Disagree on the better shape part. I think they both look excellent. As far as materials go... even the OG is still a modern Jordan; the materials aren't good, they're just softer. I find that the Retro AJ1 Lows hold up better, honestly. They wear more like a 2000s Vans skate shoe.

this is the normal sneaker market, the facts are is that this is what the sneaker market always was prior to covid. You would have a few heat drops int he year that would pull somewhat of a return on the resale market. you now have higher retail prices and an oversaturated sneaker market,. You have resale stores closing, social media plugs drying up, etc. This is the normal. Whether people want to believe it or not. And this is during inflation...

I think the Black toe will slowly go up but at this point I copped these the Chambray 7’s and a lot of other shoes this year that have sat or were slept on and I love it 2021 was the hardest year to cop pairs due to reselling so I’m thankful times have changed. If any of my shoes only worth 2 dollars according to the market as long as I got and can rock that is a factor I don’t even care about Keep making movies Jay 200K otw!!

It's simply, supply and demand. The black toes won't reach $350 because these new resellers will continue to under cut each other on StockX. The demand is not there anymore for Jordan 1s especially lows. Hence why they are sitting.😢

SNKRS did a poll a few years ago, more consumers prefer the Off-White x Jordan 1 Chicago over the Jordan 1 Retro OG Chicago. Survey results were truly eye-opening! 2019 You had those Chicago black toes, Mystic green, court purple,Royal toe lows, SBB lows, gold toes so many which were all either $90 or $100 & easily available sitting on Nike. The new OG (just another title)$140 retail price point kinda kills the demand. Lower the price & they would move more. Just my $.02

Facts! I got those 2019 Chicago black toes, Mystic Greens, and SBB. Even though my Chicago lows aren't leather or have the Nike tag. I think it's stupid if I basically bought the same shoe for $60 more just cause it's got Nike Air on the tongue.

The Metallic Red Foamposite is a classic shoe but not an everyday wear anymore. A novelty shoe. The Jordan 1 lows should be readily available like a Chuck Taylor. I love it. The nubuck Jordan 1 black toe have a more vibrant red which makes them more desirable

It’s all about hype. Foams will always be a must cop for me. But for all the hypebeasts if it’s not selling out then they don’t want it.

Obviously the materials are better on the OG pair, but i actually prefer the look of the new lows, the OG’s looks too much like bowling shoes 🤷‍♂️

You can ask for anything on a shoe, that’s not market price. It’s the highest bid, what people actually are willing to spend, that’s current market.

I have two Black Toes that will be "sitting" at my door today. I feel like everyone can't pull off foams, myself being one, but I would be surprised if the employee that told you that was over 18.

I went on Stock X to fact check and ya this WILD. I love it because everyone clowns on 1 mids and lows (none OG) but they are NICE for what 1's are meant to be EVERYDAY BEATERS instead of shoes you're afraid of creasing. That also being said this is for those who want OG's to cop for the cheap (not really)

Man, I actually want a second pair of the 2019 version. I bought the OG’s last week, and they’re nice, but I like the toe on the ‘19 version.

You know what i think, the 2019 pair’s price is that high since 2021 because it’s the only low black toe available back then. Now that the OG has released, i predict that the 2019 pair’s price will go down rather than the newly released OG’s price go up. Btw, i have both. I have the 2019 pair since 2019 and have been my beaters and i’m glad i got the OG now too. ❤

Jay you read my mind. I did the exact same thing recently and checked prices on both of these on StockX and can’t understand why the 2019 costs more?? But I think market will correct in about a year and the ogs will go up while the 2019s will come down

I got the 2019 Jordan Black Toe Low from Foot Locker I like them, but that suede was odd. The one thing the 2019 have over the ‘23 OG low is how wide the swoosh is on it.

Hype moves in mysterious ways and for this release I am overjoyed that these are "sitting". Its beautiful. Stay blessed Jay and looking forward to that on foot video!

I agree that the new OG material is much superior but I have soo many close in color designs that I just don't need the new ones.

I personally like and would pay more for the 2019 non-OG pair. The swoosh, embroidered logo on the rear, plush tongue, and the upper red layer around the ankle do it for me. I also like the way the nubuck makes the black toe seem deeper/darker in color than the leather does. (Don’t come for me in the comments 😂)

Foams are dope. I buy every foam that drops if i am able. Only ones i dont have from this year so far is the doerenbechers. I think people just sleep and stay on the hype. Definitely want them a mas for sure though.

Mine just shipped I wasn’t finna sleep on them 2019 are garbage compared to the 2023 black toe

The OG’s that just came out are sweet, the only thing where it missed the mark is by not keeping it with the same materials all around, the front half of the shoe is 🔥, but the back of the shoe has a cheaper look and feel on the material after I received them. I do think they will go up in the future. Now on the 2019 AJ low 1’s win with the consistent materials all around the shoe, and I still think they are unique then and now - hence the nostalgia that keeps the price up even if it’s not OG.

I didn’t think so before but the 2023 ones better so they gotta get there fr. 350 for the 2019 ones crazy.

2019 sat, I bought my gs for $80 cad and wear still wearing them as my work beaters today. People were still dissing Jordan lows in 2019. IMO I still like the 2019 better because of the colour scheme. Buy what you like and wear it. I will pick up a pair of these for retail $140 now to replace my work pair eventually.

Great convo bro… I believe the reason the 2019 less pair in circulation. The 2023 has pairs every where type thing and this generation if it ain’t buzzing they don’t want it or can’t wear it.. then when it’s 150 over retail then they need it… sneakerheads winning right now..

I got the trash black toe low back when new for $54 out the door from Hibbets, have laughed at the price of them for a while since they boomed post covid. A lot of the trash lows and mids took off (look at the lakers mids) and it makes no damn sense. My guess is resellers passing them between accounts to drive price up, but can not prove it. The new black toe OG lows were an easy cop at retail, and I am rocking them now. Great quality

Just Received Today The Black Toes from Nike App, Damn Quality is Very Nice , I Also seem That Tongue looks a little Smaller compared To The Travis Scott Lows in any Colorway & These Black Toes have A Puffy Tongue which is more Comfy. Since I copped Also from Nike App The Teyana Taylor 1’s , I’ve Noticed that The Red Laces that Came With Match Exactly The Red Color on the back & Those laces come with The Golden Tip so it gives Them a Nice Touch. Very Excited with This Purchase.

I have the non og one. When I bought it, it still had a lot stocks. Surprisingly, the resell price is $500 now.

Jay’s rockin a Giants hat!!!!! I have that same one. I’m sure that older black toe low had those high prices because that was the only option available at the time. Now that the 2023 pair dropped, I’m sure it will eventually overtake the 2019 version in value over time.

I definitely think the value will go up on the OG pair.

The 2019 red is more cleaner. If they didn’t messed up the red heel on the 2023 pair, the sneakers will shoot up the price instant.

I have both pairs and the OG’s are going to be sitting on ice cause the 1 lows have aged a little bit there a bit of yellowing on the midsole so I to brighten them up with FZ 150 and the only reason why the low 1’s are so high is cause at the time 2019 it was the only black toe low that held its time till now and when that first line of colors came out that black toe low 1 sold out but there was a Royal blue and a green one too and also a white gum hyper pink bottom that a lot of sneaker heads went crazy for cause those colors came off the SB line.

I think no matter what over time they will start to go up because it’s a og color way and over time it’ll be harder to find a ds pair so they will be worth more that and og low over a reg low people would want a og low so they will definitely go up in price in my opinion

Sneakers are seasonal to me. I try not to where suede sneakers in the summer. Breathable materials for the weather. But then I don’t wear things like prestos for example after the summer ends.

But hypes can make me dislike shoes; the best is seeing the potential in a shoe few others like, and rockin those. I also like to mix up wearing classics and new designs..
