights at Coldplay concerts are light up wristbands.

About LIGHTSTICKS - some says that the tradition (at least in Asia?) began with Saijo Hideki (japanese) and his fans at the 1974 concert in Osaka Stadium. You can see his fans with lights (what appears to be glow sticks or possibly small flashlights) in concert footage in Blow up Hideki (1975). I remember (in Europe somewhere in 80s) conserts with lighters, but those was quite dangerous (expecially coz sticky hair🔥😅). Greetings from the north edge of Europe

My first intro to K culture was through Kdramas. I watched a drama called Reply 1997 and it depicted the early fan culture of KPop. The fandoms would choose a color and would blow up the small colored balloons and hold them up like the light sticks of today. Eventually they would add mini flashlights to illuminate their balloons in the dark venues. Some enterprising mind invented the light stick and have been improving them (with Bluetooth, etc) ever since. I think Blaze is right about the light sticks stemming from KPop influence. I’m 50, so I remember people lighting lighters back in the day which eventually became phones. As K-pop exposure has grown in the west, light sticks or similar devices are becoming the norm at big events. Again, enterprising minds realize that there is a demand and they will supply. Side note, I first looked up the name BTS because I heard it in a Kdrama a couple of years ago 🤣

Saw Coldplay back in 2017 and they were AMAZING! One of the most fun, happy shows I’ve ever been too!

I saw Coldplay during the MyloXyloto tour back in 2011/2012 and they had these bracelets given out at the door to the audience that were light up and synchronized with the venue, so they have been doing it a long while now. I can't speak to if they were inspired by kpop at the time, google says the first lightsticks in kpop were released in 2006.

Yes, the colorful lights are definitely inspired by kpop bc before bts went global any international artists did concerts like that. You know, just the classic with the lights of the phone but now more and more artists started adding technology with bluetooth like Coldplay here with wristbands. Even some have tried to make lightsticks like the Reggaeton artist J Balvin but that lightstick was literally a copy of the army bomb so they had to remove that product from the market. (Btw I'm not saying they invented lightsticks bc apparently it was in japan but it wasn't common it all there in Japan)
